Ahhh, thanks for the pictures from the Pop pool. I was able to close my eyes for a few minutes and pretend that's where I was sitting today instead of in my room watching too much TV!

I love that window. I have never really gotten into the window decorating thing but I think I should.

Of course you should tie dye the cheesecake!! You need those little disney touches. Like when I went to the movies to see Harry Potter last night, I totally saw a hidden Mickey in the movie.

A good DISer can find Disney in anything.

We usually put some characters in our windows, along with a new toy we might get on the trip. Sometimes we get the gel cling things. We definitely don't go into as much detail as those people did. I think they were very excited about all of their ADR's. I wish we might have happened by when they were coming or going so that we could have met them.

I say go for the tye-dye, sounds fun to make and even more fun to eat!! YUMMY!!

Trent declared it to be the best cheesecake ever, and Jill had two helpings. The only colors I had were pastels, though, so it looked very much like the cake I made a couple of weeks ago. I need to get some really bright colors and make one for school.

We go Tuesday for an in-service, but then we're free until Monday. The kids come back next Thursday.

Happy belated birthday Memom. I am celebrating my birthday (28th) today too, along with my dsil (29th) and ddil (31th). We always tease my youngest ds that he needs to find someone with a 30th birthday. I love those toontown playsets too and need to get some on our trip in October. Unfortunately we changed our dates too from the week you are there to the next week. I would have loved to meet you and darling Brooklynn. I love watching the girls grow up in your trip reports. I did tie-dye, but it didn't come out as good as I wanted it to.

I vote to absolutely make the cheesecake colorful! I pretty much add Mickey sprinkles to everything I bake, so I am always all for that extra Disney touch!

The cake was full of Mickey sprinkles, and the cheesecake was very colorful.

Last night they got 8 tubs of it while at the grocery store cause it was on sale for $1.99 normally $5.99. I think they got every flavor available.

I have a question....please.
My DMom wants to buy a new camera this week before she goes to my Gramma's.
She went yesterday to get the Cannon Rebel but found it too heavy to lug around the parks etc.
Which cameras do you and Jill have? I know you would reccomend them and she has very little time to go comparing and searching for another one.
Any other suggestions would be welcomed too.

I am an ice cream lover, too, but in Disney World it seems like I like the strawberry bars, or if I get ice cream, I get a cup of it as we're waiting for Fantasmic (mint chocolate chip ) or I get some at Pop to eat by the pool. I don't often get an ice cream bar. I think I've been too sloppy with them in the past.

Yes, I did look forward to having everyone together. I treasure our family time.

My camera is a Canon Power Shot SX120IS. John was showing me the next upgrade to that on sale today at Sears. I'd like to get it, but I'll probably just wait until this one gives out and then get a new one. I just hope this one doesn't give out in the middle of a trip one of these days.

We had fun. Since Ro has moved down here to work and be closer to Jarvis, we don't see him much, so it was good to have him around again. We talked about the Christmas trip, and Ro really wants to come. She has never been to Disney World.

Charles and I have two totally different cameras and both love them...I'm going to PM you Oddly enough, Charles and I, and Katie and Patrick, have the exact same cameras. We didn't realize it till last summer, and then again a few months ago when I asked Katie what her new camera was...turned out it was the same as Charles's new camera!

I just divided the cream part into five bowls and used the food coloring I had. Then I plopped it on top of the crust in sections and swirled a little. I wish it would have been darker, though.

I like my camera, but the one John was showing me today is a little better in a couple of areas, and it has a higher quality of video. Too bad I don't have an extra two hundred bucks at the moment.

The pool at POP looks SOOO COOL! I mean, you were sitting at the kiddie pool, but I love the theming. I must stay there sometime Great pictures of AoA, the timeline of facts are really cool, too. to the Lucy one!

That kiddie pool is great, because they can walk in and out with no help. There is no climbing in or any steps. There is one opening in and out, and there are several sets of tables and chairs all around, along with a bunch of lounge chairs.

The timeline facts go all along the walk. I'm not sure what the latest date is.

I am enjoying your trip report so much! Bella and Brooklyn are both so cute! We loved our stay at Pop back in June. Looks like they have made quite a bit of progress on the AoA resort and the new Fantasyland expansion from your pictures. I was sitting by the local pool the other night while my kids were in swim lessons and it reminded me of those wonderful evenings spent hanging out by the pools at Pop. We managed to visit all three during our stay. I wish we had plans to go back soon, but we don't so I will just keep reading your report to get my Disney and Pop fix.

An October trip to Disney!? How exciting! Halloween is my mother and my's favorite holiday. One late August trip we severely underestimated how early Disney World puts up decorations. One day it was normal Ol' Magic Kingdom and the next day BAM! Pumpkin City! My mom went into a picture taking frenzy to say the least It was awesome. Have fun for me! I'll just go pout in a corner till I can go during MNSSHP season

I love looking back on those pictures and remembering how nice it was to be sitting there. I can feel the breeze and hear the splashing and be back at Pop again absorbed in that happiness through those plain old 'view from where I sat' pictures. I hope that anyone who has ever sat at that pool, and that would be many of you, can 'feel' the sense of being there, too, when you see those.

I've just always hated pictures. I wish I did look decent in some of them so that the girls would have some good memories of me spending time with them as they grow up. Yesterday, while Jill and John went to the mall, the girls and I piled onto my bed and watched Mulan. Just sitting there with them doing something so simple was heaven to me.

Kay doesn't like pictures much, either, but she will take a few. She's much more cooperative than I am.

In October, you can see the beginnings of the Osborne Lights going up in Hollywood Studios. If you have never been to MNSSHP, you have something very cool to look forward to. We won't be going to the party because of the money factor, but we are looking forward to seeing the scarecrows and jack-o-lanterns and the neat displays in the windows on Main Street.

On this evening, we had made plans to meet jeremysdisneymom at Wilderness Lodge before they went to their Whispering Canyon ADR. Jill decided that it would be much easier for us to just drive over, since we had the van.

Brooklynn wanted a picture made on this rock, and Bella was happy to be able to do some climbing.

First order of business - coin tossing and making wishes.

So, DIS friends, there is no need to worry any more. All of your wishes will come true!

We waited for Erika and family at a comfortable seating area in front of Whispering Canyon, but the appointed time came and went with no sign of them. I had been messaging with Amy Falk Petermann before the trip, and she had said she might come by. She did, and we talked for several minutes. She took a phone picture, but I didn't even think about taking a picture.

Look! An empty table. Maybe we should just eat here, too.

After she left, we went to the Mercantile.

I am happy to report that this is the trip that I finally got my Bucket o' Little Green Men.

The Math experts have told us we need to use more manipulatives, so I'm making a center with those.

Jill did you buy some of these at some point?

The girls got bears. I think the name is supposed to be Koda, but Brooklynn said Yoda or Yoga, I can't remember which.

It was time for us to give up on the waiting.

We know how it is in Disney World. Time gets away from you, so we guessed Jeremy and his mom and dad were having too much fun out in a park somewhere.

We were walking out the inside front door when I heard someone call Jill's name.

It was Erika, and they were just making it to WCC. We were so happy that we were able to see them for a couple of minutes before Dad came and said their buzzer was going off.

Jeremy has really gotten tall over the past year, and Erika looks terrific!

Back to the car for us, but not before new pictures of the girls with their bear buddies.

I love the Wilderness Lodge resort! We've never stayed there and don't really have any interest in doing it, but we love to eat at WCC and tour the resort grounds. So beautiful!

At some point I would like to try the QS place...the menu is appealing.

I am not jealous of the people who have to put up the Osborne Lights or the Ice on the Castle. I admire their will power. I would probably just leave them up all year long way too many lights for me

I've only eaten at WCC with my family once, but it was probably the most memorable meal we had at Disney. I think we did more laughing than actually eating though. That was back when my family and I did not know the difference between the WL and AKL. Yea we were pretty naive, but it was out first trip so who cares?
