Minnie Marathon 2007 -- WISH Roster (see post 1 for WISH Meets Info!)

Cool! I'm in Haddon Twp. not very far from you at all. Maybe I'll see you around at local events or something. If not, then definitely at Minnie and Goofy. How are the girls doing for training? Mine will probaby be joining spring track for a more organized training.

Yeah we are practically neighbors!!! As far as training goes, I haven't started yet, I am out of work right now because I hurt my back and I was having some tests done to see what is going on so I wanted to wait, but I think I am going to start training as of Feb 1st. I cannot believe it is only tree months away...I can't wait!!!

Good Afternoon Team!!!!

Not sure if I posted it here or not but got a treadmill, so the training will pick up. I am also going to throw in some strenght training, not alot just need alot of toning.

We are at Disney from May 3 - 7th but my flight leaves around 7 or 8AM can't remember on the 7th. I am so excited, I haven't been to the disney parks since Oct 05......I was at Disney in Oct 06 but just to DTD before our cruise.

What days are you going down for the Minnie?? And what airline are you flying...I haven't gotten airfare yet cause I am waiting for a sale, but I guess I better do something soon!!! We will be there 5/3-5/6.

I've already booked Southwest (5/4-5/8). I "luv" SW and have never had an issues with them. It looks like they're wide open for 5/3 and you may be able to get a good DING! fare, but 5/6 looks booked solid. Keep in mind that you are able to use different carriers for different legs. When my cousin flew to WDW last year, she used SWA down and Airtran back because of pricing and flight availability. Since I fly only SWA, I am not familiar with other airlines. I can say I WILL NOT use USAirways because of poor customer service experiences.

I am flying in on S/W as well, I love them. Great prices and great service.

I have just been reading the trip reports from last years Minnie and it just makes me want to get there faster. Glad to see Grad Nights won't be that weekend so the parks won't close early.

DD is snowboarding today so she considers that cross training....

I hope my treadmill comes today, i want to start my program tomorrow. Fingers are crossed.

I think that Sunday night is EMH at MK, so they would be open until 1AM. At least I copied that down from somewhere!

Yaaaa I love MK, DD and I will have to be up early to be at the airport Monday morning, our flight leaves at 7 something...can't remember.

MK till 1, sleep till 4, airport by 5....all is good, thank goodness I booked Magical Express.. Get on the plane and sleep for 2 hours till I get home. It can work....

Well darn! It would have been midnight, but I thought I checked AllEars! I will have to go back and find the correct info!! It can make a difference!

Anyway, I land in Orlando Friday the 4th at 10:30AM I will be heading to Pop and then free for the rest of the day. I thought I'd head to the Expo, but will there be bus transportation? Or will I have to take a cab? Anybody know??

DD28 will be flying in very very late on Friday. I will be by myself for the day, so if anyone is free let me know.

I just need to get back into shape. Can someone explain why just a few weeks ago I walked/wogged for 7 hrs in the heat and did ok, and now I am struggling to do 30 min on the TM? Ugh!

Hi Pat,

DD and I will be roaming the parks, I think MGM for part of Friday then maybe back to MK.

I know it was suggested not to do the parks with doing the 15K but I can't go all that way and not do the parks so DD and I have 4 day hoppers and will be all over the place.

I really like POP but DD wants to stay at Music, only value we haven't been to.

Yipeee, treadmill is in, set up tonight and go at it tomorrow.

Hey Carrie!

Where are you looking for park hours? I checked the official Disney site and the Disboards info for May 6 and both have MK open from 9AM-9PM, with that being an EMH evening (meaning an additional 3 hrs for resort guests).

Monday is evening EMH for MGM and it's Weds for EMH for AK. I don't bother with the morning EMH!! I like the parks better at night when they are all lit up and sparkly!!

Yes! I liked the Minnie (and RFTT) course much better than the half. The whole MGM to EPCOT to finish is really cool!

Pat - I had a car last year. But if memory serves, you can bus to MGM, then switch to a bus for WWOS. Kind of a pain, but doable.

And if I am there (keeping fingers crossed I can sell a ton of 'stuff' on eBay really soon), I'll drive you over! I cannot live at WDW without a car. I am spoiled like that.
