Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I am here... way late but only had a few pages to catch up on! I need to watch the video now at home though!

Love the video of Bella!!! So cute!! Those crazy mingos in the water!! Neat (to me) that you stopped in Ocala. We have a home (it was my Grandparents) in Belleview. Right down the road. It is rented out as the location doesn't hold much appeal to any of us... That first step onto Disney property is just bliss. Such happiness. :goodvibes Good first stop at EOS :thumbsup2 I have always gone for the Hawaiian bbq but think I actually might change it up in October. Or not. :rotfl2: I may buy those muffin pans...I have the ice cube trays...I figure if I decide not to bake then I can have really big ice cubes to go along with my little ones:rotfl2:
Can't wait for your first day and your move to your Pop home :goodvibes

Christine-glad to hear that your mom's surgery went well and she is recovering nicely!:goodvibes

Love the DTD pictures! I have a fountain picture somewhere... I also have a picture of the tourist lego family, I think... They are definitely still there but changed up a bit. I loved all the new Lego sculptures and the design of the Lego store now. Much easier to deal with now for we frequent Lego store shoppers.

I did get to eat some Earl on this trip (Ellie doesn't like it:scared1: so we buy her a hot dog from the stand outside). We got drenched on our DTD afternoon so we didn't get to do much shopping. Unfortunately we never made it back this trip either. I think that means I get a do over too, right??;)

Absolutely love the tie dye cake! I will have to try that.
Before I even read your ideas, I had planned on doing some Nemo in my classroom this year too. Last year I had Toy Story outside my room (Rounding up a great class) and the kids all decorated cowboy hats. This year another teacher gave me some under the sea name plates and border so I was going to do Nemo! Great minds think alike!

Chicago is the place to be this summer! I am going on Sunday with some people from school for a conference. We won't have much time but I am excited to see what I can!!

Your cake looks yummy! The girls and I made rainbow cupcakes for St. Patrick's day that turned out really neat, but making layered cupcakes was a bit tedious. I like the idea of a cake much better!

Love Love Love the video, it is absolutely too stinking adorable. Those girls are just too precious and adorable.

Tink9721 - I'm glad your mom is doing alright! I'll think good thoughts for both of you over the next several weeks.

MeMom -- Loved the Downtown Disney update!!!! EoS is soooo yummy! I can't wait until September to have another Hawaiian BBQ sandwich!!! :lovestruc

The girls are sooo adorable! I love their matching outfits!!! And of course that video was sooo stinkin cute!!!! I watched it over & over :thumbsup2

I feel the same way -- I love DTD and WS but don't feel like we're ever there long enough!

Christine -- Just sent you a message on FB because at that time, I hadn't read past the post when you announced your mom's surgery. Now I've read MeMom & your updates -- soooo glad everything went well with the surgery! I will still keep you both in my thoughts & prayers for a speedy recovery!!! Please let her know all of your DIS friends are thinking of her!!!

So glad you tried the cake recipe. It looks very cool!

I love strolling around DTD. And you've put an item on my shopping list with those wood (or maybe they are plastic made to look like wood) plates.

Love EoS but also want to try Wolfgang Puck Express. Decisions, decisions.

Yeay for Earl and DtD! All those new Lego creations are very cool! Love the Maleficent dragon!

The cake looks delicious!!! Can I convince you to come down to Georgia and bake Chelsea's b-day cake for tomorrow? She wants a round red velvet -- hopefully it is easier than last year's round cake was for me to do.

If he had been satisfied to sit on the bench watching his daughters spin in circles on the merry-go-round, we would not even know each other today. But, he wanted to play with them, and because he did, we are here reading this and sharing each others' lives. Pretty good case for saying that what we do can really have a big effect on others, huh?

:goodvibes :thumbsup2

I hope this one is still there in October! I love my Maleficent.

He loves my computer. In fact, he's somehow managed to make the tool bar disappear and I can't figure out to get it back!

:cool1: Yay a new TR! Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures....even though I'm recouping from an accident/concussion & I'm not supposed to be on the computer at all :rolleyes1

I'm so glad to hear everything's good. :thumbsup2 I'll continue to keep her in my prayers!

Christine Glad to hear your mom is doing fine and there was no complications with the anesthesia or the surgery! Hope she rehabilitates just fine :)

Good luck with camp this week! The cake should be a big hit with everyone! Looks very yummy!

I've never been to the Ocala Walmart, we usually make a stop in Kissimee.
This trip we will be make a stop after SeaWorld on our Day 2.
I have to Google locations to see if there are any on route.
Gotta get bananas and snacks...and we always find a souvenier or two.
I love any Walmart that has a Disney section in it! :goodvibes

I wish I was in DTD!
Great pic of the fountain....my DMom always marvels at it and hopes one day to copy it.
Yipee! Shopping pics!
I just put the muffin tray and those wooden plates on my list.
I wonder if Lexi would still let me put those "cute" princess hair bows in her hair.
I vow to try EoS this trip somehow.... somewhere.
We have plans to sample something at TRex and Planet Hollywood on the first night.
The new Lego statues are so cool! I'm saving those as a surprize for Lexi..she doesn't play with Lego but loves to see the creations.
One of my goals this trip is to discover more of DTD.

Did you like the hotel at DTD? The pool sure looks nice!

I am so apreciative to Walt for having his vision and for all of the people who have had a hand it making his dream come true.
That kind of magic doesn't just happen....I'm so grateful there is a place that my family can go and all have a great time!

Tink 9721I'm so glad your DMom made it through the surgery well and I wish her a speedy recovery.

Where did this morning go...I gotta hustle and make a grocery run before work tonight.
Have a great weekend all! :)

Walt's the greatest. :worship: Wonder if he had ANY idea how his innoventions (like how I worked that in there??) would filter down through the generations and help families play together and stay together?

DD peeked over my shoulder and saw the pic of the tye dye cake and her face went like this:  She turns 8 next Saturday and was seriously considering having this for her birthday cake.

I hope you have a marvelous time at camp MeMom and I look forward to hearing from you when you get back!!

It probably has another official gymnastics name.

Here we call it a Crab Walk! But don't know if thats a technical term either:confused3
I'm in, a little late, for another trip report!!
I did start a TR its called "Is TODAY the day Dad? A July TR", hope u'll stop by!
Can't wait to hear/see more about ur trip!

I'm loving the new trip report and the merchandise pictures! Get's me excited for my trip in 18 days! :goodvibes

Please people: stop quoting that cake picture! I am DYING here wanting it!
Now I'm going to have to go back and find the recipe and get the stuff to make it! Jeez. You guys are torturing me!

the cake looks cute! we are celebrating my nephews 5th birthday while we are in canada and that would be a cute cake to make!

i like that the legos are disney themed now!

I thought the muffin mold was an ice mold! I have been wanting an ice mold to make mickey mouse shaped ice cubes for Caleb's mickey Mouse Birthday party! There is probably going to be a big disneyshopping.com order for me before September! :-)

The Lego statues were very cool. There are so many of them now.

That cake would be a great birthday cake - maybe specifically for a boy make the colors a little bolder. Show us if you end up making it.

I have regretted not getting that mold. I could have made Mickey cakes for camp.

The tie dye cheesecake turned out great.

It was just a regular white cake. I may have to make a tie-dyed cheesecake for camp this week, too. The kids would like that!

Love that cake! I am so making that with my girls at church. I'm suddenly inspired to do a lesson on Noah!

Have fun, and show us your results. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: The report grew an extra page while I was reading it and I was all confused...You can tell I've just finished work and am now officially on holidays!

I love the Mickey flower pot fountain! You should put that in your collage MeMom!:) And I also want to Mickey muffin tray and those cute wooden plates! Sounds like a very enjoyable evening at DTD! That hotel pool is huge!

I'm glad to hear that all o our Dis-friends' families are doing ok. You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers:hug:

Wish me luck...I'm now going to line up for Harry Potter....Winnie the Pooh is on Tuesday with my neice and nephews in Indiana! :goodvibes

It's definitely going in my collage. I actually finally sent some pictures to be prints, and the machine messed them all up, so I'll have to get a chance to do them again. That collage will get done one of these days!

Have fun at Winnie the Pooh. I will admit, I have never seen one Harry Potter movie.

I'll take some of that tie dye cake Actually, we found out a couple of days ago that some people from our church are gonna bring some food over for a few days starting on Tuesday :) That'll give my mom a day to get settled before people start coming over. I can't cook much more than pasta so we'll appreciate it :rotfl:

Thanks MeMom!

The surgery went very well and my mom's doing fine! I got there at about 3:30, which was earlier than I thought. Orientation was supposed to go until 4:00 but the last 2 and a half hours were just for class registration, and they let people go when they were done, so I got out a little after 3:00. Anyway, my mom looked pretty good, but she was still a little groggy from the anesthesia. She said she was feeling better than she thought she would. They have her on a morphine drip, so she's not in a lot of pain. The nurse asked what her pain level was on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the highest) and she said 3, so that's not too bad. She was just really tired. She was starting to fall asleep mid-sentence when I left. I'm going back to visit tomorrow for a few hours. She's either coming home Sunday or Monday. We're both hoping for Sunday! She's gonna go nuts if she's in the hospital too long!

Thanks again to all of my wonderful DIS friends

So glad your mom is doing well. Sometimes, though, after a day or two of being brave and strong, it catches up with a person, so tell her to take it real easy and not do too much even if she feels good. Soreness moves around in your body, it seems like, so what might not hurt today could be hurting tomorrow.

If you ever get interested in trying out some new things, try a website called All Recipes. They have great recipes and reviews. People who have made the items will add their opinions or tell how they changed the recipe. I like to look through it now and then for new ideas.

I'm so glad to hear everything's good. :thumbsup2 I'll continue to keep her in my prayers!

I know she appreciates how many DIS friends were and are thinking of her family this week. :)

That cake is almost too pretty to eat...almost;)

Walt and his brother Roy are some of my biggest idols. They have brought happiness to so many people, even well past their life times.
I just wish they knew more about cigarettes back then and how they were more dangerous to your health than most people thought. Maybe then Walt would have been around for a little while longer.:sad2:

DSis has a pair of pink cheetah headband ears, you can borrow them if you would like :thumbsup2 I prefer the original ears myself. Except for the little elastic chin strap on them. Those annoy me.

Christine Glad to hear your mom is doing fine and there was no complications with the anesthesia or the surgery! Hope she rehabilitates just fine :)

I was pleased with the cake. I thought it was pretty. I showed my boys, but they weren't too excited. Boys don't use the word 'pretty' too much.

It is sad that Walt's life ended too soon due to cigarettes.

I am here... way late but only had a few pages to catch up on! I need to watch the video now at home though!

Are you still on your Vegas trip? What was the most fun about it?

Love the video of Bella!!! So cute!! Those crazy mingos in the water!! Neat (to me) that you stopped in Ocala. We have a home (it was my Grandparents) in Belleview. Right down the road. Tracy

Can you imagine? Mingos and water???

You could make ice cubes made out of punch for a punch bowl whenever you have a party that requires a punch bowl. You'd have big floating Mickey heads to keep the punch cold but not water it down. :thumbsup2

I like the Hawaiian BBQ at Earl's, too, but I have to tell them to go easy on the sauce. It's a little too much for me.
