Did any of you see the special on Disney lastnight, on the Food Network? They showed these adorable miniature wedding cakes! How can I order them ?
I would like to have one for our Anniversary!

Thanks if anyone knows. :groom: :bride:

(I posted this out on the wedding board too)

I think the only way to get one is through the Grand Floridian Bakery. I know they will serve them in any of the GF restaurants but if you want one to go you have to pick it up I think. And I think the only mini one they sell that way is the one with the castle(but boy that is cute!!) I don't have the number but search Grand Floridian bakery on here- the number was posted by someone and I think they even had a picture.

I have seen pictures of a variety of miniture wedding cakes offered to brides and grooms for their wedding receptions. They are very cute and can get pricey, some that I saw were in the $25 ea price range. However, the selection might vary for those not having them at a wedding reception. I'm sure that someone on the wedding board will have a more consice answer for you.

My friend ordered 4 cakes from the Grand Floridian bakery on our trip immediately after seeing the wedding special. Three were white cake, one was cheesecake, and all were topped with white chocolate castles (I don't know if she had a choice about that). We did have to pick them up at the GF front desk since we weren't eating at any of their restaurants. We had many people on the monrail willing to share our cakes on our way back to BC.

The cakes were $25 each and were delicious.

Thank you to all who replied!

I am going to order one for us to share, for our Anniversary.

I'm so excited!

Thanks again,
Julie

My DH ordered one for me for a surprise private dining dinner at the Grand Floridian. This one was the cheesecake and it was divine. The white chocolate castle made it home to Wisconsin in one piece, too.

The mini wedding cakes are adorable - they are bigger than they look. I was thinking like cupcake size, but if you've had a full meal, I think 2 could share the mini cake. The Grand Floridian Bakery can also create other sizes and types of cakes - lots of choices. I don't think that you have to eat at a GF restaurant - I know friends who've had luck picking up their cake at the GF and taking it to their reservation at another restaurant. They make lots of fabulous signature desserts at the GF bakery - I think the pastry chefs enjoy making special things.
