Minnie Marathon 2007 -- WISH Roster (see post 1 for WISH Meets Info!)

Yay for Judy!!!

It is going to be such fun...

Wendy, sorry I've got myself set for the weekend already. Looks like a great offer and Ihope someone might be able to share with you.

I guess I've just GOT to git me a running skirt, they are cute. I'm lookin' into something.

I did notice on the site posted here for the skirt that there is a ladies version of a zebra!
:thumbsup2

YAY, Judy is coming!
Wendy, that looks like a great deal, but I've already made ressies, too. I hope you can find other WISHers to share with and you can fill us all in so we can consider it next year. Heck, the transportation alone sounds great! :)

Oh man! I convinced myself to be good and stop trying to come up with ways to do the Minnie. Now Judy is going?!

Argh!

And Wendy has a really good idea about sharing that package.

You guys are all bad influences! :upsidedow

C'mon Kristi, you know you want to. You have been at all my WISH events, you can't break the cycle now!:flower3:

OMG, I think we all need zebra skirts!!!!!
OK, skirt people (wouldn't want to check Cam's out when I roomed with ehr, that would have been too easy), teh compression shorts in them are long enough for you? I worry about chub rub with those shorter compression shorts. Opinions?

INSTIGATOR!!! ;)

I mean, like, my hubby isn't working.
And here I am scheming ways to go to WDW solo...I am just not right! :rotfl:

Zebra skirts & flourescent lime green tops! We are such fashion divas! :rotfl2:
I LOVE it! :thumbsup2
So that means you're in for our fashion reveal at the Minnie, right? :D

Having your dh off work is awful stressful Kristi. I think you need to recover at WDW. Room with Wendy, that would be economically prudent. Don't go to the parks, no tix needed, Minnie is cheap compared to the marathon..I'll think of some more justification. Sounds like you're hooked!

Carrie -- I found that the compression shorts in every running skirt or tennis skirt I tried on were too short. So, I bought the skirt, cut out the shorts (carefully) and wore my own bike shorts underneath. Unfortunately, my shorts are too big now and provide no support and the legs are loose enough that they slide up too much. I will have to figure something out for the Minnie, though if I have the severe bloating problems that I did for the full, it was kind of nice to not be in tight shorts.
So, my recommendation is to try them on. I am very short and the shorts weren't long enough for me. You may want to buy standard bike shorts to wear under the skirt.

Thanks Cam! That's what I feared. I am fully stocke don bikers/compression shorts, so I should be good to go.

You & Tiffany! INSTIGATORS!!!! ;)

And not go to the parks? :scared1:
Good thing I already have an AP, huh? :woohoo:

Seriously, I have turned back into one huge ball of stress since getting back to the real world. I didn't even realize how stressed I was, until we started the drive home & my attitude started changing on the ride home. I was fine in WDW, now I am back to being a witch. :sad2: I will need a serious girls' weekend by May!

Also, Chad has told me to go. He doesn't care (except he wants to tag along & I am trying to explain nicely that that is not allowed). It's just me feeling guilty about spending money right now.

This is the plan: eBay as much 'stuff' around here that I can & get the Minnie fund going. Keep an eye on Southwest & DING. Watch for AP room rates at a value (we already borrowed all our 2007 DVC pts. for the marathon). I would even sacrifice a car rental & deal with ME (I am a car-snob - I *need* one at WDW).

One little problem might be work. We are absolutely not supposed to take time off during the may ratings book. My supervisor let me fudge it last year. On my time sheet it looked like I worked the Friday & Monday of Minnie weekend. In reality I was not there. Then in June I was mysteriously working when I had two vacation days on my time sheet. :confused3

So, I guess I shall be on the list as tentative...

How did everyone get there in 2006? Did anyone take a cab?

Let me edit this to say how did everyone get to the 15K race start? I seem to recall mention of getting a cab back in the Spring but now can't remember. Was there any problems getting cabs to the 15K start? I know Disney isn't doing transporation from the resorts unless you do that Anthony Travel package. Just trying to piece this whole plan together as I slowly spring it on DH that I NEED to go ;)

Thanks!!!!

From what I understand and I am only a newbie the only transportation disney provides is from the host hotel which is AKL. Also from what I have read on the boards people try to car pool. Not sure how the cab situation worked out, hopefully someone else can answer that question for you. Check the first post, there is a list of people and if they will have access to a car.

Hope you call all make it.

Kim

Last year I took ME to the resort & then we rented a car for 2 days & picked it up from Swan/Dolphin. That is probably what I will do this year.

Kristi-I knew I liked Chad! You should listen to your smart DH. If it will get you there I will pick you up race morning:cutie: Have you checked anthonytravel.com they have a good rate for one of the All-stars.

Hey, everyone! Check the first post and make sure I've got you there and that your information is correct. Isn't this fun?
