Middlebury College Language Schools: Anyone?

ever attend in Vermont? Or know someone who has. DS wants to take a 9 week course in chinese there this summer. It looks like it's quite intense with the pledge and all. I thought we were going to see him this summer, but he wants to get a jump start before fall classes start. It's a lot of money so I thought I'd take a chance and see if anyone has any opinions!

Back in my day, Middlebury had a fantastic reputation for summer language programs. It's been some time, though, and I don't know currently how good the summer language program is.

Chinese is the up and coming language, however....and I wish I had studied it instead of Russian....

Middlebury is renowned for its language schools. When I was a history major at Yale, I flirted with the idea of pursuing graduate study in the field of Chinese history. My professors recommended that I spend a summer at Middlebury studying Chinese. I ended up pursuing other interests, but Middlebury certainly seemed impressive and intense.

It does look very impressive from the website, I'm glad some of you have heard of it!!
