I'm begining to wonder how I will handle Mission Space. I did not like the Body Wars ride, it did make me a bit dizzy. For those who have rode MS, and Body Wars how do you think they compare?

I'm already planning to do Mission Space earily in the morning and not on a full tummy :D

Thanks!

While they are both simulators, the ride mechanics are completely different, which makes it hard to compare them.

Body Wars is much harder on me than Mission SPACE is, but other people have the opposite reaction.

I agree with wdwguide that Mission: Space and Body Wars are completely different. Body Wars is (IMHO) a wilder version of Star Tours. You do not get thrown around on Mission: Space, at least not like on either Body Wars or Star Tours.
It's a excellent idea NOT to eat anything too close to riding on Mission: Space!!!!

If you're doing M:S early in the day, I'd just put off eating until you've enjoyed the attraction.

Body Wars is the only ride that's ever made me feel crummy afterwards. Based on that and reports from other guests, I took a single dose of Low Drowsiness Dramamine an hour before enjoying M:S and had no problem at all. Oddly enough, the take of was just a rush, but the landing felt a bit odd in my tummy. Even so, I had no problems at all and was glad I'd taken something beforehand.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I'd take the Dramamine again, too. The low drowsiness form worked beautifully and did not leave me feeling out of it afterwards.

We just got back from Disney today. My husband just can't do the 'spinning' rides, but he was determined to try this one! We thought not eating breakfast and going straight for the ride was the way to go, but unfortunately that didn't help much. He was cold and clammy when he got off and was feeling sick on his stomach. I did fine, by the way! Anyway, the ride is great and being the glutton for punishment as he is, we tried it again, only this time he ate breakfast and waited several hours for that to settle. He did much better the second time. That is just our experience. Everyone is different, but he found that a completely empty stomach made him feel worse. The ride is definitely worth a try. It was one of our favorites.

Has anyone had a bad reaction to dramamine? DH and I usually feel a little "woozy" after rides such as Body Wars and Star Tours, but we do want to experience Mission Space. I've been thinking maybe a dose of motion sickness medicine might be in order, but we have never taken any before. Any bad reactions out there?

LadyAurora, the regular Dramamine can make you very drowsy.

Try generic meclizine, Bonine, or non-drowsy Dramamine...all the same thing. It's a very effective motion sickness prevention medicine with almost no side effects (I get a dry mouth, that's it).

i dont care for body wars....
but i thought Mission Space was the best
have something in your stomach...not a lot
but eat before you get on in the morning...
