Mickey's Toontown Fair Is Gone

I told my kids about this last night while watching the new disney travel channel show. They were so upset about Barnstormer! I didn't even realize they liked it that much. I explained it will eventually be back but that didn't help them much since we are going in Sept. and then probably not for a few more years.....

My DD is going to cry when we get there. This is a surprise trip, not telling them until the day of, and ALL she talked about after the last trip was Goofy's Barnstormer. She kept saying "it drives me crazy mommy!". She's not quite 40" yet so this was her ride! So sad!

Man, it was PACKED that last night! I have never taken so long to get through Minnie's house! We are sad to say goodbye to Toon Town but look forward to the new magic coming our way when the expansion is completed!

We are going in June. What can I expect. Will there be another meet and greet place for Mickey? And what about meet and greet tinker bell? Will that be effected?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid questions, but now with the closure of toon town, is there no more dumbo ride , tea cup ride or carousel??

All of those rides are in FANTASYLAND. Eventually Dumbo will be moved and expanded at what was once Toontown as part of the Fantasyland expansion, but for now, it's still right where it was.

I'm guessing that by June Mickey & Minnie's new M&G spot in Exposition Hall will be open. Tink in moving to Epcot for now and she'll be joined by her fairy friends in DHS in the near future. No dates have been announced, tho.

Hi. When we were there at the beginning of Jan. we made sure that we grabbed a ton of park maps so that it showed Mickeys Toon Town. Once the maps change, they old ones become a piece of Disney history. So save those old Magic Kingdom maps!:goodvibes

We were there 1/30-2/6 and I did the same thing. I did it for scrapbook and framing purposes but I, for some reason, never thought that it would be my last chance to have this on the map. So glad I did. :sad1: This was the girls' first trip on the Barnstormer and their first roller coaster. DH rode with them since I'm pregnant and they loved it! We're not planning to return until next January so I'm curious to see what all has changed when we get back.

If you are there now and still want a map with Toontown, ask in the information building to the left of the entrance at Magic Kingdom (as you enter main street, next to the bathrooms). They had some in the back there.
