Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I hope everything is okay with Bella  I haven't been on facebook or the DIS much this week so I just saw that now.

I've had such a weird week. I haven't been sleeping much since school ended which is very unusual for me. I think I'm probably just stressed because of everything going on with my grandma and because my mom is stressed. I got up at 10:00 this morning(I'm a teenager :rolleyes1) and then fell back asleep on the couch for two hours :rotfl:

I babysat Kazin for three hours on Saturday while Josh went Christmas shopping. That was an interesting experience  It had been about a year since the last time I babysat him. He was pretty good, but REALLY hyper. It's fun having conversations with him though. "Where did my daddy go?" "He went to help Santa!" "At the North pole?!" "Yeah!" "Santa's gonna bring me presents?" "Yup, Santa brings presents to every little kid!" "All the little boys?" "And the little girls." He's so cute :lovestruc I can't believe he'll be 3 next month

"We should not assume we have a lot of tomorrows to get things done. Maybe we don't. We can't wait until we know our days are short in number before we can rush and do good things for others. We need to start that now. One day, we will be a memory. What kind of memory will we be for those around us?"

PERFECTLY SAID Memom! Especially at this time of the year, we need to remember this! It can be hard at times... especially when teenage kids and crazy Christmas shoppers are driving us crazy! Thank you for reminding us all! And once again, we need lots of group hugs! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Good thoughts for Bella. Hope all the reports come back positive!

AND.... have a wonderful time in WDW!!!!! You need to take time for yourself so that you can regroup and come back to all of the real life stresses! RELAX and ENJOY!

Just in case I don't have time before you leave...
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! You are going to be in WDW!:cool1::cool1:

Big hugs for all of you and Joan's family right now.

Thank you very much.

I hope Bella's tests come back well!! Also sending lots of good vibes to all of you and your Aunt Joan.

Thanks. We have full confidence that Bella's stuff will be fine. We are very sad about Joan's diagnosis, but we know God has it in His hands.

MeMom and family,

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic trip!

Good thoughts sent for everyone.

Merry Christmas to you and Ma and Declan! Congratulations on your new little family member, too. There will be a lot of extra smiles for you guys this year.

I hope all is well with Bella. How scary it must have been for Jill. I will pray for great test results and will continue to pray for Aunt Joan.

I cannot believe your trip is so close. The weather is looking good for the next week.

The last 10 day forecast I checked looked very good. :cool2:

I have faith that it will!

I love the whole Boardwalk area. We went there for the first time in November and I fell in love. It's neat seeing pictures now that I have been b/c I finally know what I'm looking at! I'd love to stay at ANY of the resorts over there. It's like a vacation within a vacation there.

Please let us know how things turned out with Bella's tests. I'm sure she's is perfectly fine though. She's a very happy, healthy little girl.

If I don't get back here before you leave, I hope you guys have a safe and fabulous trip. And Merry Christmas to you and all your family! :santa:

Yes, once you have been to a place, you can really be there again through pictures - you can smell the smells and hear the sounds of the water and the boat whistles and the music. That's why I want to visit every inch of Disney World, so I can experience it all.

Merry Christmas to you guys, as well! I have my Castaway Cay treasure on a shelf in my bedroom. :santa:

here I sit as I have cleaned off most of my desk at work. I can see the actual top pf the desk and the stack that remains just needs to be filed.

I am nothing pressing on my adgenda until Tuesday where I have to do the final preparations for the next session of lessons/classes that will begin while I am away.

The second cloudy/rainy day for us here, so catching up here is my plan.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Joan and I hope she has some time without much pain and she can be as comfortable as possible.

Great news that Bella did well and hopefully the test will be all be normal and that episode was just a blip.

I can't wait to see everyone again and enjoy ringing in a new year. This year as most have been filled with lots of ups and downs but I am looking forward to a new year and forging ahead.

It's been a rainy, cool day here, too. I will be lad to trade in the barren trees and gray sky for palm fronds and sunshine! :cool1:

The new year is yours to begin just that - all things new. :thumbsup2

They put a port in so that Joan can have meds or chemo, whichever way she chooses to go. She is not strong enough to handle chemo right now, though, so that option is not a factor.

Hugs for you all! I know that everyone will need strength to get through these hard times.

I really think the Yacht Club has a warm feel, maybe a little stuffy but cozy all the same. I like Mickey in the boat! You should see it dressed up for Christmas!
We hung out with Cheena, Ed and the kids one Christmas day there, good times were had!

I really want to get a tree picture there, so I am hoping we will go by the Boardwalk one evening so I can get Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club. Jill likes to go to the Boardwalk, anyway, so it should work. I will also try to remember to get the Mickey in the boat picture.

I am still praying for sweet little Bella. If you get a chance to head to WL can you throw some more quarters in for me please?

We will be going to Wilderness Lodge. A Christmas trip requires a trip to that place.

I hope everything is okay with Bella I haven't been on facebook or the DIS much this week so I just saw that now.

I'm sure Kazin is good for some really fun conversations.

I haven't been sleeping late, but it has sure been nice to just lay around for a while before getting up and going. I could get really spoiled to this!

Especially at this time of the year, we need to remember this! It can be hard at times... especially when teenage kids and crazy Christmas shoppers are driving us crazy! Thank you for reminding us all! And once again, we need lots of group hugs! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! You are going to be in WDW!:cool1:

I know that when we get there, I will be caught up in the magic. Right now, it's a little hard to think past what is going on here. I think our friend, Mike, is in really, really bad shape right now. :sad1:

I wanted to share this Christmas video that was posted on the Disney Parks Blog today! I love it :goodvibes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXtkhXb9HpA

I went right away and put that on my FB page. Thanks for sharing that! :woohoo:

Sending prayers for Joan and her family during this difficult time for them!!! I also will be saying prayers for you during this time too!!

Glad everything went well with Bella's hospital visit!! Praying it turns out to be nothing!!!

3 more sleeps!!!!!! I bet you can't wait!!

If the weather stays the way it was today it will be beautiful!! We drove down to Ocala today and I was tempted to keep going ;)

MeMom, I'm so sorry to hear about everything that has been happening. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

You are so right though. We have no idea when anything can happen to us, and we really need to consider the memories we leave behind.

My prayers are with Joan and her family. I know it is such a hard time. I have mixed emotions about Christmas too. I am excited to see the boys and enjoy time with family, but there is sadness too. I took flowers to my brother's grave this last weekend. Many tears were shed. It seems so unfair that he will not be here. I still almost add him to my Christmas list. As you know, my father looks worse all the time. I know from being a doctor that death is nearing for him. It is sad, but I am trying to focus on spending as much time with him as possible. I did not get to tell my brother I loved him before he died. I am not making the same mistake with my Dad.
Hang in there everyone and remember the good things about Christmas. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Y'all are in for quite the weather while you're here. It was 82 degrees today!!!! The news said we're hitting record highs. I keep forgetting it is only 2.5 days 'til Christmas.

You have so many wise words MeMom. Bless you and your family this Christmas!! I feel like such a lucky person to "know" you through this wonderful thing that is the DIS! This will be a bittersweet Christmas for our family too, and your words here have really helped put things in good perspective, so I wanted to say thank you.

I hope you have a great holiday and a magical trip to WDW!!:santa:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

So sorry for everything you guys are going through, especially at this time.

Since the preschool is only open three days next week and my semester is officially over, I am not needed next week, and will be on vacation shortly after, so today was my last day in the classroom till after my trip. It will be a nice break, but I will miss those kids! I got the sweetest card and an ornament with an "M" in the front and "Love, A" in the back from one of the girls in the class whose mom is one of the infant teachers. I told A it was going right on my tree. :goodvibes

Just three more sleeps for you guys, huh? We are at 13 days right now (almost 12)...it feels surreal! Like I know we're going, but it hasn't really hit me that we are going so soon. Also, I PMed with Lana and Katie so I have a couple of fun DIS meets in the making, too!

I know I already posted on fb but I am so happy that everything went well with Bella! As for Joan, I am so sorry to hear the continuing sad news, and I continue to pray every night for her and for all others hurting right now. I hope you have an AMAZING trip and Christmas and I cannot wait to see all of the lovely photos of your precious little girls :) Have a great Christmas eve eve!

I have checked the weather too and I am now liking what I see.

I wanted to wish everyone here a

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

First, I am so sorry to hear about Joan. I will be praying for comfort for her and for all of her loved ones as you all go through this. Also, prayers for Mike, and all of those missing loved ones especially this time of year.

I saw Jill's posts on facebook while I was away, but I wasn't sure what was going on and I didn't want to post until I knew. I hope she has results by tomorrow (end of week). Prayers that the news is good.

I hope you get to do at least 200 of the 411 items you have planned for this trip! As always, I know you'll have a wonderful time. Let's see important info to know. Princesses are sitting on the right side in the parade (when facing the castle);

I stood at the hub on the side of Crystal Place (but up across from the partner's statue) and a giant tree blocked the Wishes Holiday fireworks. So, stand in the middle or on the right side of the castle. (You probably know all of this...) :wizard:

Sunshines Seasons had a guava cupcake - don't remember it from last trip - YUM, YUM, YUM.

:santa:Merry Christmas and safe travels!

3 more sleeps!!!!!! I bet you can't wait!!

This morning it finally hit home. Since I will be leaving to go to Jill's in the morning, this is my last sleep here. That means I really have to get things in gear!

Bella's visit went very quickly, and she did very well. It helped that she didn't have to be taken away anywhere by herself. I was concerned about that, because I knew she would not be happy about something like that.

Thank you for your sweet thoughts and prayers.

If the weather stays the way it was today it will be beautiful!! We drove down to Ocala today and I was tempted to keep going ;)

The ten day forecast is looking nice. The older I get, the more I understand why retired northerners fly south for the winter. I dread January and February temperatures ahead.

MeMom, I'm so sorry to hear about everything that has been happening. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

You are so right though. We have no idea when anything can happen to us, and we really need to consider the memories we leave behind.

We want to be remembered in good ways. :)

We are so sorry for your sadness. I hope your family time in Disney World gives you a lot of smiles and laughter to offset your tears. :flower3:

The forecast is looking very nice. I love it when it is in the 70's, and that's what it will be for most of our stay! :cool1:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

You are welcome. We do have to keep things in perspective. One bad thing, even if it is very painful, cannot override all the good things we have. One good thing, even if it is very good, cannot override us staying focused and humble, either, so we should get so caught up in good things that we don't stay grounded. Does that make sense?

I am glad we have so may sweet DIS friends, too. I am going to go meet two of them for lunch today. :thumbsup2

Jill will start the FB pictures probably from the airport. Christmas afternoon, you'll probably see a palm tree picture. :thumbsup2

I have checked the weather too and I am now liking what I see.

I wanted to wish everyone here a

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

See ya real soon! :santa:

Merry Christmas and have fun in Alabama! Have a great NYE trip and enjoy all of the DIS meets.:dance3:

Will do - on all counts. ::yes::

Sunshines Seasons had a guava cupcake - don't remember it from last trip - YUM, YUM, YUM.

:santa:Merry Christmas and safe travels!

I have never ever ever had a guava cupcake, so I might just add that to my list of never ever ever eaten in Disney World foods. :thumbsup2 If we eat at Sunshine Seasons, and I feel fairly sure we will, I am returning to my rotisserie chicken since they messed with my cashew chicken noodles. I was not happy with the yucky noodles they gave me last time, so I shall be returning to that delicious rotisserie chicken this time. :goodvibes

I could go through the whole trip doing very little riding and be very happy. There are so many other things I enjoy doing. As long as the girls get to do their favorite things and the big people get to do a few of their favorite things, I am happy just being there.

***************************************

I am excited about having lunch with Dawn and Seth and Erica and Will today. I'll be back with pictures later. Have a great day, friends!

So glad you all get to eat lunch together today!! That is great. Looking forward to your pictures. I will be looking out for the palm tree picture on Christmas day also. That will really get me excited about our trip. Cooper is having a hard time grasping that he will be having Christmas and Disneyworld before he goes back to school.
I think my elf this year backfired. The boys have not been extremely excited about Santa this year. I keep asking them why and I think that they are going to miss Harry the elf. Cooper keeps saying he wish Harry did not have to go and he wanted to wrap Harry a present this morning. I hope they do not hold it against Santa too much.;)

Hello MeMom! Sorry I haven't been commenting in awhile. School has not taken kindly to allowing me some DIStime, so I had to wait until vacation to finally comment and I guess this TR is sort of over... too bad I never got to comment more :( Oh well...

I just wanted to take this time since from what I've read you have a few vacations planned over the next week or so. So I just wanted to wish you and your family a VERY Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! :teeth:

Have a lovely Dis meet at lunch today. You must be getting really excited about your upcoming trip, although i understand that your mind will still be on your Aunt Joan and her family. I truly hope she manages to spend some good quality time with her loved ones, and any pain she experiences is controllable. Have a safe journey to Jills in the morning.
