Anyone finding a rate on a minivan for less than $40/day? If so, where??? I think I have tried every discount code I can find!

Keep checking National. Right now, my ressie is for $256.99 for 7 days in August (total reservation using Priceless Code-6600330 & Entertainment $20 off coupon-10009123 is $301.41). That includes and extra day $57.11 because we're taking a later flight back on our return.

Keep checking National because I'm looking for this to go lower closer to my trip dates.

Try Thrifty. 14 days $405 including all taxes and fees. (about $28 per day) Used the 10% discount on Mousesavers for this price

Oops, sorry forgot to add this was end of July thru early August.

I did dollar with the BJ discount for 13 days and am at $502, but I'm going to try for thrifty with iamsorcerermickey mousesaver code. I just got the latest newsletter today.

It was $600 for me for my August trip, I'm sticking with Dollar at this point.

try booking it through thrifty. i just booked a midsize car for $90 through them for 5 days. the rates were ALOT cheaper and they are right at the terminal.

Thrifty is located off-site. You must take a shuttle from the airport to their facility. The shuttle can be picked up on the lower level outside the rental car desks. It runs frequently and is only about a 5 minute ride. Thrifty sometimes offers very good rates on their cars and I have used them in the past with no problems. Use the WMRT code for an additional 10% off.

I'm not sure if you've signed up for the e-mail specials from Budget, but they often run a $199 minivan special for web subscribers. Just this morning they sent a $199 SUV special out ($420 off reg rates) and it is usually followed by a minivan special...

I just reserved a mini van through Thrifty for $192 for a week (includes all tax and surccharges). I used a code from mousesavers but even without the code it would have only been $210/week. Our reservation is 10/3-10/9. Good luck! When I first started searching I wasn't finding much under $300 but Thrifty came through!

I booked on-line a van at ez rent a car for the last 2 weeks in Sept. The rate was $28.70/day and $200.94 for the week. The total for the 2 weeks was $525.-this includes taxes and surcharges They advertised a Chevy Astro van.

Rate is one of the best I have found, They are affialted with L& M rental which is in the airport. They cost in the airport is about $125 more from what I remember, so we don't mind taking a shuttle to get a rental if it saves us that much more money. :cool1: They are located away from the airport so you will have to take a shuttle.

Got this company from the unofficial guide book. Has anyone tried them?

We will be there in 73 days and counting :hourglass

I have a minivan reserved through Thrifty in mid October. $290 for 10 days and that includes taxes.

The price info I gave was for an 8 passenger mini van.

Can anyone tell me if the prices for the others mentioned (Budget, Thriifty, Alamo) are for a 6 or 8 passenger van?

There will be 6 of us flying to WDW from out of town, but we will be visiting family in the area, so we wanted to get something large enough for our needs.

Besides, when you add on luggage for 6 then that makes for a pretty crowed van with 6 people.

How does the 6 passenger van fit with 6 people and their luggage????????

Any one else with experiences and size info? Please share. :confused3

This may not help if you have to have a minivan but I rented a full size through National for the last week of June/first of July and we were told to go to Emerald Aisle to pick out our car.(we're emerald club members) It was FILLEd with minivans, all brand new. The rate for the week was $110 w/priceline and entertainment coupon.

We just got back last night & also rented from National using the Emerald Aisle. We picked a brand new Grand Caravan and had it for 10 days for a grand total of $156.00.

I signed up for the Emerald Aisle using the code for free membership on Mousesavers and used the Entertainmemt coupon. When we got to the garage at MCO, we had our choice of every kind of vehicle..........minivans, PT Cruisers, SUVs, sedans, hatchbacks, you name it! We took the Grand Caravan (over DD & DS's objections) because that's what I drive at home & was familiar with it.

If you want to take the chance when you arrive, this might be the way to go.

I allways end up getting in a fight with DM about Emeralds Asle selection. I choose a NICE LOOKING Black on Black Leather G6 with Chrome Wheels and a Sunroof :smooth: , and she made us get a standard silver G6 :sad2: Either way though, we loved the G6.
