What is EOS? Where is everyone talking about meeting?

EoS = Earl of Sandwich, a place to eat at Downtown Disney. We met there for the last Minnie on Saturday.

That sounds like a great idea to me!! I was a little hesitant about taking a cab by myself since I don't want to drag my fiance with me so early in the morning.

i have to admit don't have any idea about cab companies so if anyone could give us a heads up nearer the time that would be great. You never know there maybe a whole group of us POFQ's by then.

EOS sounds great to me too. What sort of time did you guys meet up last time? Just so i can have an idea of what to plan to do that day! Oh i'm getting excited

Hi everyone! I see lots of "friends" names here.. LOL

I am doing the 5k race (my first) with my mom (barbara) and my Sister is doing the 15k (geminibl) -- we are staying at POR - since there are 5 of us (my MIL and my DD ) are coming too..

I would appreciate any info - as i am a total newbie with this, it is my first ever run!!! (gulp!)

I am assuming the best way for me to get to Epcot starting point the a.m. of the race is via cab? What time do we actually have to be there?

Hey Stacey! The shirt orders have already been placed, but keep an eye on the below thread. It's a cool company because we can order individually and not have to wait for a group order. They are working on our logo right now. I plan to order from them too... The shrits are so cute!

I vote for EOS. The fact that it is so close to Ghiradelli has nothing to do with that vote though, I swear.

I just wanted to pop in and say how excited I am that minnie is now only a little over 2 months away!! (I leave 2 months from tomorrow!) I have been such a slacker since the marathon in jan and I am finally getting back into my groove.

Hoping I can make the meet at EOS this year! Anyone else staying at BWV that wants to share a cab??

Ya sure!!! LOL EOS is fine by me though! We are at POR so i can just take the boat over!

You know, much as EOS, I just looked at the list and between both races, we have 80 people. I worry that EOS would just not be large enough to contain our mirth, and any other people who might happen to be there.

Maybe the food court at PORS or POFQ would be a better bet? More difficult to get to via Disney transport, obviously, but I was thinking that maybe a resort food court would be a less busy place to meet up with a larger group. It does look like it has the potential to be a LOT bigger than last year.

15K=9.3 miles

Not sure about the last year thing. They said the same thing last year but here we are again. The original rumor was this year's race would be a Princess themed half...I think that's still what's floating around for the future. Whatever they decide, I hope they keep a spring race on the calendar.

I was thinking of POR also for the meet. I think we overflowed the outdoor section of EOS last year, but we got a great photo! POR can be accessed via WDW transport at any park or DTD. I know there's a lot of folks staying at OKW which is right around the corner for folks with their own transportation.

Maybe we could run our own OKW-POR shuttle that afternoon. I wonder if a lot of people would be coming from a park anyhow at that time of day?

Did they seriously say last year would be the last year? Maybe it's a registration-enhancement gimmick? It seems like registration is up around these here parts, anyhow!

Guys, just keep in mind - some may know, some may not - that Expedition PINS is going on that Sat. too - and the hotel of their choice is CSR -- so whatever we decide, i would stay away from suggesting that hotel.. (other than to stay at), They are doing a large pin trading thing there all day at CSR.

I'm new to the team this year too, and the Minnie is my first race. As it's getting closer, I'm getting really excited but also a little nervous.
I thought the race started at AK.
I'm staying at AKV and luckily my DH is a morning person (unlike me) so he doesn't mind being up to drive me to the starting point. I just need to know where that point is.

If anyone needs a ride from AKV, let me know. We'll have a rental car and I'm sure we could fit in 2-3 WISHers.
