Minnie Marathon 2007 -- WISH Roster (see post 1 for WISH Meets Info!)

Thanks Dave for the info.

SC_pooh.....WELCOME!!!! There are a few of us bringing our daughters. Glad you could join us.

Kim

Is anyone staying at one of the values? I think I saw Kim was at ASMusic.

*If* I go, I will be at the cheapest onsite resort I can get. I was toying with the idea of booking something now, just in case I can pull this off. I just thought it would be fun to stay where everyone else is staying. Don't worry - I love alone time too. I won't follow you guys around everywhere! :rotfl:

Yup DD and I are staying at All Star Music. I think alot of people are staying at OKW, I know that isn't a value resort but not sure where it fits in moderate or deluxe. I personally like the value resorts, to me they are very disneyish. Plus I pay 20 - 25% more because of paying in Canadian dollars so values it is for me.

Kim

If I had any pts. left, I would just get a studio at OKW. I need to save all my pts. my next January, so this has to be a cash deal for me. Besides, a studio for just me would be a waste of precious DVC pts.

Lynnda and I will be there and have Billy and the new baby tagging along. Lynnda will be enjoying all the pampering while I am just doing the running and kid watching. ;) We aren't sure where we will be staying yet since I haven't started thinking that far in advance. :rolleyes1

Bill

Welcome Bill glad you and the family will be joinning us.

Joinned the gym last night and was there at 5:30AM this morning :scared1: I walked with a bit of jogging on the treadmill this morning. I did 1 hour for 5.8 miles which is 9.28 kms felt good.

How are you all doing????

14 weeks today DD and I will be on our way, we are spending the night near the airport for the early flight in on Thursday.....can't wait.

Kim

Great to see the list growing!

Kim, :scared1: 14 weeks. I guess I best get out of the Recovery mode and get myself to the gym too.

Kim -- KUDOS to you on joining the gym AND getting there at 5:30 a.m.! :worship: :woohoo: 14 weeks, huh? I have a long way to go but it definitely seems do-able!

Thanks Cam the legs are a bit sore now. I have a sit down job so every time I have to get up for something the first step or 2 are a bit stiff but nothing horrible.

Lily, I am the queen of the countdowns, I drive my family nuts We even have a paper chain that I make every time we have a vacation planned and rip a loop off every day. Crazy I know but to me have the fun of a vacation is the preparation so all in good fun.

DD and I ended up cancelling the dining portion of our trip, just too much we want to do and don't want to be kept to a time limit for ressie etc. The only place we have to go to is 50's Prime Time for lunch on May 4th. that is my DD's favorite restaurant at WDW.

How is everyone doing with the training?

For those who went last year what is the weather like in early May? I have never gone this time of year. What can we expect??

Kim

I will NOT be participating in the Minnie this year after all. Vacation plans have changed and we have opted for an Alaskan cruise instead during that time.

Best of luck to all on your Minnie training!!

Thanks Carrie:hug:

Alaskan Cruise....I am so jealous. That is my next big trip. Not sure if we are going to do it in 2008 or wait till 2009 and do a back to back with Hawaii. I absolutley love cruising. Have a awesome time.

Kim

Kim-May is hot! Especially for a Canadian ;) It's not as hot as June but still pretty hot. Wear a tank & plan on drinking lots of water!

I cant wait to see everyone.

Sara-Sorry you wont be there this year, but I know you'll have fun in Alaska.

Kristi-Register yet? We are probably staying at POR. I love that place & Anthony Travel has a great rate. Only $30 more/night than AS You dont want to miss out on JR do you? Carrie said she'd sing for you :rockband:

Tiffj, I have been in September....is it comparable??? Just want to know what I am in for. Also is May a rainy month??? Thanks....

I don't think so, but it might be a fine line for someone not from around here. Aug and Sept are my least favorite months here. It's the heart of rainy season and the humidity is palpable. May is still warm and humid, but not that life-sucking kind of humidity we get in Sept. May's not quite as rainy, but can certainly get that way.

How can I resist being serenaded by Carrie? :confused3 :scared1: :rotfl2:

If I come, I going cheap, cheap, cheap - All Stars or Pop for me. Which is perfectly fine - I love them!
Let's see...$30 savings x 3 nights = $90 for drinks at JR!!!! :drinking1
I am also keeping fingers crossed for a good AP rate too.

Seriously, I am going to wait to sign up. I doubt it will close out. We just sent in registrations for the Goofy for Chad, and for both of us for the Half in NH in April. I gotta pace myself!

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone last night with Disney getting my reservations straightened out. The original plan called for 4 nights at Pop and 4 at POR, splitting the cost with my co-worker and using her AAA discount. Since my co-worker had to bow out due to her surgery I wanted to switch the entire trip at Pop to save a few $$$. I have stayed at Pop 4 times and really like it! Now I just have to make my flight arrangements and I will be all set. Oh, and I officially registered last night, so Minnie knows that I am coming!!

We are going to have a blast!!

Pat-Yay! I love POP!

Kim-Aug & Sept are much more oppressive! It is hot & humid but not nearly as bad as Sept.

Kristi-Better use the internal bus system drinking $90 worth :dance3: This will be you;)
