Mid to late September

We've gone in late September for at least 3 years. It is warm, but the crowds are very manageable. We always carry ponchos (last year on the one day that we thought it would be safe to go poncho-less, a sudden evening deluge resulted in my begging for trash bags from a janitor as I was not going to pay for new ponchos - LOL) as unexpected rain comes and goes quite a bit at that time. Yet, this is an excellent time to visit WDW.

The crowds are usually pretty low, so it's a good time to go. Some things are crowded (if the F&W Festival has started, Epcot can be crowded on the weekends) but most things have fairly low lines. I've never experienced true "walk-ons" during the September/October timeframe, but lines are fairly manageable. There are exceptions (TSM, Soarin' always have long lines starting at rope-drop, and run out of fast passes early).

Be aware that the weather can still be brutally hot. I went last year the first couple weeks of October, and they had record-high temps (mid-90s and high humidity). So even though September is not officially summer, it can be awfully hot.

We are going Sept. 11-23rd and doing MNSSHP on the 21st too! I can't wait!!! We went last year from the 19th-26th and it was hot, hot, hot! I definitely noticed a difference in the crowd level from the beginning of the trip to the end of the trip but it was also when F&W was starting so I'm sure that's why. We still had little to no waits on most rides and only had a brief rain shower one day. I am hoping for the same low crowds this year but hoping for a cold front to come in:wizard:.

Enjoy your trip! You will love the low crowds!!!

It's our very WDW vacation and my first time ever out of my country:cool1: and we looked for carefully for 'low crowds' months in the net and in books. So we choose September and Free dining with *crossing fingers* no hurricane to bother us!:) We'll be there from the 09/06 till 09/26!:yay:
And we'll do MNSSHP at the 09/14!
See you around!

(WoW! Now I've see this is my 100 post in DisBoards! Horray for me ;) )

We will be at the pop from sept 18 till the 25th we can't wait the kids don't know when we are going baby girls first trip

We've been there every time of year except for January & February and I'll tell you my favorite time is May & September b/c the weather can be just perfect and the crowds are bad.

This will be our 6th year going in September :cool1: However, we have never gone late September (18th-10/1). The first half of September crowds were always low hope the end of the month is the same.

We have been the beginning, middle and end of September. The crowds pick up noticably after the 15th or so. The beginning of September is dead compared to the end of the month. The end of September is still better than summer or holiday crowds, but definitely not dead like the first of the month.

We will be there Sept 18-24! Hope the crowds are low and the weather's nice for all of us going then!

Hey just go everyone know. There are some changes to hours and added fanstamic show in Sept. you might want to check wdwinfo website for the update info. Disney have not update their website yet. I called Disney they have confirmed the changes that are on listed on their website.

Thanks, I was afraid that would be the case but oh well, we will have a great time anyway!!! September 2011 is booked our usual earlier in the month.

Great minds do think alike. We are scheduled for September 17 2011, and have always gone this time of year. Warm to hot, occasional afternoon T-showers (about 10-20 minutes). Low Crowds, even waiting on the worst day without a fastpass we hit Haunted Mansion mid afternoon on 15 minute wait. And yes, we are doing MNSSHP as well at this time :thumbsup2

We will be there September 17-26th! :yay: This is our first trip in September and we are all very excited. We're going to MNSSHP on the 21st. Also a first for us. I can't wait!!!

When I was little we always went from middle of october till end of november i also have been at pretty much everytime except july and august as they are way too busy and hot! September through till middle of october is my fav time!

we will be doing the Mnsshp for the 1st time as our boys who are now Twins 5 and oldest 8 have always i felt been too young Im sooooo excited this time of yr is Fantastic :cool1:

we're going twice to MNSSHP. it's offered 4x during our week visit! on the days that we're not going to the party we're eating dinner at the Poly and watching the fireworks on the beach. I hope the weather is good!!! We thought we'd miss seeing Fantasmic b/c it's not on the day we planned to go but now that it is going to be on the weekend we're going!

We are headed there on 9/15 - 9/23 staying at POR. September is a great time of year. We were there the same time last year and loved it. It was crowded but totally managable. But like another poster said - get there early for TSM fast passes.

we were there sept 9-20 last year and the crowd was not issue. the longest wait time we had for anything was 10 mins. it seemed more crowded in epcot with the food and wine going on the street but it was not horrible to get around. also found the temp. was very nice. it was never too hot or humid last year. we also did the mnsshp as well. i am not sure if i would spend the money on it again. it was ok and the night time parade was nice but other then that it was nothing special for the price

We've gone right after Labor Day before and enjoyed very low crowds. This time we are going 3rd week of September - like many here - so hoping for low crowds again. But even if it's more crowded than I hoped for .....who cares cause I'll be at WDW!!!

For all of you going to the World on Sept. 21st I am so jealous, that is my birthday and I would LOVE to be there for that! Maybe once my kids are grown and out of the house I will be able to be there on my actual birthday!! We are going for my DS 5th birthday in October instead!!:cool1:

I'll be there celebrating my birthday on Sept 21st!!!
