Hello!! :wave2:

Can I ask....

are thee super cuties out and about at MNSSHPs?

wdwnss03.jpg

I NEED to meet pumpkin Donald, but if I can meet him AND princess Daisy it'd make my year!

That's about the cutest thing I've seen in a while! Anyone know if Donald appears like this with or without Daisy???? If so, where was he??????

I do think it stinks that you can't meet Mickey and Minnie together. I'd rather wait twice as long to see them together than to wait through 2 lines and end up with separate pictures!

BOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!

Lets try something out....

What do you do for dinner when attending the MNSSHP?

Thanks

We had an interesting experience last year. We ate a late lunch with the plan to pick up something quick in the park whenever we got hungry.

We started getting hungry around 8 or so and decided to poke around for food. We popped into Pinochio's Village Hause and the place looked deserted. The doors were open and the lights were on, so we went on in.

What we found out was that the inside was not operating (though you could apparently go in there to sit and eat if you so desired. Instead, they were selling hotdogs out of a cart just outside. And the hotdogs were going fast! As soon as we got in line, someone started asking how many hot dogs everyone wanted to make sure they didn't make extras.

There wasn't much to choose from. They had hotdogs, bottled water and vitamin water. That was it. As soon as we placed our order, we were told the hotdogs would be about 5 minutes and asked to sit down somewhere. A few minutes later, an employee started walking around with hot dogs asking who still needed them.

The whole operation was very disorganized. No one seemed to be in charge. They quickly ran out of hot dogs and some of the orders had not been filled. Rather than make more hot dogs, they gave refunds to anyone who didn't get one. (Fortunately, we got ours. And maybe we were just hungry, but they were awesome!)

I'm all about not wasting expensie party time. So even though all heck broke out last time, I'd definitely do counter service again.

Ok...so at what time do you think I should have dinner in Tony's?
I really wanted to go to the resort and rest and then come back...
what do you guys think??

Im super duper excited....

Surprisingly, food can be a challenge on party nights. Some counter service locations stay open kind of late, but time gets away from you when you're racing from one fun thing to the next. Pretty soon it's 11 pm and realize you're hungry, and can't find a thing to eat!

So plan accordingly, eat a hearty meal early, and carry a few snacks!

So I'm debating this whole costume thing. Does MK sell MNSSHP merchandise, like fun halloween headbands and shirts and whatnot? Or should i just make something?:confused3

I wanted to buy a MVMCP t-shirt last year, but the merchandise only comes out DURING the party. And when we got to the shop, it was so packed we could barely get in the door. The line wound all the way to the back of the store.

I highly suggest having something WITH you!

Regarding eating before the party....you will get many different views.

I've been to many parties and here's my opinion. :)

I like to eat between 4:30p - 6:00p. I am not a fan of counter service while at the party and I prefer eating a good sit down mean before the official start of the party at a restaurant inside MK.

Although you can get in after 4:00p with just your party ticket and many enjoy taking advantage of that and do rides and then eat at a counter service place during the party, that is not what we do.

We always make an ADR in MK anywhere between 5:00p and 6:00p, but usually around 5:30p. That way we are done a bit before the official start of the party. :thumbsup2

I've tried eating outside the park (at 5:30p at CM in the Cont) and that just made me feel rushed and we were late for the party. I much prefer eating in MK.

Good luck deciding.

Thank you! I fear that would be what would happen to me! So I'm thinking I might just make myself a fun headband or something!

There was some merch, but I was disappointed in the variety and quality of it. I really wanted a T-shirt. But the only official party shirts were glow-in-the-dark. I figured those would wear out in a week.

I did buy a general Halloween T-shirt which was nice enough. But I was surprised by how few choices there were.

Just wanted to add that I've always waited for the second parade (while we're holding our spot, before the parade ) to get my MNSSHP/MVMCP souveniers/shirt. Granted some of the popular sizes go but I have always been able to get the shirt I wanted.

So I think you will be able to get a shirt, but you may have to wait if the line is long but you could always go back or try elsewhere; They sell them usually in more than one location. Just don't wait too long if you are worried about your size being gone.

This thread is so helpful! I think we're going to go September 29th (waiting until closer to the date to decide). I'm so excited -- last year, we unknowingly visited MK right before closing on a party night, and DH practically had to pick me up and drag me out of there because I wanted to stay so badly! I do have a few questions, though...

1. Aside from Snow White, are the other princesses out and about during the party? DD is 3.5 and, of course, eager to meet them. I think we should have them covered with character meals, but just in case...

2. Which characters are at the dance parties? Frankly, I'm looking forward to those the most.

3. I've never been to a parade at WDW before -- do you need to be on main street to see it, or does it wind through other parts of the park? How loud is it?

4. We're planning to eat a late lunch at the resort before heading to MK around 4:30 that day, then we'll buy snacks at the bakery right before the park closes so we'll have something to eat later that night if we're hungry. Does this sound like a reasonable plan?

5. Any chance Abu and/or the Genie would be around? DD is dying to meat them, as well. Otherwise, does anyone know if/where they can be found in the parks during normal days?

1. I saw Cinderella and Aurora in Toontown, and Jasmine in Adventureland

2. I believe the Tremaines are at the Grotto one, and not sure who is at the Cosmic Rays one (last time I was there it was Pluto, Donald, and Stitch).

3. The parade runs from Frontierland to Main Street (also going through Liberty Square). Anywhere in between is fine.

4. That sounds like a good plan

5. I believe Genie and Abu should be there. They were there when I went to MNSSHP.

Are you going to other parks before the party?
The Mousegears shop in Epcot always has some halloween t-shirts around that time of year.

It's for anyone.

The line will be very long because it's free and popular. You can try to get in the line before 7:00p and hope it won't take too long.

There were two locations; one right over the bridge in Adventureland and the other in Toontown.

Thanks for the answer. We'll all be wearing our Mickey antennae (headband with springy mickey heads attached) so it would look cute to have face painting too.

There's four of us and I'll tell you it was hard finding all four colors of antennae - turquoise, pink, purple & black - but I went to dtd and to the CBR resort yesterday and got them!

To answer the question about dining, we're planning to go to the Wave for an early dinner (and a drink!) before the party.

The Tremaines host the dance party in Fantasyland at the Christmas Party, and it's a LOT of fun!

I think the Halloween party has more variety. I think I've heard of Chip and Dale being there, among others. We can't wait to give this one a try!

The princesses are usually in Toontown with their princes at both the Halloween AND Christmas Parties.

Elvis Stitch usually hosts a dance party inside of Cosmic Ray's.
