Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

This will be my first time at WDW for the Halloween Party. I will be in Disney Thurs. 28th thru Nov. 1. I was going to go to the party naturally on Oct. 31 but after reading some of this thread, would anyone comment if they think it would be way less crowded if I went on Thurs or Fri night?? Also, since the party is not on that Sat. 10/30, does that mean the MK is open later that night to the general public?? Thanks for any tips you can share.

Sorry if I am looking for info that has already been posted, but...

We are looking to go to MNSSHP on 10/12. That night the park closes at 6:00pm and the party starts at 7:00pm. I thought I saw a while back that you can get in with your MNSSHP tix at about 5:00pm. Is this correct, and if it is, how do the CM's know you can stay?

Thanks!

Thanks for the update madsmom! I know the hours could always change back but that was a nice surprise!

:)

We bought our tickets, we're going on the 3rd. Dinner at 5:20 CP! Yipee!

They will give you a wristband in exchange for your tickets so that is how they know.

In looking back through the posts, I don't think I have gottena reply to my question about the music yet. Does anyone know what the music is that they play at the start of the parade when Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore and Piglet start the parade in costume? It is infectious music, and I wish to buy it. I looked while down there and there was no CD or anything, just wondered if it might be "real" music and not "Disney" music, if you know what I mean.

Anybody?

Just wondering if the MNSSHP tickets that you receive in the mail look any different than the tickets you would purchase/pick up at MK?

We attended MNSSHP last October for the first time (our 7th trip to WDW). What a night!! We went on 31 October and when we arrived, there was a notice up saying 'SOLD OUT'. We thought it would be packed out but it wasn't. The longest queue was about 10 minutes for Thunder Mountain. Splash Mountain had NO queue! We loved it so much we are going back this year on 31 October again! We ate before going in the Park last year and will do the same again as we didn't want to sit in a restaurant and miss anything - the time flies! Fantastic night!!!

What time should we get there? We'll want to go back to our resort to change and eat before heading out for MNSSHP. Thanks!

And...
Do they send you a schedule of events with the tickets, or no? Is a schedule released before the event or do they just hand you out something when you get there?
What about a list of rides that are open?

Wishes... Will the fireworks show be Wishes since it is not running earlier that night or no? (Just wondering if we will catch it another night.)

Thanks!

Link to 2003 schedule.

No they do not send a schedule of events. You can look at last years and you can pick up a special MNSSHP map at the entrance to the party that night.

Last year, it was FITS Fireworks. Not Wishes but it was new last year so we'll see.

Thanks beattyfamily.

Around what time do people start strolling in? Is 6:00 OK? Do you go to certain spots to get armbands like E-Ride?

IMHO, anytime between 4:00p and 6:00p or after 7:00p is good but the park will be closed between 6 and 7 so I do not think you will be able to enter then.... I usually eat in the park while it's closed for that hour between 6 and 7.

I've gotten my wristbands at the entrance on my way in and also at the restaurants I've eaten in. There will be CMs scattered around MK to give them out to those who already in MK before 4:00p...like in front of the Castle and at City Hall.

Interesting. Glad I asked this, I might need to change our plans around a little. So no one is admitted between 6 and 7, but if you're already in there you can stay. Rides will be closed that hour, but restaurants are open. What about counter service?

I had just called to make ressies for a late lunch at MGM, then I thought we'd go back to our resort to change, then head on over to MK.

Maybe we should take a nap too and then just head over around 7. I would hate to get there right before 6 and they not let us in so we just sit and wait.

I'm assuming all PSs for any MK restaurant around that pre time will be booked for the 3rd by this point?

Is there a list anywhere of who is going when? My sister and I are going on the 3rd and have ressies at the CP at 5:25.
Also, if we get done dinner early can we ride any of the rides or do we just have to wait in front of the restaurant until 7pm?

Between 6 and 7 if you are not eating in a restaurant, they will ask you to wait in Tomorrowland so they can clear out the rest of the park. Those rides will be open. There will be some fast food open like Cosmic Rays for that hour but after 7:00p more fast foods will be open.

I think you should get there before 6 or after 7.

The 3 times I ate before the party (2 at CP and once at LTT) my PS were between 5:00 and 5:30 and all 3 times they had us wait right in front of the restaurant. We couldn't leave the area.

But I think if you finished really early (like if your PS was 4:00 or 4:30) and you were done by 6:00p, they would then send you to Tomorrowland to wait for the start of the party.

if you look on www.wdisneyw.co.uk there is a link for MNSSHP (or a search option) which lists what rides are open, where the best trick or treat spots are etc. We arrived at 6pm (an hour earlier than the ticket says) and we got in no bother. You are given a wrist band for party ID. On arrival everybody (not just the kids!) is given a trick or treat bag. It really is not a night to be missed! A word of warning - if you go NOT dressed up in fancy dress gear, you will be the odd one out!!!! Any fancy dress goes - not just halloween types. ENJOY!
