Minor question about drinks

Hi all! I have a very silly question concerning drinks on the DDP. It states that a drink is included at TS restaurants, but the question I have is does it mean that you can order a soft drink and then also order coffee at the end of the meal? I know that at most buffets all drinks are included anyway in the price, but I am confused about how it works on the DDP, especially non-buffet restaurants. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think you can order one non-alcoholic drink and I believe a cup of coffee falls under the same category.

Most restaurants won't charge if you want to switch from soda with your meal to coffee with dessert. CRT did charge me for coffee but that was in 2005. I'm not sure but I think a few other restaurants charge, your server will let you know.

Thanks for the quick replies!! I usually drink water anyway so I'll probably just wait and get coffee. Thanks again!

Went in July and they let you switch. In fact got a fancy nonalcholic drink at le Celliers then got ice tea and coffee. Figured if I had to pay OOP for the tea it was worth it but they covered it all. Just check when they get there.

I would ask if you are not prepared to pay OOP. I have recieved coffee free with dessert along with my soft drink at some restaurants; been charged for it at others. I guess there is no across the park policy.

Thanks to all who took the time to reply. I guess, as many things Disney, it depends on the restaurant and CM, etc. I don't mind paying OOP for drinks, in fact, I'll probably order a few "fu-fu" type of drinks anyway, but as you all know, it's nice to know as much as you can beforhand.

Thanks again!!

At 'Ohana, on the DDP, we were allowed our regular drink which comes with the meal (I had iced tea, the kids had milk, DH had his usual ice water) and then we also got virgin pina coladas or strawberry daquiris too! At dessert time, our server asked if we would like coffee, but we declined. All of this was covered as part of our meal on the DDP.

Thanks Tam1067 for your input. We will be doing O'hana one night too. I am definitely ordering that colada on top of my usual sweet tea. :teeth:

I always have tea with my meal and coffee afterward. Not one restaurant charged me for an additional beverage.

Hope this helps!

:goodvibes

DH and I ordered coffee with our dessert at LeCellier after having soda with our meals and we were charged for the coffee. No big deal as i didn't even think abuout them including it. But..I would plan to pay for it then be pleasntly surprised if I didn't get a bill. This was just in July.

It differed from place to place. If it matters just ask your server so you avoid surprises!
