Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party here we come!

Weight Watchers is a very good program, foods have point values based on fiber, calories, and fat content. For example, broccoli (no butter or oil) is 0 points. You can purchase books with restaurant foods and their points values.
A McDonald's Big Mac is 13 points.

You are given a limited number of points per day based on how much you weigh and how active you are. Throughout the day you journal what you eat and how many points. There is also a weekly points allowance for special occasions, or days where you are feeling hungry. You can earn more points for exercise as well. No foods are off limits, but if you aren't careful you can use up your points for the day quickly. Then you can eat vegetable soup for dinner.

Meetings and weigh ins provide support and accountability. Or you can sign up online and follow the program completely from home.

I second that...WW is how I took off baby weight from Aisling...and then some! Problem is sticking with it :headache:

You don't have to buy any books...The points for almost every chain restaurant in the US is on this site

All day Sunday it rained and rained. . .

The rain, rain, rain
came
down, down, down,
in rushing, rivers. . .

Sunday night it got worse, thunder and lightening were added to the mix, a lot of thunder and lightening. We were jolted out of our sleep many times through the night by loud booming thunder. The dogs were terrified by the weather and didn't want to go outside.

At about 4:30 I woke up and used the bathroom and the toilet made a weird sound. I tried to turn on the faucet in the bathroom . . . no water. I looked out the window, the street lights were out and the neighbors houses were dark. We had electricity, so I went downstairs and turned on the tv. Overnight we had received over 12 inches of rain, we have had rain everyday for at least a week and it had rained a lot all day Sunday. The Weather Channel says our county received over 16 inches of rain in the last 2 days.

The water started to trickle, but we have to boil it before we can drink it. I am not sure if I can run the dishwasher. I have been able to use the washing machine so that has been helpful. I am watching my niece while her parents are working. The road to her regular babysitters house has a 8 foot gap in it. So they can't get out of their neighborhood and no one can get in.

There is a lot more rain headed our way and it is storming right now.
We are trying to keep our heads up above water here. If you are watching the weather channel and you see reports about Douglas County that is where I am at.

Waiting to hear if school will be closed tomorrow.

Yikes!

You did mention when you posted on my report that school was closed for two days... seems wise!

Good luck! :umbrella:

The kids are still out of school, we are still having to boil water so we are using bottled water to drink and to cook with. Thankfully we have enough water pressure to take showers, and wash clothes and dishes.

The kids are supposed to go back to school Monday. It sure has been an odd week. When the county's schools are closed then my preschool is closed as well so I didn't have work. But because my niece's regular sitter was stranded in her neighborhood with no way in or out I watched her and despite my protests, he paid us.

Monday was bad, Tuesday the flooding got worse. I-20 and I-285 were closed because of flooding from the Chattahoochee River, and Sweetwater Creek, one elementary school ended up with water up to the roof. Ron couldn't get into Atlanta on Tuesday so he couldn't get to work. Yesterday they reopened I-20 and he was able to make it into Atlanta.

But thankfully, we haven't had any more rain so far. It may rain on Saturday.

:goodvibes:goodvibesToday the mailman brought our travel documents for our trip!! New Luggage Tags!:dance3: I love Disney Mail, I also got our Disney Movie Club catalogs, I selected three movies, Lilo and Stitch, Ichabod and Mr Toad, and Fun and Fancy Free. Perfect for Disney Family Movie Nights, which we didn't have last night because we went to my Sister in Law's house so the kids could play together. Her kids are out of school too.

It does sound like you had a long week. . . I'm hoping you're done with all that rain!

Hooray for the Mickey Mail! (And the movies, too!) :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Watch out for that Headless Horseman!!

Things are getting back to normal around here. Yesterday they lifted the boil water advisory! Which is very reassuring. The kids went back to school this morning! Tomorrow I go back to work!

Today I will be cutting fabric. I have many outfits planned for our trip plus a couple pirate costumes so I have a lot of work a head of me. It is easier to cut everything in one day then sit down at the machine.

I better get to work. . .

We have less than a month until we arrive at our resort so I want to share a few pictures from our first trip as a family in March 2005.

Abby was 4 years old and Ethan was 9 months old.

Ethan got his first haircut in the Magic Kingdom Barber Shop

While we were there they put Abby's hair up and added blue gel and lots of "Pixie Dust"

She was already wearing her Cinderella Dress, then we went to eat dinner at Cinderella's Castle.

She loved the chocolate crown she had for desert.

While we were there It's a Small World had been closed for refurbishing. That night they reopened it for a short time. I love that ride and that night it was so beautiful. Ethan fell asleep and I put him in the sling, Ron took my picture as we walked up the ramp exiting the ride.

They sure grow up fast! That was only 4 1/2 years ago. Now he is a big Kindergartner and Abby is in Third Grade.

Is it true the princes are in toontown with the princesses or is it closed like Tinkerbell?

2. Are the stepsisters and stepmother at the Halloween party?

3. Are the dance parties worth going to?

We leave in 2 weeks

We leave in 2 weeks

1) The Princes are sometimes out for the parties but it's not guarenteed

2) Yes, the Tremaines are out by the castle

3) Totally worth checking them out for a little bit. There is so much to do at MNSSHP, it's hard to get it all in (especially if you eat and/or ride rides). Know that you won't be able to do it all and try to get to MK at 4pm (when they allow you in with costume) and get dinner/rides out of the way before 7pm. That way at 7pm you can start the party activities right away!

I need to make our Pirate shirts. Instead, I am cutting out a Belle Dress for the Big Give.

I had planned on sewing some on Friday but my SIL asked me to babysit her kids for the whole day. The good part of that is that she pays well, so I may end up buying Ethan a costume. DH can wear his shirt he wore before and I can sew myself a shirt I have a black skirt to wear, I wonder if I should make a sash, I also am considering buying a hat for myself. Add buttons to DH's vest, buy him a fake sword and we are ready to go.

I'm trying to make up my mind about a pirate hat... although I already purchased two ostrich feathers for it! :lmao:
