Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central!

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DIS luvmk:earsboy:

Hello fellow Hoosier...I grew up in Indiana!

Anyway the parade times are 8:30pm and 10:30pm.The later parade is usual less crowded. The Headless Horseman rides the entire parade route about 10 min. prior to the start of the parade.

The Spooky Autograph Book sounds fun!

We've seen alot of Villians in the past...Hag from SW(she IS scarey looking!),Wicked Queen from SW,Radcliffe,Big Bad Wolf,Frollo,Gaston,Brer Bear,Brer Fox,Capt Hook,Jafar,Queen of Hearts,Cruella are the ones Erich and I can think of right now.

Others we have seen are Pooh,,Tigger,Eyeore,Piglet,Mickey,Minnie,Goofy,Pluto,Chip and Dale,Aladdin,Jasmine,Alice,Mad Hatter,BrerRabbir,BALOO,King Louie,Snow White and 7 Dwarfs,Cindy and her 2 mice,Buzz,Woody and Jessie.

The characters are ALL over the MK that night. We've seen alot of Villians as we entered the MK in the little park area on the end of Main St. Cindy's coach and her crew are behind the castle...I think we saw Belle,Beast and Sleeping Beauty back there too.Out front of the Castle on the hub there has been characters before too.

In Advetureland there's a DJ spinning tunes and Baloo,Rafiki,King Louie. We run into the Brer gang around Spalsh Mt.Around the teacups Alice and her crew.Tomorrowland Buzz ,Woody etc. Fantasyland has a special area for Pooh's bunch. And various others have been spotted in Fantasyland!

Just keep you eyes open you'll be sure to find them!

Happy Haunting!

Thank you everyone for the information! This has been very helpful. Both of my children have autograph books, but wanted to do them again, so I'm trying to think of a way to make it different. The villians will be perfect for this. I'm so excited!!:) We're planning on the second parade. Ds7 has already been reading books on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. We have to make sure we get a good seat now!:) It sounds like a great time. This thread has been great. Thanks!

just wanted to show an awesome pic from Mickey's not so scary halloween party, to us it was worth every penny!

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DIS Hulabaloo!! :earsboy:

What an absolutely precious picture!!!

Are you attending MNSSHP this year?

Thank you for sharing!

This may have been answered elsewhere in the thread and if so, I apologise but I couldn't see it on a quick trawl through the pages. We have tickets for MNSSHP on the 19th. Our plan was to spend the morning at another park, go back to the resort for lunch and a swim and head to MK for about 3.30 or 4pm, staying in until MNSSHP and having something to eat at somewhere like Cosmic Ray's at about 5.30 to 6pm.

Is this possible? Will we be allowed in at 3.30 to 4pm if we don't has a PS reservation? (We have regular tickets as well as the MNSSHP ones). Can we then stay in the MK until the party starts as long as we get a wristband? Will places be open for food between 6pm and 7pm other than sit down restaurants?

Any advice appreciated.

K.

Hello KEH. I'll also be there on the 19th! Hope to see you there. We are going to have a little meet that night if you want to check out this link. Feel free to join us!!!!

Yes, you will be allowed in the park that afternoon. You will have to get a wristband before the party starts though. I think most counter service restaurants will be open from 6 - 7. But someone else on here, probably Baloo, will know for sure.

baloo,

we will be attending the Christmas Party this year and we just can't wait!

Thanks
Hulabaloo

Great picture Hulabaloo. That helped make my decision final. We are going on the 31st crowded as it may be. We are doing the DCL Magic on Nov 1 so everyone will be very tired driving to the port but since we have never done WDW at Halloween we figured it would be worth it.
BTW I just purchase the tickets tonight and more were available.

DIS4ME.

Glad we could influence your decision, that was truly the highlight of our trip last October, it even beat the 2 visits to the Tommy Bahma Outlets for me, and I'm a bigger Tommy nut than I am Disney!

Have a great time, and take plenty of pictures, make sure you catch Donald, we missed him :( , but it sure was a great time!

like I said before, it is worth every penny and then some in my opinion, we are considering going to Mickey's Christmas 2 nights!

Enjoy!

Hulabaloo,

Ya'll will thoroughly enjoy the Christmas Party! The 'snow' on main street was truely magical. The little one will love it. Everything is detail, detail, detail....the Mickey Wreaths and Christmas trees at each park make it very special. Visit Donald's Tree Lot (to the left as you enter Main Street next to City Hall). He was there for pics with a jacket, winter cap and lots of trees.

Have a blast at WDW! (we ALWAYS do!)

Tell me I'm not that crazy to take a 3 yr old on Halloween night. We fly in early that morning and plan to just hang around the hotel that day and rest. But I changed the airline tickets so we can go. But now I'm stressing because everyone is talking about how crowded the 31st is. Did I make a big booboo by getting tickets that night??

Hello! The 31st is more crowded than the rest of the nights BUT you have to remember that there are a limited amount of tickets that are sold for this event which means it is not even close to a crowd on a normal day. The park also tends to thin out a lot after the 1st parade so you may want to try to encourage a late nap(for everyone!) and enter the park a little bit later. I have gone on the 31st many times and have found that this works well.
Have fun!!!

cheeringmom...dizney dreamin' is right! Before Erich was in school we went on or the MNSSHP right before Halooween night. Also at that time there were only 3 or 4 MNSSHP.Now it's up to 10!Although it probably will be more crowded than some of the other ones this year you are NOT crazy! :D If your 3 year old (and you!!) gets a nap y'all ought to be able to make it through the entire party...Erich always did! :)

It's true that after the 1st parade and the fireworks the park clears out.In years past the last half and hour we could get on several rides really quickly! We've been known to ride SPL MT 4 times in a row not having to get out of our log!

KEH...I'm not sure about the counter servicebeing open,I'll check that out this week for you.chellnjr was correct about the other stuff.

We went Halloween night last year and it was very crowded BUT we knew that going in and just went with the flow and it turned out fine.

We did the photo right away and had no wait. We did Haunted Mansion right away too and had no wait. Then it got more crowded...wall to wall people but the trick or treat lines go VERY fast. So don't worry about that. And my opinion on wall to wall is based on going off season. I cannot compare it to Summer or holidays.

We still had a wonderful time and couldn't imagine being anywhere else on Halloween but we certainly couldn't do as many rides as we could during the day but to tell you the truth, we didn't try. We did the trick or treating most of the night and the 2nd parade and the fireworks and we were happy. Maybe other parts of the park's rides weren't as bad but Fantasyland was very busy.

We've done MVMCP twice and it does die down alot for the second parade and thereafter but Halloween night was very different. It was still very packed for the second parade BUT we were still able to get a seat about 1/2 hour before it started which is pretty much impossible at the first parade so it's still not as bad as the first parade. Then after the 2nd parade, the park was clearing out like crazy so I'll bet the rides and trick or treat stands at that time were great!

I just wanted to give you an honest answer to how Hallween night was for us last year. Great fun! We are going again next year for Halloween night so it couldn't have been that bad! Just more crowded than I'm used to. That's all. Still GREAT fun!

Hope I didn't scare you more! Let me know if you have anymore questions...;)

Thank you all for the insight! Tickets are bought so we are definatley going!! We were originally flying out the 1st but after reading this thread, I changed the tickets. Hopefully we won't be too excited about being in the world that we can't calm down for a nap. Thanks again for your advice and help! Can't wait!! pam:bounce:

DD wants to be a Cheetah for Halloween. Since we'll be at Animal Kingdom earlier in the day, I thought it would be cool to have her face painted.
How well would that stay on (through a nap and the rest of the evening)?

My DS had his face painted as Tigger a couple of years ago and it stayed on well. Thunder Mountain destroyed it. Wet will kill it. I'm not sure about the nap though. If she moves around a lot she may smear some or rub some off.

Just thought someone might want to know this. I had PS for 5:25 at Crystal Palace on the 30th before MNSSHP. I had wanted LTT but was told it was all booked a couple of weeks ago. I thought I would try again hoping someone might of cancelled. I was asked by the CM if I was going to the party. I said yes and she gave me my choice of times to pick from. Apperently the CM has to click on the MNSSHP box on their computer and it will let them access tables that they couldn't get doing it the reg. way. I ended up with 5:00 PS for LTT on the 30th which is excectly what I wanted. She also said with the ticket to the MNSSHP and the PS # for dinner I would be allowed into the park without using one of my days on my park hopper ticket.

Just thought this might help someone.:)

I also just called for LTT reservations for 10/30. 4 adults & 2 kids and got 5:05 with no problem. I would rather eat at CP, but was told I would not be able to make PS at CP using only my MNSSHP ticket as admission, and would need to use park admission ticket in order to get in to CP.

Does this sound right? I was also told that Minnie & Friends would be in halloween costumes at LTT. Does anyone know if that is also the case at CP?
