Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Love the pics at POP and also Wilderness Lodge. The girls are so adorable with their new bears. DISmeets are so much fun. So glad you had a great birthday celebration.

Love the WL photos! We love that resort. Not only was it the first place we stayed, it is where we met Anita and Marc for the first time. It holds a special place in our hearts.:goodvibes

Glad you had a great day with your family yesterday! That's what it is all about.:cloud9:

Ellie and I are going to make whoopie pies today (I bought a kit). Instead of the included rainbow sprinkles though, I am going to substitute some of my Mickey sprinkles.

We're thrilled to have you! Be assured that other than one time of the non-stop cheering on the bus, we have not had issues with the groups of teenagers. When you are a captive audience on a bus, though, it does get loud and maybe one round or two should be enough. :cheer2: I'll admit, we do power walk to a ride when we see a large group gathering to go that way, though.

I know exactly how loud ( and often rude) those groups can be...and sometimes, there are many grown ups that act just the same...At WDW, there were 3 or 4 times that I felt ashamed for being brasilien for I've seen really ugly things...but for all Disers who are reading this, please keep in mind that not all brasiliens are the same..in fact, we are really nice people most of the time...:thumbsup2. I just think that unfortunately there are many people who think that just because they are in another country or paying for something they can have all sorts of bad behaviour and get away with it...:confused3.

Memom , I love the pictures of the girls...they are soooo cute!!!!

The Wilderness Lodge looks like a fun place to explore! :goodvibes And what sweet wishes the girls made. ;)

It was so wonderful to see you and the girls again! I do believe the picture I have for my trip report does have someone else in it.......:rolleyes1..yes, MeMom, you will be making an appearance if I ever get to updating!

Love the girls on the rocks and the signs by the fountain!

Glad your friends did make it! I enjoy Jeremy's outfit :thumbsup2 reminds me of fruit sherbet

:rotfl2:OMG, never thought about it looking like sherbet! Jeremy would kill me if he knew this!!! I let him pick out his clothes but someone made fun of the color of his shorts at school and he refuses to wear those around home now.

Awww... what nice wishes! I hope they all come true! :wizard:

It looks like you guys had a really nice relaxing time at the Wilderness Lodge. I think I need to schedule more downtime into our vacations, I look at your pictures and think just how relaxing it would be to hang out in a perfectly themed lobby and just enjoy the experience. Of course, pulling me away from the parks isn't going to be easy, and poor Everett has become a Disney commando, not by choice, but purely for survival!

First order of business - coin tossing and making wishes.

So, DIS friends, there is no need to worry any more. All of your wishes will come true!

:thumbsup2 You know what I'm wishing for!:)

So glad you got to enjoy your time with the girls yesterday! I know that was the best birthday present ever.

I am soo sorry this is late, didnt have any time this weekend to log on....
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flower1::flower1::dumbo::sulley::tink:
I hope you had a wonderful day!!!!
I really enjoyed the pictures from the Wilderness Lodge, that is where we are staying in October!!!! Did you decide to tye dye the cheesecake???

Love that the girls threw the quarters into the fountain!!! :goodvibes And holding their signs! Just adorable!!! Those lucky bears getting to go home with them -- I bet they are being spoiled rotten -- oh, and hurray for Little Green Men for your classroom!!! They will bring you lots of smiles, I am sure!

Great picture of Erika and Jeremy with Jill and the girls!

I have to make up some games to go with my Little Green Men. I've been too busy to think about it lately, so if you have any ideas, let me know. They will be a special center that can only be 'checked out' from me, because I don't want the LGM's to start disappearing, and I know they will be tempting for some.

I love the fountain pictures!! So cute!! I hope everyone gets their wishes!! I'll have to make a trek over to WL in February; it's been years since I've been over there!

I hope everyone gets their wishes, too. Nothing makes me happier than seeing other happy. :)

We almost always got to Wilderness Lodge. As a matter of fact, we almost always go to WL, AKL, and Poly on every trip. We love to see the resorts, so we'll go eat there usually. Sometimes we go to grand Floridian, but not nearly as regularly as those three places.

Adorable picture of the girls on the rock! Yay for a fun DIS meet!

Love the new bears...we had quite a few new stuffed friends come home with us this trip!

Can't wait to see who all came home with you!

We were so glad we hadn't already left when they finally made it to WCC.

I love the Wilderness Lodge resort! We've never stayed there and don't really have any interest in doing it, but we love to eat at WCC and tour the resort grounds. So beautiful!

At some point I would like to try the QS place...the menu is appealing.

Those were some mighty nice wishes! What a fun idea to take pics of the girlies holding those little signs!

And I liked that bucket of little green men!

We stayed there for two nights at the end of a long Pop trip. It was wonderful.

It can get kind of crowded in Roaring Fork. They don't have near the selection that Pop does, but what we have eaten there has been good.

I have been eyeing those little green guys for a long time, but I couldn't figure out how to justify the purchase. As soon as the Math people started talking about more manipulatives, like beans, coins, shells, etc., I knew how to put that green to good use! :thumbsup2

WL pics!

The lobby is so beautiful. I love sitting somewhere and just taking it all in.

WCC is such a fun place to eat.

I hope your trip to the fountain was successful!

I hope that was a successful trip, too, for everyone.

That lobby is so inviting. At Christmastime, it is beautiful and so cozy, even though it is so big. I found a great out of the way sitting area on an upper level - perfect for reading a book or just sitting with friends and family talking.

I am not jealous of the people who have to put up the Osborne Lights or the Ice on the Castle. I admire their will power. I would probably just leave them up all year long way too many lights for me

I've only eaten at WCC with my family once, but it was probably the most memorable meal we had at Disney. I think we did more laughing than actually eating though. That was back when my family and I did not know the difference between the WL and AKL. Yea we were pretty naive, but it was out first trip so who cares?

Glad your friends did make it! I enjoy Jeremy's outfit reminds me of fruit sherbet

It does take them a couple of months to get them all up, and that is a lot of work. I wonder if they will do anything special with the Osborne Lights this year to honor Jennings Osborne, who just passed away.

There is so much to Disney World. It takes a while to really grasp the size and that there are so many resorts with so many rooms. It is truly an incredible place.

Yay for a DISmeet!!

The signs the girls held up for the wishes were too cute

Beautiful pictures of WL, I'm really looking forward to staying there for the first time in October.

I hope you like Wilderness Lodge. We had a great room just a few steps away from the beach. We sat out there and watched the EWP one night. We sat on the porch (we were ground floor) and ate breakfast. We loved it!

I saw that picture on the rock on FB while you were there. I think was my favorite one that you posted during the trip!

That was a sweet picture of the girls. :lovestruc

The pictures of the girls were so cute. It is great that you were able to have two Dis meets.

We were so glad to be able to see Erika's family again. Amy said she used to be on the DIS, but she had given it up. She was on here as Ellie Peters. Don't know if you recognize that name. She and her family just moved to Florida from Wisconsin.

The Wilderness Lodge is so gorgeous! I think that's my dream deluxe. Maybe someday.... ;)

I love the idea of using the Bucket o' Little Green Men for Math. What a fantastic thought! My kids would love that. :)

They loved their new critters. :goodvibes

We definitely enjoy meeting our DIS friends in person.

I think a person's first resort makes it always special. Pop was our first, and it's home to us now. I love the deluxes, and I can easily see how it is nice to stay at those on a regular basis, but even when we don't stay at Pop, we always go visit.

My family is what it is about for me. Sharing this life with them and then eternity in heaven together is my heart's desire.

Feel free to share a picture of that sweet girl and her delicious creations!

I know exactly how loud ( and often rude) those groups can be...and sometimes, there are many grown ups that act just the same...At WDW, there were 3 or 4 times that I felt ashamed for being brasilien for I've seen really ugly things...but for all Disers who are reading this, please keep in mind that not all brasiliens are the same..in fact, we are really nice people most of the time... Memom , I love the pictures of the girls...they are soooo cute!!!!

You sure don't need to defend anyone. None of us can be responsible for teenagers and the way they act when they get together in groups away from home. Sometimes even the best ones succumb to negative peer pressure, unfortunately. I don't like it, and I am so proud when I see young people acting so nicely and representing their families so well, but I can understand it more than I can understand how adults can get out in public and act so ridiculous sometimes. ;)

Thanks. We think our girls are pretty cute, but we're a little biased.

The Wilderness Lodge looks like a fun place to explore! And what sweet wishes the girls made.

It is. You should go over there on your trip. By the way, when you do a TR, let us know. I have more reports than I can keep up with right now, so I am mostly focusing on trip reports and not pre-trips. I will join in whenever you get back and start the trip report, just be sure to come over here and announce it.

It was so wonderful to see you and the girls again! I do believe the picture I have for my trip report does have someone else in it.........yes, MeMom, you will be making an appearance if I ever get to updating!

Love the girls on the rocks and the signs by the fountain!

Noooooo! I bet a like a freak!

OMG, never thought about it looking like sherbet! Jeremy would kill me if he knew this!!! I let him pick out his clothes but someone made fun of the color of his shorts at school and he refuses to wear those around home now.

Don't dare let him read this. You know how sensitive kids his age are. As you have noted in your report already, he's finding that teenage attitude already!

Awww... what nice wishes! I hope they all come true!

You've seen the castle show - if we all say it together, Dreams Come True!

Yes, we are learning more and more each trip the fine art of relaxing in Disney World. ::yes::

I just love the pictures of the girls holding up their signs.

They had no idea what they said, but they went along with my craziness. A little bitty index card sure can look big when held by Bella's little hands.

You know what I'm wishing for!

So glad you got to enjoy your time with the girls yesterday! I know that was the best birthday present ever.

I do, and it will come in time. And maybe with some work and cost. I have a sweet cousin who is having trouble conceiving, and some of those coins had her name on them, too. :)

I am soo sorry this is late, didnt have any time this weekend to log on....
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flower1::flower1::dumbo::sulley::tink:
I hope you had a wonderful day!!!!
I really enjoyed the pictures from the Wilderness Lodge, that is where we are staying in October!!!! Did you decide to tye dye the cheesecake???

Thanks for the birthday greeting. We had a nice family day together yesterday.

I did tie-dye the cake, but I was disappointed that it was so light. Ihave to get some new food coloring. What I have been using is a package of pastels. I am ready for something brighter. A picture will be coming soon.

I'm going to need EXTRA MAGICAL DIS Baby wishes on your next trip. I don't know how you can make them extra magical but we could use all the pixie dust we can get.:upsidedow

I love the outfits the girls have been wearing, very cute. :cutie:

The Wilderness Lodge is so gorgeous! I think that's my dream deluxe. Maybe someday....

I love the idea of using the Bucket o' Little Green Men for Math. What a fantastic thought! My kids would love that.

After we stayed at Wilderness Lodge, I just knew I could stay there forever. After I stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, I was more confused. Now I like both of them! They are both so inviting!

I need to have time to think of simple adding and subtracting activities, get the problems on cards, and find some LGM stickers to put on them. The kids will like it.

Here are the few pictures I took yesterday, for those who are interested.

We celebrated Brooklynn starting school this week.

BrooklynnKinderparty001.jpg

My new plates from the Atlanta Disney Store.

BrooklynnKinderparty002.jpg

Some of Drew's friends.
Sam, pouring the drink, has been to Disney World with us two times.

BrooklynnKinderparty003.jpg

The usual gang, plus now we have added Jarvis's girlfriend.

BrooklynnKinderparty004.jpg

More of Drew and friends.

BrooklynnKinderparty005.jpg

Yellow cake with chocolate frosting and Mickey sprinkles.

BrooklynnKinderparty006.jpg

The no-bake cheesecake.

BrooklynnKinderparty007.jpg

It is obvious that I didn't 'clean it up' by wiping off the container. Nobody seemed to care, though.

Inside.
It was not dark enough, but it would have been good for an Easter dessert with the lighter colors.

BrooklynnKinderparty008.jpg

Brandon and his girlfriend, Heather.

BrooklynnKinderparty009.jpg

Brooklynn and her poster.

BrooklynnKinderparty010.jpg

I don't think I got Trent in any of those pictures. He was over at the stove for a while fixing turkey burgers.

I'm going to need EXTRA MAGICAL DIS Baby wishes on your next trip. I don't know how you can make them extra magical but we could use all the pixie dust we can get.:upsidedow

I love the outfits the girls have been wearing, very cute. :cutie:

We'll do that in October. :thumbsup2
If it doesn't 'take', we can try again in December.

They do have some cute little outfits. They don't dress alike all the time, by any means, but at WDW it's easier on Jill. Plus, she said if one of them were to get lost, she could without thinking know what the other one was wearing. :thumbsup2

Yes, maybe I need a schedule of all of your future trips so I know I have that extra magic in my corner. :rotfl:

They really are cute and I figured she did that so it would be easier to keep track of them. I think that is a really good idea with little kids in a large crazy place like Disney. Chances are you will never need to have that information but it's nice to know you do have it in your back pocket. :thumbsup2

I found a great out of the way sitting area on an upper level - perfect for reading a book or just sitting with friends and family talking.

I know exactly where you're talking about. It is such a nice, quiet place!

Yum!!! I could go for some of that cheesecake, right about now.
And I love turkey burgers. Mmmm...Mmmm
