To those who have been, how busy is it the end of September? I'm hoping to get in one day of Disney while we are at Universal.:earsgirl:

I know this is kind of a threadjack and I apologize....but I just HAD to say it....

To mom2rtk,

I looked at the photos in your Flickr account and I have to say that.....hands down....you are one of the greatest mothers Ive ever seen in my life. The time, attention, detail, and love that you put into making your daughters dreams and wishes come true go above and beyond any parent I have ever met. I did not have a daughter (had 2 boys) and I just welled up with happy tears when looking at those photos.

Your daughter is absolutely beautiful and you have used your talent to help fulfill her dreams of being any and every princess she could ever hope to be. You can not only see the happiness in her eyes when looking at those photos....but you can feel it.

I know there are MANY great parents on these boards who do all they can for their children......and Im not taking away from them......but I felt that you really should be commended on going the extra mile. Im sure to you its just "normal" but to someone like me......I see a parent who will go to whatever length is necessary to make their child happy. I don't even know you and it was just a delight looking at all those photos.

Your daughter will have life long memories of all the happiness you gave her.....and when she is older she will understand all the hard work you undertook to make it happen.

I am just amazed by you. I really am. IMO, you are the epitomy of how we should all strive to be when raising our children. Find whatever talent we have.....and use it to make precious memories with our kids.

Thank you for sharing your album with me. I swear I think Im a better parent simply from viewing it.

Well, aren't you sweet. Some people call it good parenting, some call it a sickness. It's all in the eye of the beholder..... :) (And you don't want to know what my 2 teenage boys call it.....)

Regardless, my daughter and I have built some special memories together and your kind comments are greaty appreciated.

Just what I needed to keep me going after doing hand to hand combat all weekend with a pink Ariel ballgown!

We probably won't dress up, but I would like to maybe get face painting for the party.

I heard they have it during the party...

For face painting during the party,

is it only for kids?

how long is the line?

how much does it cost?

where can I find it?

And if we'd like to do it before the party, where are the locations in MK where we can pay for face paiting?

Can anyone answer this for me?

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

Yeah I think face painting is probably the next best thing to dressing up. We might also wear our mickey antennae - I'm getting one for everybody in different colors :wizard:

I got my tickets for Nov 1. Yay! I was wondering if they scale down the party for the last day or if it is presented the same as if it were the first day? Has anyone attended the last day of the event in the past?

I was wondering the same thing. Our AP expire on October 30 and since we will still be at WDW I thought about going to the last MNSSHP. Anybody have any thoughts on the Nov 1 party?

It's for anyone.

The line will be very long because it's free and popular. You can try to get in the line before 7:00p and hope it won't take too long.

There were two locations; one right over the bridge in Adventureland and the other in Toontown.

If we get a ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern, is it a character dinner meal? I know when we went to the MVMCP and ate there is was. We have not been to MNSSHP and are not sure..smjj

I don't think so. There haven't been characters there for a while now. I don't think they will bring them back just for the party, unfortunately.

Right - they eliminated characters at LTT in January of this year. With all the cost cutting going on, there's little chance that they'll be back for a while.

What do you think I should do for Dinner.....???

I'm going that night myself. Have Ressie at Crystal Palace at 5pm. Doing AK that day then heading over. CAn't wait for my first trip.

This thread has been so helpful. I went to the P&P party 2 years ago and it was so much fun.

Are most of you (especially those going in September) buying your tix in advance?

I'm debating on buying tix in advance though because as much as I would like to go, I know I'll be miserable standing in the rain.

We are going to the 1st party and CANNOT wait. We have an ADR at Crystal Palace for dinner. We did the last time we went to the party back in 2001 and it worked out great. Have fun when you go.

Thats a shame, we went to LTT three times during our MVMCP's and the characters made it very special for the kids and grandkids. I wish they would think of different ways to cut cost without taking away an very popular and fun experience..smjj

Hello!! :wave2:

Can I ask....

are thee super cuties out and about at MNSSHPs?

wdwnss03.jpg

I NEED to meet pumpkin Donald, but if I can meet him AND princess Daisy it'd make my year!

Lets try something out....

What do you do for dinner when attending the MNSSHP?

Thanks

1. Is the party less crowded during the week (say on a Tuesday or Thursday) than it is on a Friday night?

Last year, we went on a Tuesday in late Sept (don't remember the actual date) and the park cleared out shortly after the party started. No idea what Fridays were like.

2. Is it better to get a ticket on May 1st or can I wait a little while to purchase?

I see no advantage to waiting. But unless you are looking for a ticket around Halloween, I don't think it's too pressing.

(Since today is June 24, that question is kind of moot, huh.)

3. Are there alot of characters available for meet & greets? Where are most of the characters stationed?

I wouldn't say a lot.

My daughter was actually scared of the characters last year, so we kind of walked past them. But I remember seeing Captain Hook and Smee near Pirates, Baloo and King Louis near the Jungle Cruise, some characters from Alice in Wonderland near the Tea Party...

Um, Goofy was walking around Frontierland. and we saw Mickey and Donald hanging out on Main Street.

That's all I remember, but like I said we were actively avoiding characters when we went.

4. Should I plan to book an early ADR inside the park on the day of a party?

The reason we did the party was that it was cheaper than a full day admission. I'm not sure it's worth burning a full day admission and staying for the party.

We had a late lunch outside the parks and snacked during the party. It was economical and let us make the most of our time at the party.

5. Is this party worth doing twice in one trip?

Potentially, yes. There were no lines when we were there. I mean none. We literally walked on every attraction. And the parade and fireworks dispaly are worth seeing. But I certainly would not burn two full day admissions plus two party admissions!

6. Where is the best place to view the parade & fireworks?

I'll defer to someone else. We kind of watched them from wherever we happened to be when they started. Since the park was so empty, there wasn't much of a need to fight for a good spot.

7. Are there alot of rare characters out for meet & greet?

See earlier character question.

From what I have read of previous years, they have reduced the number of characters available.

8. Is it worth trick or treating if you are a solo adult?

Well, the candy was no big deal. It's mostly cheap stuff. But it takes very little effort from you to get it, so why not. We snakced on the candy bag for the rest of our trip.
