Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

Just how many adults (parents) are dressed up for the party? Don't want to feel foolish in costume but don't want to feel left out by not dressing up, either. This is our 1st MNSSHP on the 12th.

This is our first party, too. . .but we're dressing up. All of us, and my husband (who usually would never do something so "silly") has also agreed to! I bought us all togas--really nice ones, all different.

I'm SO EXCITED!

You guys are gonna have a great time. Last year, we saw a whole family dressed up like Mouseketeers from the 1950's. The White turtlenecks with their names and the ears. They looked fantastic!

Don't forget to go the the Boardwalk near EPCOT on Halloween. There is trick-or-treating there, too.

Have a blast!

Hi.... which would you do (we are going to MNSSHP on oct 17th):
The LTT for 4:30, but they said they had to split us up(me, DH, and 3 kids) into two tables and not nessessarily together:(....or eat at the CP at 5:25.....do you think that if i get to the LTT a little ahead they would try to get us at least in two tables together or do you think there would be a good chance that they would get us a table together once we get there OR do i just do CP ... are the reservations in these places seated on time or could there be somewhat of a wait...i am worried that 5:25 might run into the start of the party if the seating is actually later than that...please let me know what you think....:earsgirl:

IMHO, I'd go to CP at 5:25p and not worry so much about LTT and the tables.

I think 5:25p is a very good time. I'm quite sure you'll be done in plenty of time for the start of the party.

I've done dinner before parties 4 times now and my PS has always been between 5:00 and 5:30 and I've always been done before 7:00p.

Here's a few ideas I had at the beginning of this thread on some easy costumes.

scull.gif
Quick, easy to pack costumes.
scull.gif

101 Dalmations...White shorts/pants and t-shirts and go to town with spots! Ears could be made out of felt or craft foam on ball caps (esp for the guys) or maybe headbands for the ladies.

Mickey Mouse Club...Red pants, mouse ears,t-shirts with each ones name on it.:earsboy::earsgirl:

Baseball players...Your favorite team's jersey/t-shirt and a ball cap, shorts or sweats and sneakers.

Hippies...Tye dyed shirt, round framed glasses, beads, peace sign jewlery, jeans or a long skirt and sandals.

Pirate... Easy and light weight too.Black shorts or capris, striped shirt, bandana,an eye patch,a hoop earring and there ya go....arrrrrrrrrrgh matey!pirate:

MrsJackSparrow...you won't feel left out either way you go! There are alot of adults not in costume ,some just wearing Halloween shirts or colors or your normal "I'm at WDW" clothes! !.

I am LOVING hearing about everyone's costumes! We won't have DSS Jon this year but DS Erich wants to be Legolas (sp?) from Lord of the Rings. I keep telling him a wig will be soooo hot in Florida! I'm not sure if or what Joe and I will wear.

We are going to our first MNSSHP on the 31st. We called for ps and were told LTT first available for our family of five was 8:30. The CM said that Crystal Palace was not going to be open for dinner that night and their latest availability was 4:15, which we took. Does anyone happen to know if we will be served their lunch or dinner buffet? DH is a peeled shrimp nutcase and I would like to start the evening off with him in a nongrumpy slump. :p Thanks Beth

You will be served dinner then. LTT is the only restaurant open during the actual party AFTER 7:00p thru like 10:00p BUT CP, the Castle and Tony's will be open for PS till 6:00p.

This may have already been addressed on this thread but if so, I haven't found it yet. We have just this week started planning a trip for halloween wkend. We have made resort res. but everything is still up in the air. My mother is very ill and I am afriad to plan to much ahead. What are the chances of getting tickets for MNSSHP for 10/31? Are they already sold out or will they sell out before our trip? We have never been in Oct., so I have no experience with the event and up until now, have not been paying attention to any info on it.

Yes, it will sell out, probably by Sept. It's not sold out yet.

Thank you for the idea of the coach and football player. That will get my husband to go out and get new polo, which I am sure he will like. and i can get a new pair of capri yoga pants! :)

I was wondering if fast pass is available on the night of MNSSHP?
We are going on the 31st and am starting to worry about crowds and not getting on attractions. Any info will help, thanks!

We are going the 31st PS CP at 5:40 can't wait. Friends of ours had to cancel they have 4 tickets to the party I see they are not refundable what can they do with these tickets?

When should I expect to get the tickets? I ordered them a week ago and haven't received them yet.

We are going to the party on the 31st and have a PS at CP at 5:30. :earsboy:

I am having a hard time coming up with costume ideas that will be acceptable to my DS9. I would love for him and DS4 to be a pair or something like that. Any ideas?

Last year my son was 9 and he went as Captain Hook. John is pretty "cool", but I rationalized that he wouldn't know anyone there anyway! DS6 was Peter Pan, DH was Mr. Smee, I was Wendy and DD4 was Tink.

You are up against a wall with a 9-10 year old. We are in search now for our costumes and DS10 is the hardest one!!!

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DIS to all the Newbies! :earsboy:

dis4fun....What are the chances of getting tickets for MNSSHP for 10/31? You're chances are good right now so I'd purchase tickets soon.By mid or the end of Sept they will be sold out.

Franne... I was wondering if fast pass is available on the night of MNSSHP? No Fast pass is NOT running during MNSSHP.Halloween night will be more crowded than alot of the other party nights but there are still only so many tickets sold for this event.I can't find an exact amount,Disney is very closed mouth when it comes to attendance numbers, but it will MUCH LESS than a "crowded" day at the MK.

crazy4claspooh... Friends of ours had to cancel they have 4 tickets to the party I see they are not refundable what can they do with these tickets? Selling items here on the DIS is prohibited BUT maybe they could try selling them on Ebay.I've seen theme park tickets for sale on there.Good Luck! :)

lou7401... When should I expect to get the tickets? They should be coming soon would be my guess.10-14 business days or something like that...sometimes they surprise you and they get there quicker!

marydmjj... I am having a hard time coming up with costume ideas that will be acceptable to my DS9. I would love for him and DS4 to be a pair or something like that. Any ideas? How about Stitch and Lilo? My10 and 11 yr old boys think Stitch is cool. They both can do a really good imitation of him which gets pretty old on an 8 hr. car trip! :p I agree with jfis1020 tell him he won't know anyone there anyway!!! :teeth:

Fast Pass is not available. MNSSHP starts when the park closes (this is why you need to buy a ticket) and if you have the pass and go earlier, you get a wrist band so the employees there know who stays and who goes. The lines are not that long, they move pretty well.

Have a great time! Face painting, pictures -- all free!!!

We normally eat at LTT for the Halloween and Christmas parties. Gets you into the back of the park first, so when it opens up, you are there and in the front of the lines.

However, this year we have opted for a 3 pm lunch/dinner at Le Cellier for something different.

From there, we'll hop the 'rail and head to the room. DH and I will be putting on leis and grass skirts (how original) while Tinkerbell and Peter Pan put their costumes on.

One thing I've found with the Disney costumes. While they are expensive, they are durable. My son wore his Cap'n Hook costume for three years. Both children will wear last year's costumes this year. We will be modifying them slightly though. No tights for Tink, and the brown leggings of Peter's will be cut into shorts.

I'd LOVE to go as Maleficient. What an awesome costume! But comfort rules at the party that night.

Wondering if anyone has ever found the music that they play for the MNSSHP parade on CD or DVD? I found the music to be infectious and would love to get my hands on it. Hearing it on our home videos is o.k., but I want the real thing.
