mjshorses 4/2/12 Wishes PJ-3 DAYS TILL THE WEDDING!!!!

You absolutely deserved to be nominated!! I am in love with couples putting their own special touches on their weddings, combining things they love, etc. :) Your pics are wonderful!!

Thank you, KrisitLyn!

I've been following your PJ, though I don't think I've posted yet.

I have been really enjoying seeing your ideas and reading your plans. Your engagement pictures are adorable, and I LOVE your save the dates!

I will definitely be following along. :)

Thank you so much!!!! Where are you from in Texas? I was thinking about moving there sometime in the future. I miss the south and I can't wait to get out of New England; Especially right now with all this snow we're getting. I'm really tired of shoveling and snow blowing!!

I currently live in College Station, I'm attending Texas A&M but will be graduating in May (yikes!). I grew up in a small town in north Texas (think on border of Oklahoma, directly north of Dallas), and my family currently lives in a suburb of Houston.

My fiance and I are hoping to stay in Texas after graduation, but we'll see. And yeah, can't say we do much of the shoveling or snow blowing here! Plus, everyone says Texas is just friendly :)

:goodvibes hahaha, I've been at work all day and just got home so I've only now just found out about the results of the Disney Wedding Awards on Carly's blog!

I have to admit; it's kind of bittersweet. I feel very happy and honored that Nathan and I were nominated and, of course, thrilled that we won but I can't help but wonder if we really won or if that was a fluke. I guess there was a glitch going on which affected the voting. I know that two or three days prior I watched everyone's votes go from high numbers to low twice, only to return back to high. Not to mention, I have a very proud, over-enthusiastic mother who probably rallied all of her friends to vote. Whoever mentioned to Carly that perhaps only followers of the blog should be allowed to vote, perhaps you're right, maybe that would make it more fair. I don't know if that's the reason Nathan and I won our category; I'm hoping not. I hope people really did just genuinely vote for us because they like our pictures.

Aaaaannnnndddd..... I REALLY hope, that when I jokingly mentioned to my mom, "oh you have to nominate my e-pics on this blog." that she wasn't one of the ones that flooded Carly with nominations! How embarrassing would that be!?! Anyway, I know this is going to sound cheesy but I am really just so grateful to have been nominated.

All joking aside, I just wanted to say that I hope all the nominees know how beautiful their events were and I want to say a personal "thank you" to each of you for sharing your special days with all of us! :goodvibes

Oh gosh, I hope I didn't spoil the surprise for you. :guilty: If it helps any I actually liked your pics the best BUT I voted for the Disneyland pics because I gotta stay loyal to my home park, hahahaha!! All the e-pic nominees were super great and I'm sure you got the majority of your votes fair and square. When I voted (and who knows if my vote was lost??? :confused3), it was very close between all three.

So anyway, don't feel guilty, enjoy your win because your vision of your e-pics was so lovely and original and you deserve some recognition. :goodvibes

Aww, thanks Mindy!!! (lol, no you didn't spoil the surprise I found out a few minutes before I logged into the disboards :) )

I did! :thumbsup2 I really thought your e-pics were unique and beautiful! Congratulations on a well-deserved win! :goodvibes

Thank you so much, Pixie! I can't wait for the wedding date to get even closer so I can share more of my abnormal, uhem, I mean, creative wedding ideas with ya'll!

Congrats on the win! I voted for you a few times, as I really loved how you brought disney to you. And the pictures with your horse are unreal!! :goodvibes

So I'm having a cake topper made from a seller on Etsy that's suppose to resemble Nathan and I, and now I'm encountering a dilemma. What color suits should the guys wear????

I was originally going to have them wear tan suits but then I changed my mind and I think I'd much rather have them wear gray or black suits.

What do you guys think? Which color?

Here are the bridesmaid dresses and remember they'll be wearing them with cowboy boots. (The guys will be wearing regular dress shoes, not boots).

Gosh, I can be so indecisive! :confused3 Any help would by much appreciated!!

Would you consider navy suits at all?

I also think dark grey suits would look nice with your bm dresses. I'm weird about the idea of black suits (I mean ones that aren't tuxes) at a wedding ... they make me think of undertakers. But that's probably just me! ;)

I think Grey or navy would look good. Black could work as well, although I think it might be too big of a contrast from the BM dress. I shy away from brown suits just because then they have to get (buy or rent) brown shoes, and that's an extra cost on top of the suit.

I agreed about the dark grey suits. I think it would go very well with the BM dresses. Navy could work, too.

lol, you made me laugh!

Thanks, you two, I think I'm leaning more toward dark gray. I agree about black suits, if we went black it would be tuxes but then I think that would be too formal.
