This is Black Pearl, our guide wherever we go.

She tells us where to go and how long it will take to get there, and she recalculates a lot.

Mine is named Priscilla and has a very snooty, accented voice because it's usually really, really hard for me to ignore. She also recalculates a lot and I swear she sounds annoyed when she says "recalculating"!

I'm SO excited to see what the new resort at Pop looks like when I'm there in January! Last time I was there, it was still untouched, so I can't wait to see how far along they are in a little under six months from now!

Black Pearl, huh? ... If only my parents had named their GPSes... though we yell at the thing most of the time so it doesn't deserve a name But they do recalculate a lot don't they? And love how they pronounce certain things... "Bu-wenna Vista!" Hahaha

That was great you had a nice check-in lady and she even switched your rooms up for you. I've read most of the time, they either mess up the view you may have reserved for or be "I'm sorry, can't do that." I will have to look for Judy if I ever stay at Pop Century

Oh, and definitely get as much fun as Donald is, out of that AP!

Your room looks great and you can walk out every morning to see the construction of "Art of Animation". It looks like where you took the picture is in either the Finding Nemo or Little Mermaid section...

Our GPS's name is Steve, I loved when we use to drive around California and Steve would try to pronounce all of the Spanish city names. Basically if it started with "San" you knew he was going to fumble it up.

I love Disney CM's! Its amazing how even early in the morning they can put on a smile and spread some pixie dust But it' is probably easier to be a morning person in Disney World I know it is for me!

I cannot express to you how much I love this place and how much I love the first moments of a trip. I suspect most of you know, though, and feel the same.

The first day is always the best. You are just happy to finally be there and still have everything to look forward too

Black Pearl! What a great name! Ours is called "Madge"...it's short for Magellan She's not so good with directions either...the last time I was on my way home from Indiana she "recalculated" and tried to send me to Kentucky! She also sent me on a dirt road into a cornfield recently!

So glad your mom is doing well. Sometimes, though, after a day or two of being brave and strong, it catches up with a person, so tell her to take it real easy and not do too much even if she feels good. Soreness moves around in your body, it seems like, so what might not hurt today could be hurting tomorrow.

If you ever get interested in trying out some new things, try a website called All Recipes. They have great recipes and reviews. People who have made the items will add their opinions or tell how they changed the recipe. I like to look through it now and then for new ideas.

I'm not letting her do anything but relax for a while :yes: I'm taking care of the house work, the dog, the cats, etc. She hasn't done much but lie on the couch and watch tv or read since she's been home. She's been up walking around the house a little. She can walk with no problem, it's just getting up and down that hurts. She gets tired easily, but said she's really not in any pain unless she bumps the incision.

I should definitely look at that website!

I know she appreciates how many DIS friends were and are thinking of her family this week.

You had/have lots of people thinking of you this week.

Hello! I am mostly a TR lurker but I have read nearly every one of your fine TRs!

I cannot believe you made it to an 8:00ADR with switching hotels and checking in/dropped off luggage! That is amazing with 2 smallish kids!

I love first days!! How great the CM was able to fix the room situation and get you in rooms that were ready!

Okay, I am officially super jealous of your Donald AP. My AP deactivated for some reason, so I had to get a new one. My old one was Goofy and my new one...............Goofy.

So happy to find your new TR! Who knew I'd be 18 pages behind when I did find it! LOL Actually, I fell about 85 or so pages behind on the old TR and had to get caught up there first before reading this one. I did follow along on both of your FB pages though as you were preparing for your summer trip. Still can't believe how big the girls are getting. Still remember reading the very first TR you two wrote and how little Brooklynn was!

MeMom, I understand how you feel about Trent. My brother (age 37) could be his twin. In more ways than one- works out all of the time, looks similar too! Won't get married unless he's guaranteed of not getting divorced. Obviously, no marriage can come with that guarantee. He wants and loves kids, but won't settle down to have them. My Mom and I have resigned with the idea of him not having his own kids. If he does have kids someday, they may be stepchildren, which would be just as lovely. I thought that Alex & Trent should have met while he lived in Tampa, but I read that Trent suddenly moved home!

Sorry to hear that we won't be meeting on MKs 40th Birthday, but I know you'll have an awesome time with Brooklynn!!
