We went in Dec 2000(the first full week)We went to the party on the Thursday night. We used the day as an off day to rest up for hte party. It was so cool as you walked down Main Street snow was flying.Toontown wasnt open but just about everything else was.We got our picture taken outside near Buzz Lightyear. There was a wait of about 10-15 minutes on the more popular rides. We did get to have our own personal Jungle Cruise(which is really cool at night)We decided to see the second parade(the parades were held at 9 and 11:15) so the rides were pretty empty while everyone was watching the first parade. The fireworks are held after the first parade(around10)Then the park really clears out.We got a seat for the second parade. After that was again more people left the park.We were able to ride Space Mountain3 times in a row.We were able to ride right up until 1am.The party was worth it to us.I was able to do alot in that 5 hours so I didnt have to worry about trying to make sure we got to ride everything we wanted in the daytime. We were also able to back for seconds of the hot chocolate and cookies(in fact the CM's were pushing people to take 3 or 4 cookies at a time,I still have have one in my freezer,LOL)There are also shows to see.The year we went there were 4(Mickey's night before Christmas, which was also shown at the park during the day,The Wild West Christmas Show at the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon,Celebrate the season near the Castle and Belle's Enchanted Christmas in Fantasyland.Disney never says how many tickets they sell but I did notice a few times while we were there, there was a sign stating the party was sold out.Hope this helps
