Would this not be considered a form of child porn?![]()

When will folks realize that making a big deal about it gives is MORE attention than if it is ignored? I also wonder what effect all this attention paid to this stuff has on all those attention-starved girls who's parents are showing more passion towards this than towards what's going on in their own child's lives. Probably the exact opposite of what was intended.
I think these threads raise more questions about our society's adults than about our children.Sometimes it is laughable to read responses to things like this. Get a grip, folks.

I completely agree with you on this.
I just saw the photo and frankly, was not bothered by it. Her shoulder and part of her back were uncovered. Heavens, no! Body parts!! What gave it the air of seductiveness was the way her makeup and hair was done, IMO. Not the fact that she was wrapped in a big sheet (not topless). A day at the beach reveals far more than that photo.

Predictably, you've missed the point. The more attention people pay to this, the more they tell our children that this is the way to get attention.Really? You'd like to see a 15 year old teenager naked? If so, for what reason?
Holy cow. Did you just say that? Talk about over the top. This is completely off base. It has no sense of perspective or even perhaps rationality.America = The New Taliban![]()
To be fair, I haven't seen the photos. (I don't really care to either, so don't send me links.)Huh? Your first comment says we (America specifically) "go over the top" about nudity (remember, she's just 15 and she wasn't really nude) by the reaction to this.
Not at all. That's the point. The only thing I'm concerned about is the reaction. The reaction is the problem, not the photos. Then you state your concern about the impact the reaction will have, but apparently you're NOT concerned at all about the photographs themselves.
Perhaps they're doing it because people pay undo attention to it; because people care about it so much. If so, those people paying undo attention to it are not only part of the problem, but are the crux of the problem. In places where nudity is not such a source of maniacal over-reaction, they don't have many of the problems associated with this.Take a stroll through any large mall and tell me that a lot of teens aren't prancing around with nearly every private "bit" hanging out.
Your comments are inappropriate and unacceptable. I've reported them to the moderators for disciplinary action.I can only assume that you're OK with that too.
That's bull. Time and time again we've learned that if we pay attention to something, then that will foster it, not make it go away. Parents should focus on what is truly important: their children.
Really? You'd like to see a 15 year old teenager naked? If so, for what reason? It's just "natural" like nudism?

Take a stroll through any large mall and tell me that a lot of teens aren't prancing around with nearly every private "bit" hanging out. We see it in their dress, we see it in their actions, we see it in their text messages, we see it in their words and we see it in their tattoos and piercings. Face the fact that teens/kids (some much MUCH younger than Miley) today are being over sexualized AND some (I think a lot) of parents are OK with it. I can only assume that you're OK with that too.
Making a big deal of it should make people stop and think about it. Then they can reflect on the issue. I would be more worried when people don't react to stuff like this.
I don't know who "Bizzarro superman" is, but perhaps the tag fairy will make some use of this.Like "Bizzarro superman". You are the "Bizarro Talulabelle"

Ick. I have only seen the "bedsheet " one. Gross. Child porn. Why? "Her" statement that was released says she took place in a photoshoot that was supposed to be "artistic" but now she is embarrassed. Ummmmmmmmm all forms of porn could be considered artistic. Let me just say when ever someone is naked and wrapped in a bedsheet, and giving a "come hither" look at the camera, it is suggesting ONE thing. Duh! This girl is 15. This is disgusting!
There goes another one! No role models for our girls. I was so happy about the whole Hannah Montana thing becasue I was thrilled there was wholsome thing my daughter could enjoy and it was cool and I didn't have to worry about it. Now this girl and her family have just sold her down the river and I have to try to guide my daughter down the straight and narrow without any girls in the entertainment industry to point to.
How hard is it? Um, clothes good. Naked, and SOLD to a magazine, bad. Just go about it like you would with any daughter that is 15 and you will be fine. If I took my 15 yr old daughter to a portrait and the photographer (no matter how famous) wanted her to remove her top and wrap in a sheet for an "artistic" shot, I would say NO. Um, red flag. My daughter is 15! She will keep her darn clothes ON. Why can't they do that with their 15 year old daughter? Why would you allow any photo of your daughter to be taken and published on a magazine that you wouldn't wouldn't want to hang in your livingroom for guests to see?
Predictably, you've missed the point. .

If you have a perspective on the issue, then make your comments about the issue; don't attack individual posters!

And you evidently didn't read the post you replied to.![]()
You mean there isn't a single woman in history that you couldn't point to as a role model for your children? Why do you need someone in the entertainment industry?
