Minneapolis weather right now???

Is there anyone up so they can tell me their weather? We are trying to decide if we should make the 3 hour drive from WI to go to the Viking game. Thanks!!

I don't live there but I'm watching the weather channel right now and they are showing it snowing in Maple Grove. Plus you know if they have a live remote from an area that they are expecting something to talk about. Looks like all of Minnesota has snow forecast according to the map.

It is snowing like crazy! I haven't been outside, so I can't tell you how the roads are. But, it is only supposed to get worse, from what I hear. I would play it safe....

It's snowing right now. But I am listening to 830 and they are expecting it to get worse. In fact the intensity has risen in the past hour here - I am in the northern suburbs. Heavier snow - sometimes as much as 1 inch an hour - and the winds are expected to be near blizzard conditions later today - that's 35 MPH or more.

I don't know when the game is, and while I know you want to get to the game, I'd call the Highway Hotline for Wisconsin and MN and see how the plows are doing on your route to MN. I know they both have 1-800 numbers and they are listed at http://www.kare11.com
