missing June codes

Is June so overbooked at Disney? I really do not remember the last time they did not offer a code for our June trip. We had hoped to use it as a treat to us all after the year we had with Katrina and Rita and before the new season kicked into full gear.

We need to find a place either off property or look elsewhere for a vacation. They need to offer a hurricane rate or something for all of us that have need to get away, but can not afford the regular rate - Disney if you are reading - how about a hurricane code.

Yes, this has been highly discussed on the June/July/Aug code watch thread. Disney has skipped over June, sadly. Word has it that they are 92% booked already for June, so they had no reason to offer discounts. It really is a huge disappointment, thinking of all the $$ we could save, but the AAA discount helped somewhat.

And the crazy thing is, is that that many vacationers are willing to pay rack rate, me included. Just this once, just cause it's our Anniversary. I would never do this again, not without a big AP discount.

Anyway, as I said, they don't need to give codes since they are almost all booked and I don't think Disney ever gives discounts to be 'nice', only if it benefits them.

So sad!
But trying to focus on the positive. :teeth:

We are willing to pay rackrate also. I used to always pay rackrate never knowing any discounts existed. Sometimes we do get a AAA rate which is a little something. We did get AAA rate for our upcoming Poly trip but would have gone with rack had we needed to.

We were kind of stuck too. Our AP's expire in August. We have a friends wedding in August, so August was out of the picture. It made more sense for us to go in June so we would get another use out of the AP and the AP dining discount card. We booked in Febuary with the AAA rate for 11 night at POR for a total of $1600. With the assumption the AP rates were coming out.

We already had bought the SWA fare, with travel rewards miles, so our 2 RT tickets cost us a total of $10. ..so we are "entrenched" with our trip...( god willing nothing happens.)

It was disappointing there were no AP rates...but as i learned at a young age,..."nothing in life in gauranteed."

I'm one of the ones stuck at rack rate due to rescheduling! We couldn't even use AAA. This is the first time we have ever paid rack rate! I was hoping for something.
