Mickey's Toontown Fair Is Gone

HA! The map I had customized still shows Mickey ToonTown Fair! I will DEFINITELY have to make sure I keep it for what used to be. Sorry I missed it though. :( One of my fav parts of MK...LOVED going there to visit my fav characters in the Judge's Tent.

I'm so happy it was still open last month for my son to see. He LOVED it, especially Minnie's house and Donald's boat. The last day of our trip it was actually pretty hot and we were wearing shorts and went over to Donald's boat and DS had such a blast running through the water.

I'm so glad that we were able to squeeze in one last trip before Toontown closed. My DD is going to be devastated the next time we go, she could spend her whole day going between the carousel, Dumbo, and Toontown.

:sad::sad: I am SO happy we were able to see it in Oct. when we were there and for making my BFF go in Mickey & Minnie's houses. She wanted to skip it since we'd already been in it, in like 1999! It was time to go in it again, for one last time. :(

Thanks to Mickey & Minnie for opening your houses for all to enjoy! & Thanks to Donald for letting everyone play on your boat. And to Pete for the facilites in your garage, and Goofy, the crazy ride on the Barnstormer was always fun. Will Miss it all VERY much! THANKS for the MEMORIES!

Thanks for sharing the link! I already posted it on my dad's facebook wall haha.

Toontown's always been a part of the MK for us, with our first visit being in 1997. With that in mind, I must say that the park map looks just plain weird!!

We were there on the 11th with our 3 y/o granddaughter. She toured the cottages, played in the park, rode the Barnstormer four times (with her arms straight up in the air) and got her face painted. We flew home that night. When she woke up on Saturday morning the first thing she said to her mom was "I went to Mickey's House!" I feel sad that I'll never be able to experience all this with my younger granddaughters.

It's not clear what will happen to the houses. There have been all kinds of rumors and speculation about their future. I read a news article shortly after the original FLE expansion, and there was a mention in it that they would be relocated, but nothing official has ever been announced. :confused3 Stay tuned.

The small booklet of maps that come with the planning dvd shows toontown ( you can see the big top etc) but no longer says "Toontown". So sad.

My family is very sad about this! It was always one of our favorite places to visit at the Magic Kingdom.

I was in the Magic Kingdom on Friday afternoon/night. It was pretty crowded there -they had announced the closing on one of the local newscasts in Orlando and I think a lot of people with annual passes came just to say goodbye. I was able to see the posts where they were going to attach the final gate closing the entrance. I also took a final walk on the path next to the train tracks that goes to Tomorrowland - one of the most peaceful walks in the park.

Well, we still have Toontown in Disneyland in California, and hopefully the new exhibits will be worth the wait. (And I also hope that they find a new home for Mickey's and Minnie's houses - they are much too cute to bulldoze down.)

Heh... noticed the path from Tomorrowland to the Toontown station was still there. It dead-ends now at the end of the Tomorrowland Label.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid questions, but now with the closure of toon town, is there no more dumbo ride , tea cup ride or carousel??

Hi. When we were there at the beginning of Jan. we made sure that we grabbed a ton of park maps so that it showed Mickeys Toon Town. Once the maps change, they old ones become a piece of Disney history. So save those old Magic Kingdom maps!:goodvibes
