Military Discount Tickets?

Yes, it is, and yes, they have definitely minimized the info! When I ordered our tickets (using the new form, that I attached above) a month or so ago, I asked her why they had done that, since it meant they had to ask for so much more information on the phone now, like address, ID number, etc. She said it was because of regulations that had come down regarding privacy and other issues. They take the info from you, and then verify your eligibility in their systems.
:thanks:

I just sent it in. Makes sense not to send personal DOD info over email.

I'm such a chicken, I don't want to do anything wrong, but if you both have used that form, I'm about ready to do it. :teeth: My only concern is the price the woman on the phone said was a few dollars less than what's on the list. I don't mind paying the extra few bucks, but I want to be sure I have the right info. Is there somewhere else to see the cost of the 4 day hoppers?
Thanks again!

Here is the WDW website Military page, it looks like it mirrors the price form SOG has.

That's odd, I have people on my military Facebook page who already received the information from SoG for the new tickets. The order form is the same (and in fact has incorrect older dates on it), and they included the new price list. They said to just use the order form and ignore the dates. I'll attach them here.
Thanks for sharing this. I had been trying to get the 2020 tickets, that were extended to February 15 for almost two weeks at SOG. They must have been swamped with requests, finally got them on February 12 to beat the deadline. The new tickets are a great deal, but 2020 were quite a bit better, with the exception that you couldn't get Park Hopper Plus added to them.

Did the price of the tickets change? On the shades of green website the price sheet is updated and shows the tickets a few dollars cheaper. ( I'm all about cheap tho )

Go for it today. I promise, it's correct.

And the price list I attached above was directly from SoG, too.

Have a great trip!

You made me look again so I just went back to SOG’s site and saw 4 day hoppers for 291.75. https://www.shadesofgreen.org/application/files/4416/1350/6429/2021_WDW_Price_List.pdf
Above it shows 296.00.

I see that all of their prices changed even for MYW tickets.

Looks like they updated the pricing yesterday. Good news! Put the lower price on the order form, and if there are any issues, they will straighten them out when they call to finalize the order.

They did go down?!? I had to go back and reread this thread 2x. I thought it was my imagination earlier tonight!

I was at SOG a couple of hours ago to pick up some MYW tickets for my extended family this week and she said the prices went up (or maybe I misheard and she meant I was smart getting them now because they are about to go up?)

I just pulled up a copy of 2020 prices on a PDF sent to me in Feb 2020 and the 3-day MYW tickets are $10 higher than what I paid tonight.

Oh, I just noticed something new on the MYW tickets. They apparently no longer havee the 2030 expiration date. They now expire on 12/31/22.

Also, they now sell MYW tickets which are $140 a day along with "seasonal" $119 if I'm reading correctly? The latter come with December blockout dates. This is a big change. And a bummer! (We use 1-day MYW tickets often around the holidays to pop in when visiting family)

Looking at the 5day hopper I am most likely wrong , it had been 520 under first printing but under second printing its 517.50. I was just comparing between between first printing and second printing not year to year. Sorry for the confusion.

That expiration date puts them in line with the tickets that Disney sells. That longer expiration was nice if you had the money to stock up! But you can still use the value of any unused ticket toward the future purchase of a ticket at current prices.

Yes, that new 1-day ticket category is interesting. I need a couple of 1-day tickets for a gift for my daughter and her husband, but they aren’t going over the holidays, so that works for us.

:thanks:

Have you heard back yet? We sent ours Friday morning and now I see DHS is starting to reach capacity for some days in April so I'm getting anxious. :hyper: Trying to get an idea of how long it will take.

I’m in the waiting game too. Sent mine in on the 17th. Heard back on 18th that they’d call soon. From what I’ve read on a military Facebook page it’s 5 days.

I sent mine in on the 17th got an email on the 18th. Today they called to get my information and payment. Got an email right after with my tracking #

Thanks for the info! Ill have my son check his email and stalk his phone. ;)

Have you received the email saying they have your ticket order and you should receive a phone call soon? If you didn’t get that yet I’d send it in again.

I should get the call today then. I sent it in at 12:41pm on the 17th. Their email came in at 2:54pm on the 18th.

What time did they call you? Just trying to gauge my day as of course I have appointments in the afternoon. Really hoping the call comes this morning.
