mjshorses 4/2/12 Wishes PJ-3 DAYS TILL THE WEDDING!!!!

I just found your PJ and am loving your plans so far! I am so in love with the Melissa Sweet dress you chose! I've been obsessing over it for the last couple months and am trying to devise a way to make it fit into my wedding budget (square peg in a round hole I'm afraid). :lmao:

I'm sure it will look absolutely fab on you, especially with the boots! And so perfect for a "country" wedding, but still totally elegant and gorgeous.

Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Thank you so much!! I think the dress was made to wear with cowboy boots! hahaha :goodvibes I have found people selling this dress online. If you look, you can probably find a good deal!

Just found your PJ. Your engagement story was cute but it also had me laughing with the lady tripping. :lmao: Your dress is so nice and it goes so great with your theme. And you and your DF look amazing in your engagement pictures. They came out wonderful! I love all the Disney touches. :cutie: Looking forward to reading more. popcorn::

Thank you so much. Lol, I think the lady was hilarious, all though, at the time I was horrified!

Just joining in! I love you engagement pics! They are fab! We didnt have any e-pics and now Im starting to wish we had!! I love your dress too...it fits so perfectly with your theme! I cant wait to read more! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!! You know, it's never too late to get those e-pics!!!! I can't wait till I have more to post. I was just reading some of the other 2012 brides' pj's and I feel like i'm so far behind and I had better stop procrastinating!!

Just stumbled across your PJ & wanted to say I love love love your theme, your dress, & your engagement pictures! Very excited to follow along in your planning! Congrats! :yay:

Just joining in!! :) LOVE everything!! Your engagement story was so wonderful and love your country idea! I grew up in TX for most of my life as well as in NM, so I am a country girl at heart as well! :)

Your engagement photos are gorgeous! Def. think I will have to steal the mickey balloon idea! :)

Sorry, I know it's been a little while since I've posted. Tomorrow is our 16 month mark so hopefully Friday or Monday we'll find out if we got our ceremony time and location! I'm a little nervous about our reception site (We want the reception in the St. Augustine Ballroom at the GF and the prereception in the Whitehall Room), when I spoke with our wedding consultant a few weeks back she said that the ballrooms and even whitehall had things going on in them earlier in the day :scared: I guess I really thought it being the Monday before Easter there probably wouldn't be any conventions. Guess I thought wrong:blush: This waiting till the 12 month mark stinks! :goodvibes

The rest of our engagement picture proofs are up and we're buying the DVD from the photographers so that my sister can make our save-the-dates with them. She's a photographer and was originally supposed to fly out to do our e-pics but she got pregnant and that kind of nixed that..but on the bright side my new nephew Grayson was born two weeks ago! Also, we fell in love with the two young photographers that did our pics so much that we are having them fly out to shoot the wedding. We're going to meet with them next week to put down the deposit and discuss the details. I'm going to contact Simply Cinematic about videography all though I keep going back and forth between them and just using Disney for the videography. I know they're both on the pricier side but videography is important to me because I want to be able to relive the day over and over.

I've been working on Pre-RSVPs so that we can send them out with the S-T-D's. Hopefully, people will respond so that we can have a better idea on how many people plan to come. I'll post those and the pre-rsvp's as soon as I get them.

Also, Nathan and I went shopping on black Friday and ended up purchasing my wedding band at a steal of a price!! I really wish he would have found a band he liked so we could have saved on his as well, but boy, sometimes I think he's more picky then I am! The ring was sent out to be sized and should be back in Friday or Saturday so as soon as I get that back I'll post pics.

Oh, and I went and saw TANGLED on opening day and I absolutely fell in love with it. It is now, officially, my favorite Disney movie. I'm thinking about trying to incorporate a few things from it. I really loved the idea of floating lanterns. I would love for Nathan and I to be able to release two of them at the end of the night but as Disney's strict about such things if we can't maybe we'll have them put up paper lanterns in the WP and reception room. :confused3 Not really sure yet I guess I need to think more about it.

Anyway, that's all I have for now. I hope everyone had a good Holiday. Can you believe Christmas is just a few weeks away?!?

I ended up liking Tangled more than I thought I was going to :goodvibes
I fell in LOVE with the song, "I See The Light"...I have to play that at the wedding now! :rotfl:
I think it would be neat to do something with the lanterns--that was my favorite part. Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

First of all, congratulations on your new nephew!! :goodvibes

It sounds like you've got a lot of things arranged already -- you're very organized!

I love the idea of hanging lanterns in your reception room. I think it would be so pretty and I hope you can find a way to make it work! And I hope you can get your preferred spaces; that 12-month window is a nail-biter for sure!

We were going to use Whitehall, and it ended up at the 12-month mark that while it was still available, the entire rest of the convention center was booked with conventions. The thought of the place being packed made us nervous (I've seen the Contemporary in full convention mode and it's pretty overwhelming IMHO). We ended up moving to the Napa Room (which will actually be more convenient for our group, since we're all staying at BLT). So here's hoping you'll have lots of space and no conflicts! :goodvibes

This past Thursday was our 16 month mark and today I received a call from my consultant that we got our date!!!!!!!!!! Wooo hoo! Slowly, but surely, the big day is creeping closer!!

Friday my wedding band came in from being sized and so now I can share some pics.

And, to add to the exciting news I stopped by Zales today to get my ring cleaned (I have a bad habit of stopping by to have it cleaned every time I go into the mall even if I just had it done the day before. I know, I'm so weird! I can't help my compulsions!) and I fell in love with an aquamarine earring and necklace set. So now, not only do I have my wedding jewlery, I have my something blue!

Here are some pics the stones, for some reason, are a lot lighter blue in person; they almost look like glass:

Oh I love the Jewlery! My mom has an aquamarine cocktail ring(that I LOVE) that my dad bought in an estate sale a bajillion years ago that would match that perfectly!!

Just tuning in to your beautiful PJ. I think it is absolutely lovely of you to honor your parents with your wedding date! I love that you were engaged on September 25th, I was engaged on the same date, just 5 years before you. (Long engagement I know). I think it is so thoughtful how your df included both of your parents. I also :lovestruc the idea of cowboy boots! The inspiration pics you had were charming. I am still catching up, but it is getting late, I have subscribed to your thread. popcorn:: hopefully i can get fully caught up tomorrow.

Thank you! Yeah, I think aquamarines are really pretty!

Thank you! I'm trying to think of something I can include in the ceremony to honor them. It's a bit of a stress relief to get the confirmation that we got our date but I won't be fully relaxed till we sign the LOA. I guess there's still a chance that they can pull our date?

I love your ring and the earrings and necklace...SOOOO PRETTY!

your rings are so pretty!

Thank you so much, Valerie and LuvLuv!!

Well, as of today, we are 1 year, 3 months, and 20 days from our wedding day! It seems so far, and yet, at the same time, it's moving along fairly quickly. I know that doesn't sound possible, but it's true.

We currently have an official, tentative hold on our date and ceremony/reception time and location. I guess that's kind of oxymoronic, as well. lol, Congratulations, we have officially, "maybe" booked your wedding!
Does this make me feel better? Officially?...well, 'maybe'. It makes me excited that we're getting a little closer to the big day. And, really, it's only 3 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days, according to my ticker, till we can sign our LOA but at the same time anything can happen in 3 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days, right?

I picked our date because it's my parents wedding anniversary and I like the sentimental value of it. Unfortunately, this date falls on the Monday before Easter Sunday. It's probably premiere season for Disney. Hush, I tell myself. Don't get yourself all worked up. In 3 months and 19 days, you will know. And, until then, it's out of your hands.

I got an email from Diane, my wedding consultant this morning. "....I just wanted to make sure you knew that Cinderella's Coach is confirmed for you.
Have a great day!
Diane"

Yay, oh goodie, we have confirmation on Cinderella's Coach for our "officially, maybe" day. I wonder if the miniature horses mind that they have to remain on call for that date since it isn't certain they will be needed. Do you think it frustrates them that they can't make plans for the next 3 1/2 months for that date with their pasture mates? lol, okay, enough of that!

Actually, I'm not sure if I'm going to have Cinderella's coach. I wanted it at first, but when I found out the price and the amount of time that you actually have it for I thought it ridiculous and nixed it. However, my mom really, really wants me to have it. And, as you might have figured out, I'd do anything for my parents. I guess, even pay a ridiculous fee for a horse and carriage. We'll see...maybe I can talk some sense into her.

I'm very excited because I've booked with Patricia Lejune and they will move the date if we end up not getting April 2.! I really wanted her so I'm so pleased! Tomorrow I'm meeting with my photographers to discuss the wedding details, pay the deposit, and sign the contract. So there's another mark off my checklist.

I'm still having trouble making a decision about videography. So, that's still up in the air.

The day before we ordered the bridesmaid dresses. They're from JCREW. Unfortunately, they didn't have everyone's sizes in the color I wanted and they couldn't tell me if they would get anymore or if they were being discontinued so on the advice from my sister I got hers in one color, the color I really wanted, since she's the matron of honor, and the, two others I got in the other color I was debating, graphite. Apparently, it's in fashion to not only have bridesmaids wear different dress styles but different colors as well. Well, as you'll see in a moment, they're all the same style. I had to pick something that I thought would look good with cowboy boots so that limited my options even further so I decided to take my sister up on her suggestion.

However, because I loved these dresses so much I had to compromise my original wedding colors of different shades of brown, cream, and champagne to champagne, grey, and a pale pinkish greyish lavender (which I realize doesn't make any sense but as you can tell from the picture the first dress almost looks to be a champagne-ish or maybe a pale dusty pink color, but it's listed as "light amethyst" and not having seen them in person I had to make up a color for ya'll :goodvibes).

Oh, well, can't have everything you want ;) I did also buy her a dress that's a different style but the same color as the other two in case I don't end up like the different color dress. I'll return which ever one I decide against.

Here are the dresses:

Now I'll post some more pics from our e-pics to kind of reward anyone who reads this really long, rambling post or my PJ in general :rotfl:

Love the bridesmaids dresses you chose! I think they'll look great with the boots! ;) (I also wore a JCrew dress as a bridesmaid before, they were really comfy--so that's a plus!:thumbsup2)

And I think the color scheme still looks pretty close to what you wanted...they're still all pretty subtle and neutral. :yay:

LOVE your rings! :) Which reminds me I need to get mine cleaned... it is looking pretty dingy! :scared1:

Those bridesmaid dresses are so pretty! You don't see many gray dresses, and I think they will look awesome with some cowboy boots! :) I love the tops!

I can imagine being so close to your date but not having a definite answer... they are like dangling the date in front of you, but you can't have it just yet... :)

Great posts!! Keep it up!! popcorn::

here's some more pics from our e-session done back in October.

(I'm watching Phantom of the Opera as I'm uploading these pictures. Now I want a Phantom of the Opera themed wedding....hmmm :happytv:)
