Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

The little clip of Bella speaking was so sweet. They grow up so fast though don't they. brooklyn looked lovely in her ballet outfit. Proper little Princess.

I love the video. I watched it 4 or 5 times. I think the cloud looks like a Mickey hat too.

Yes, I will be posting pics on facebook. I am really excited, but I do not like flying so I have already started to panic. I am having a hard time sleeping and have a constant anxious feeling for no reason. :sad2: It will be here before I know it. I am going shopping tonight for last minute things, Winnie the Pooh tomorrow, Dollywood Splash Country Saturday, Harry Potter Sunday and I work Monday and we leave for our friends' house in Lexington, KY Monday night.
We are leaving from there early Tuesday morning. I am tired just writing my plans.:rotfl: We will have fun. It has been several years since we have been to Hawaii and I look forward to going back. I am all about nature this trip. We will be doing a lot of hiking and exploring. I will try to text you some pics I think you will enjoy.

So glad our favorite high school grad soon to be college girl is here. :)

Aww, I'm glad to be here :thumbsup2

I need all of my DIS friends to keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers. She's going in for major surgery tomorrow morning. We found out a few weeks ago that she has endometrial cancer, so she has to have a hysterectomy. Her doctor said that she'll be fine, and the surgery should take care of it. She'll be in the hospital until Sunday or Monday, and then she'll be home from work for about 6 weeks. I also have my college orientation tomorrow, which is really bad timing but there's nothing I can do about it. Luckily my school is 10 minutes from the hospital, so I can drop her off and then go to orientation, and then go back to visit after. I'll keep you updated as much as I can tomorrow!

Your family is adorable! My kids wish everyday was spent in Disney! I am happy to see another mom dress her children "matchy matchy"!! Sometimes I feel like I am the only crazy one, lol!

I love your Florida welcome sign Memom. We drove for the first time as our own little family last year and I was sooo excited to make it to the florida welcome station. I remembered the juice with fond memories from childhood trips! I am hoping for a much better florida welcome this upcoming trip because that past one did not go quite as planned for us.
We ended up Stuck in the parking lot, we snapped a belt and the airconditioner compressor seized, we ended up with a tow truck ride the rest of the way. Dh, me, ds 3, dd 20 months and dbd 10 weeks, lol. I could have cried, well, maybe I did, right there at the welcome station, in my orange juice. You can imagine the ride in style we had as we pull up to the CBR in our beautiful flatbed tow truck and another family was getting out of a limo....Good times, Good times!:rotfl::rotfl: That is a memory I will never forget!

I am looking forward to this trip reprt! IT will get me through the 70 days left until we head out on the road to enjoy our disney trip! Thanks so much for posting!

If I could I would have a 'Mingo' in my backyard...they are so pretty to watch!

I hope there are more Bella videos to come...cause she is so cute! :)

I think we will fly from Syracuse NY (cheaper) and a direct flight is about 2 to 3 hrs. :woohoo:
One stop flights that I have been looking at are about 5hrs.
The one that is the most apealing leaves at 6am and arrives at 11am.

Even with the short 3 hr drive to Syracuse, flying sounds soooo much better than looking at a 24hr drive.
That's not including our overnight stay in a hotel somewhere in the Carolinas.

I havn't flown down to Florida since I was about 15yrs old.
I bet the airport has changed alot.

Nicole786 I want to give you a hug.
I'm so sorry for your loss of a loved one. (For a minute I was worried it was David).
I'm glad you are back and have some trips in the works.
I always looked forward to your creative tees. Are you making some for the little girl?
Take Care, Lana

Our guys shake their heads at us
(they look like this :sad2:, only they're not round or blue)
when we come up with some Disney reference in every situation.

:rotfl: That reminds me, Charles and I went to the aquarium today, and there is a window where you can check out the care unit. There was a surgery going on today on something (not sure what since it was all covered up), and my first thought was, "this is kinda like Rafiki's Planet Watch." I kept that to myself, though, because I KNEW I would get that look from Charles!

I'm late, I'm late
for a very important date. :yay:

I am so very far behind and am glad I saw the link to this new beauty of a TR. I've been working my tail off in real life, dealing with stresses of different sorts and then in a Disney depression after realizing we can't take an October trip. Yes, I did pout and cry. :sad2:

But I decided a 13th Birthday Trip for Morghan in May 2012 will be lots of fun so we are rescheduling. And I missed my Dis friends like crazy so here I am!

Tonight I plan to get all caught up. It looks great so far! :goodvibes

Jeesh! Lose internet for a few days and get 10 pages behind :sad2:

Sounds like departure went smoothly!

 Your in all my family's prayers. I know exactly what your going through. Two years ago my sister had brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. By the grace of God the surgeon removed 99% of the tumor and DSis is cancer free. I wish whatever angel was watching over my sister in the OR will watch over your mom :littleangel:

Believe it or not, we had a Disney Loving Tom with us this trip! It was wonderful! He was even seeing Mickey's along the way. Luckily they weren't in the clouds as he was driving during the day!

Hope to get my trip started today! I have been sick and found out yesterday I have pink eye in BOTH eyes! :scared1: Feeling much better today.

You've converted the whole family! Yay! :dance3:
You know you're going to end up with some major DVC points pretty soon, right? ;)

Hope those pink eyes clear up quickly.

Signing in I know late but glad to read another Memom and Jill report!!!! Now going to back to start it just jumped ahead to say I am on board! :cool1:

Glad to have you on board. :thumbsup2

Love the video.

I just showed it to Trent. He shook his head and laughed at his littlest rat.

The little clip of Bella speaking was so sweet. They grow up so fast though don't they. brooklyn looked lovely in her ballet outfit. Proper little Princess.

They do. Brooklynn is about to be five. Ten will come in the blink of an eye, and fifteen will trail right behind it. Makes us treasure every day, doesn't it?

I love the video. I watched it 4 or 5 times. I think the cloud looks like a Mickey hat too.

Could you hear her say mingo right when she saw them? It was pretty soft, and then she belted out the rest of it.

I know it is so beautiful over there. Just looking at pictures of the flowers and the beaches in pictures is breathtaking, but to see it in person has to be incredible.

You sure did schedule a lot of things to do right before leaving!

Tink9721 - we will all have you close in thought and prayer. Thank heavens there are smart doctors out there who know just what to do! I am glad for people who are so much smarter than I could ever dream of being who know just how to fix people up. I have faith that your mom will be up and running quickly.

Let us know how your orientation goes, too. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

PirateLass - Good to hear the positive outcome for your sister. A cousin of mine had brain surgery for a tumor when he was two. He's now about 25.

Trent teases Jill about the matching clothes. He knows why she does it in WDW - in case one gets lost she doesn't have to think about what she was wearing - but he still agrravates her about it.

Too funny about being towed in to CBR!

We'll certainly try to help you through these 70 days. :goodvibes

Have you ever watched the mingos over at Animal Kingdom Lodge? They are fun to watch, but they can get loud. And sometimes they slap the crud out of each other banging heads. I mean they smack hard!

If you get to MCO at 11, you'll still have a lot of Disney day left. We like the early flights. We get down there, get some lunch in the food court and take it out by the kiddie pool and let the girls run around. It's so nice finally being there and sitting under those palm trees in the breeze.

MCO is a very pretty airport, by the way.

Disney references today:
While I was running, a neighbor walked by with her Tinker Bell shirt on.
Disney reference on the radio while driving into work.
On the field trip to the roller rink, 2 Disney songs, Hawaiian Rollercoaster ride and a song from Tarzan.

Another Disney reference on the drive home- the afternoon drive team on
the radio has a Disneyphile so it does come up often.

Thank you from both of us! We really appreciate all of the support. I love my DIS friends :grouphug:

MeMom, I'll text you tomorrow and let you know how the surgery goes. I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to get on the DIS. Probably tomorrow night or some time on Saturday.

My mom said the only good thing about this is that she gets to spend 6 weeks at home with me :) It's a good thing this is happening during the summer because my mom's gonna need me at home, especially the first couple weeks. She should be fine by the time school starts.

Orientation definitely isn't where I want to be tomorrow, but there's nothing I can do about it. I signed up for that day before I even knew about the surgery. I'll do my best to enjoy it. I have to pick my classes tomorrow too and my mom's looking forward to hearing about it when I go visit. There wouldn't be anything I could do if I was at the hospital anyway, but I'd just feel better if I was there. The hospital is supposed to call my cell phone and leave me a message after the surgery, so I'll check that during lunch or whenever I get a chance.

PirateLass, I'm so glad your sister is healthy! :) This is something we've had to deal with a lot. We lost my aunt to cancer last year, after she had already survived lung cancer once and breast cancer twice. My grandma is a breast cancer survivor. My mom is also a breast cancer survivor. She had it about 6 years ago, and the doctor thinks that the cause of the endometrial cancer was the antibiotics she had to take to prevent the breast cancer from coming back :sad2:

Thank you all again for your support!

PirateLass - Good to hear the positive outcome for your sister. A cousin of mine had brain surgery for a tumor when he was two. He's now about 25.

That's awesome to hear! One thing we are worried about with DSis is her relapsing because childhood cancer has a tenancy to show up again. But seeing your cousin has gone 23 years without any trouble has given me faith my sister will be just as lucky.

Oh...em....geee.....that video is absolutely adorable! I love toddler-eeze! :goodvibes

As far as I can remember, she had just sat there and not spoken a word throughout the safari, as usual. She saw her flamingo friends and just popped out with that statement.

You go, DIS friend! :cheer2:

A teacher friend called yesterday to ask when I was going to school to work on my room. I told her it would have to be after church camp. When I hung up, those blasted school thoughts started coming into my head, so I fought them off by thinking only of how I was going to do my bulletin boards. I decided for sure I am going to do Nemo. The outside bulletin board will have my brand new (just bought at the Living Seas gift shop) Crush and a Nemo borrowed from Brooklynn. It will say Second Grade is Totally Awesome. One of my inside bulletin boards will have Mr. Ray and some friends saying There's So Much to Explore. Bruce will be on my Math board, and I'll use some kind of 'Math Shark' or 'Sharpening Math Skills' statement, yet to be decided.

Thank you from both of us! We really appreciate all of the support. I love my DIS friends :grouphug:

Thinking of you guys today. You and Mom will enjoy your time together over the next few weeks. I wish we lived in DIStown, because we would have food coming to you every night. Definitely text me today and let me know, and I will share with everyone here.

That's awesome to hear! One thing we are worried about with DSis is her relapsing because childhood cancer has a tenancy to show up again. But seeing your cousin has gone 23 years without any trouble has given me faith my sister will be just as lucky.

I'm not close with this cousin's family, and they don't live here, but as far as I have ever known, I don't think he has had any issues. He went to college and is working and all is well from what I know. We will have faith that your sister just had a one time setback and it's all smooth sailing for her from here on out! :thumbsup2

Page eleven?!?!?! :scared1:

Can't wait to hear all about the trip!!

Just about to put some new pictures up before I head out for another SAM'S run. :)

We made a stop at the Ocala Walmart to get some fresh fruit and a box fan. I love having a fan running in a room, especially at night. I love that the mods and deluxes have ceiling fans. Since we were driving, I decided to invest fifteen bucks in a box fan to have at Pop, and it was so worth it. Even if a room is cool enough, I still like stirring air better than stagnant air. When we fly again, I'll have to do without, but since I had the option, I was glad to have it.

The skies were a little dark as we neared Orlando.

disneysummmmer042.jpg

We checked into our off-site room and headed straight to Downtown Disney.

These are the best Disney pictures I could get from the back seat of the car as we drove in.

disneysummmmer043.jpg

disneysummmmer044.jpg

Jill was in the front seat, so I am sure she got something better that she can add.

When we got to DTD, I had to take a picture of this.

disneysummmmer045.jpg

Love it, love it, love it.

It felt so good to be walking around in Disney happiness again.

Can you guess where Jill is headed? ;)

disneysummmmer046.jpg

Brooklynn wanted to walk on the wall (don't all kids think that is fun?), so Bella had to walk on the wall, too.

disneysummmmer047.jpg

Earl delivered sandwich yumminess, as always.

disneysummmmer048.jpg

We wanted to check out some of the new places real quickly.
