Dates- 10/2/09- 10/3/09

Part 1:

Our Journey To The World- Our journey started on Thursday night as we took a red eye flight on Air Tran Airways. This was the 1st time either of us have flown Air Tran and basically we chose it because they had a really good deal on airfare from Vegas to Orlando as it was only $99 each way. Very good deal so we had to jump on it. Anyways our plane from Vegas to Atlanta took off ahead of schedule and also landed a good half hour before it was supposed to as we landed just shortly after 4AM. I didn’t know but this is really an awkward time to land in Atlanta as nothing is open as far as eateries and also the restrooms are closed until 5AM! Yikes! The only thing that is open is the family restrooms. So after waiting we were finally able to use the restrooms. We got conflicting reports as to where what gate our flight to Orlando was gonna be boarding from. One screen said it was from the C gates and the other from the D gates, so after walking back a few times we finally asked and said it would be from the D gates. Our flight again took off on schedule and landed ahead of schedule in Orlando as we arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule. As we were nearing the landing I almost got tears in my eyes as it was my first trip back to where I used to call home for 9 years. I've been waiting for this trip for a long time and was excited to see it become a reality. My overall experience getting there on AirTran was pretty good. It’s a no frills airline like SouthWest but at least your able to get your seats assigned ahead of schedule even if you have to pay $6 per seat. The flight attendants we had were pretty good as well, I’ll have to go way back to remember where I actually got a whole can of soda and asked if I wanted extra bags of pretzels. Something you never see anymore. I’ll give them thumbs up for that.:thumbsup2

Coming Up Next: A Ride On The Magical Express:

A Ride On The Magical Express- Once getting off the plane we headed straight from the monorail which took us to the main building at the airport. From there we proceeded to the elevators and then all the way to the end of the hall where Disney’s Magical Express counter was. Since we already had brochures we didn’t have to wait in any lines to check in. That’s all we did was hand our voucher over to the lady and then we were on our way to the line where we waited to board our bus to Coronado Springs. We waited maybe 5 minutes and then we were boarding our bus. Once everyone boarded our driver told us he would be making 4 stops on the route: Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, and Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were stop #3. First we dropped off all the Pop Century Guests which was half the bus, after that we proceeded to Caribbean Beach where a few families got off and then finally to Cornoado Springs! Wooo Hooo! We were the first ones off the bus at Coronado Springs and quickly made our way to the registration area of Coronado Springs.

Joining in. I often say that trip reports and pictures are what keep me sane until our next WDW vacation. Thanks for your contribution to my sanity.:rotfl2:
