I love Mission Space, but my husband is not a fan of some rides (example: he gets freaked out on BTMR). I know the green side is less intense, but I have seen conflicting reports on if it spins on the centrifuge or not. Can anyone tell me how intense the green side is and does it spin? Trying to determine if my husband would be ok on this one.

Green still uses the same ride system and can be configured to spin or not spin based on capacity.
The nonspinning (Green) version doesn’t subject your body to g-forces, but it does bounce and toss you around .

If he is subject to motion sickness be warned I got just as sick on green as I did on Star Tours.

I have no idea if it spins if I had to guess I would say yes but nothing you would really notice and only during take off. Better if you can deal with a plane taking off as this in fact will have more G force you should be fine. The orange side is more intense where you will feel the G force mostly in your chest. Orange however is far less intense then the original version. Unless you have motion sickness or get it easily and don't mind tight spaces you will be fine on Green or orange add breathing issues to orange. Orange I would say if you like big roller coasters as they produce a fair amount of G force as well both negative and positive you will be fine on Orange and going to mars is far better then circling the earth. Keep your head straight if you go on orange and you would not even know it is spinning not the same as lets say Dumbo spinning.

I rode both missons last year for the first time. I was worried about riding the orange misson and my boyfriend convinced me to at least try the green misson. He really loves Misson Space and was able to help calm my nerves. In fact he convinces me to ride a ton of rides. He's good at getting me on roller coasters. lol

Anyway Green Misson is least intense. It does not spin, but the vechical you are in does move. It rocks you around kind like Star Tours. You do feel some g-force when "lifting off", but it's not so bad. I rode this version twice. The second time my boyfriend and my mom convince my mom to ride it. She is not a thrill seeker at all! And she loved it!

As for the Orange Misson, yes it is more intense. However despite the spinning I never felt it? I mean I knew were moving, but it felt like I was riding The Scambler (the typical ride you see at festivals or other amusment parks. It spins you around in a circle). I did feel the g-forces. A bit more intense than Green, but not as bad as thought it would be. My tip for anyone who wants to ride, but is afarid of getting sick. This tip can work for green too. Keep your mind busy! Don't focus on the monitor 100%. Look at the control panel and pick a nob, switch, or a button to foucs on, when you feel uncomfortable. Seeing an object on the panel can trick your brain into thinking you are stationary. This isn't a 100% cure to motion sickness. Everyone has a different levels, but I'm sure it can help for some people.

I really loved Mission Space. Whenever I go back to WDW, I will ride it again!

Green does not spin. That's what makes it less intense. It's still very claustrophobic though.

I suffer from some motion sickness, and can do Green with no problems. For example, on Star Tours I have to close my eyes briefly every so often to not get queasy. Have not tried Orange.

I definitely get sick on Star Tours. Is Millenium Falcon similar to that for motion sickness? I don't get sick on MS Orange.

My wife can ride Star Tours no problem, but Millennium Falcon is a no go for her -- gets very queasy very fast. It's a small space and you are closer to the screen. If you are an Engineer you'll be able to look away more, but not if you're a pilot (at least not without annoying the rest of your crew lol). Gunner is somewhere in the middle. She can't handle the gunner position either. So if you try it, ask to be an engineer if possible. Safest spot to test is out if you're at all unsure.

I've done both. Orange was too much, green was just boring. It's one less line to stand in for me when I visit Epcot.

Green does not spin, but is on the same centrifuge as the Orange version.
Orange spins multiple times. The Green version doesn’t spin, but during the course of the entire ride it makes one complete revolution to reset the ride.

It is really easy to not do Mission Space. 😬

Green is easy. It does not spin and any "shaking" or is minimal and it's not jerky or fast moving. It does make me a little queasy (but so does FOP, Star Tours, and even sometimes even Soarin. LOL) I go on it with my kids because they like it and sometimes I close my eyes and then I'm fine. It is a very small closed space though so if you're claustrophobic it could be an issue.
