MK and MVMCP on the same day?

DH and I have tickets for MVMCP on 2 nights, 12/7 and 12/9. We had planned to to be at MK when they opened on 12/7 to see all the characters, spend the day, take a break and head back for our PS at LTT at 5:15 and then stay for the party. Since we are having another MVMCP to spend time at MK, would you spend the day at MK also? Or would you just go for the party time? I have been reading on here about the crowds and it sounds like we would have much shorter lines and all during the parties. Is it worth is to go early and fight the crowds when we will be going later that night and there will be fewer people? But given the time of year, are there really crowds to worry about? I am confused! Thanks for your input!

I woudn't spend the day at MK then do the party that night.The parties are a wonderful way to beat the crowds.You're going 2 different nights so you'll be sure to see all the stuff at the MK.Maybe head over another day if you want to see the park in the daylight.

I think it depends on two things. Which days you are going and what you would like to see and do.

Last year we did what you are planning on two days, a Fri. and a Sunday. Friday during the day the park had very light crowds but MVMCP was sold out and packed to the gills. Sunday however was the exact opposite. It was EE day and crowded during the day but that diminished close to park closing.

It also depends on what you are planning to do during MVMCP. Are you using it to ride the attractions then IMHO, go during the weekday the first two weeks of Dec. However, crowds matter very little for most of the programs and the parade which I believe is a MUST!!

We are going to MK on Thursday early Dec and stayin for MVMCP that night. We did this 5 years ago and the party was so light we got thru the MK in one day and did it all and saw all the shows. This allowed another day at another park.
