Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

When we went in 1999, we had 6:30 PS at CRT. We DID buy tickets to MVMCP. We were NEVER asked to show them and weren't escorted out of the park after our meal (nor were we rushed). According to some folks, this is the "secret" to staying in the park. I didn't see them ask anyone in 2003 either...

Well, things have certainly changed since then. Anyone without a wristband is escorted out. They are very organzied and very good at clearing out the park.

Back in 1999 MVMCP started at 8:00p and the park was closed for 2 hours to be cleared out, from 6:00p to 8:00p...FYI

I don't recommend attempting to stay in the park for free,

Me either! Just sharing my experience! It's not worth it to get caught to me, so I definately don't encourage it. In 2003, we did see a lot of wristbands, but since we got into the park before they were clearing out for our seating (I don't remember what time it was that year. The only reason I remember the 6:30 one is because I'm staring at the PS card..oops- my bad - that was 2001 I'm looking at. ;) ). When we left, no one checked our wrist bands. We're just honest folks and went up to the gates to get one. I did notice that they checked when doing the pictures though.

Is it only one free picture per family? My mother and I are taking a 13 yo who is not related. Since all three of us will have paid for a ticket I would want

1. A picture of Jerri by herself she could give to her mother for christmas.

2. A picture of the three of us together.

3. A picture of me and my mother together.

IS this possible?
:confused3

Well Dec 16 is our 5th anniversary and we wanted to eat at CRT for dinner but that is a Friday and it sounds like another evening would be best to attend the party. Just wanted to make sure we wouldn't have to eat really early or anything. I'm bummed they will be closing so early that night. Thanks for all the responses.

Make sure to ask when you get up there! In 2003 I went with 3 guys (1 of which is my DH). We all got seperate pics. :) They'll send you 1 in the mail and you can order more after that.

I haven't been in a few years. Have attended MVMCP like 5x though and Mickeys Not So Scary(Halloween) Party a few times. One time I went with my parents and DH & DS to MVMCP. We took *one* group shot and *I* received one photo and my *parents* received one photo.

I believe it was stated on the info when you filled out your address etc that only *one photo* per family/group is allowed. Not sure of the exact wording and can't imagine that has changed but who knows with WDW.

I believe the problem is when one family, for example, me, my DH & my DS would get a photo and expect different shots and multiple pictures when all we are entitled too is *one photo shot* and *one photo* mailed to us. When we attended all other parties with just the 3 of us we again took one shot and filled out one form to be mailed one picture.

I imagine when people start getting into wanting various shots taken that takes up more time but if you all 3 have different addresses...you, your Mom, and Jerri then *technically* you are 3 different groups. I think? :teeth:

Good luck and have a magical vacation! :wizard:

For the past 3 years that I've been they have given us one photo per ticket and they can be sent to different addresses. BUT I've never asked for more then one pose. Its possible they'll do more then one pose for one group but it would take up more time, so they may not either.

You have all convinced me that we simply must attend MVMCP. We are arriving on Dec. 17 so would be able to attend the 18th or the 20th.

There have been several mentions that the 20th would be very busy because it's the last one and that Fridays are typically busy. How busy do you think it would be on a Sunday night? Would we really have to worry about locals crowding the party or is that really only a concern on Fridays.

I am so flipping excited about this trip! I'm already ecstatic that I get to visit WDW at Christmas time and now I get to have cookies and hot chocolate on Main Street watching Santa!! Can it get any better?

We haven' been in years but have planned to go this year right after Thanksgiving. Last year we went the week before Thanksgiving and some of the Christmas decos were in place but no MVMC. So we made up our minds to go this year. Hope to see some of you there. :grouphug:

We are arriving on the exact same day and plan to attend on 12/18. I am very interested in also hearing about the answer to these questions

I asked at MNSSHP last fall if we could get a family pic and one of just the kids and they said no, you only get one shot. We did get 3 copies tho, for the 3 tix we bought.

Well, we will be there Dec.18th-26th (we're actually driving down on the 17th, but I don't know where we will stay that night)and I was debating about the 18th or the 20th. From all the posts that I've been reading, it looks like most of the DIS people who are going to be there that week are planning to go on the 18th! I think that the 18th and the 20th may both sell out. But wouldn't a crowd of 20,000 people be better than the normal crowds during the daytime that week? I'm still debating over which date. :confused3

We went to MVMCP this past year, and even though we were five paid adults, we were told only one "pose" per person, so my new husband and I could not even get in a shot with his family. I thought it was kinda cheap, considering there was NO ONE in line behind us. My suggestion is to try to take the seperate pics at different locations, and either towards the end of the night or during a parade, when the lines are basically nothing.

ok. we get to WDW on 12/18. Is it worth getting there the day before and then going to "the party" on 12/18??

Or should we go on the last day, 12/20? Anyone know if crowds are generally heavier on the last day than on other days?

The last party is a guaranteed sell out and it will be crowded.

My wife and I have been three times for the event. Once they did let us take seperate the pictures for the others with us without a problem. On the other occassions we just went to another picture station and got the pose we wanted and use another address.

fyi...last year they looked at our tickets when taking the photo and marked our tickets has having had the photo taken already. Probably to prevent people going to several photo locations for more photos...

We will be eating a big/ late lunch before entering the park and do not plan to eat at a sit resturant but will have two DS with hollow legs and bottom less pits of tummys, will we be able to get them counter service or will it just be snacks available. Another Question do they operate fast pass during the party.
Thanks

Hi, I'm thinking of book Cindy's Royal Table for the MVMCP too, on Dec. 8. I know Liberty Tree Tavern takes seatings later into the evening, but what is a good time for the Castle? 5:30?? Thanks!
