I was also able to book a PS for LTT for the 17th as well (I did cancel the original PS for the 8th). I was worried that it might be completely booked since the MNSSHP ticket holders have been able to book this for quite some time now, but there were still several PS times available.:bounce:

The rest of the good news is that we can stay at WDW one extra day by switching our dates! :sunny:

Awesome! Looks like your "new" trip was meant to be -- and improved still!

I have a question about trick-or-treating. We'll be there on Halloween, so my kids will miss out on trick-or-treating back home for the first time (poor souls). I know there is trick-or-treating during the Halloween party, but does anyone know if there is any place I can take them to trick-or-treat during the day? Also, what is the trick-or-treating like in MK?

Your little ones will be so excited about going to the party that they won't even think about trick or treating during the day. However, if you are interested, the stores in the Belz Outlet in Orlando hand out candy to kids. I'll be at MNSSHP on Halloween too. It's a blast. Have a great time.

This information has been really great. I was wondering if anyone has any advice. I will be in WDW in October with my 3 1/2 year old and my 11 month old. Has anyone gone to the halloween party with children this young and was it worth it?

Also, if we do go to the halloween party, do we need to get tickets in advance or are they usually still available to buy when we get there in October? I have been reading that Halloween night sells out, but what about the other nights? We were thinking of the 17th(Sunday) or 20th (Wed.)

Thanks so much for any help in advance!

Hello, fellow Texan! :)

I know of absolutely no reason why the 14th would be more or less crowded than the 17th.

I chose the 17th because this date is near the middle of our stay. The Thurs-night party occurs on the day we arrive. Since we're driving in from TX I KNOW we'll be too tired to stay out late. So, my reasons were entirely personal.

I just ordered my tickets for the 17th. I was on the phone booking a Fantasmic DP and the cast member asked if I needed party tickets. I had planned to wait, but I couldn't help myself when asked directly. :Pinkbounc

Lucky and Pooh,

Where in Maryland are you?

We have a PS for Crystal Palace at 5:30pm on Oct. 1st.

Maybe we'll see you there!

Just bought our tickets for Oct 20th and booked LTT for 430. I didnt know we could book LTT before 90 days out!!!

Couple of questions, I dont think were addressed, but then again after 28 pages things tend to blur...

How long does it take the characters to make their rounds (on average) Wondering how long dinner will last....

I opted to pick up the tickets at will call.... Can I pick them up at any park's will call??

Is WDW-DINE open 7 days a week? My friend wants to call tomorrow (Sat)

Is there a page with DIS meets listed?

Thanks bunches. I am sure more questions will pop into my head!

I CANT WAIT!

BTW It will be Me, DD 5, DD 4, and two friends, plus another family with 10, 5, 2. All in costume!!! ::yes::

We went last year on Oct.31-it was sooooo crowded. Is it better any of the days before Halloween, because I thought it was so crowded-I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Yes, Halloween is the busiest night (but I still enjoy it!) and other nights are not as bad especially in the beginning of October.

Quick question for you past party goers.... We're going to the first party and were wondering if the Party shirts would be available that day or before at the parks? We are thinking about getting them to wear that night. Can't wait! Thanks!

Nancy

They only come out at the party.

When we went to last years MNSSHP, it was more crowded after 4:00 then it was during the day and that was in the beginning of Oct. too. But thats not stopping us this year.... We will be there on Oct 1st this year...

This thread convinced me and I just bought tix for Oct 24 and made PS for 6:05 pm at LTT. Thank you so much for all the valuable info.

The CM who helped me with my reservation and tix purchase told me I couldn't make the PS ressie until 90 days out. I called back and when I told the CM I had tix, he immediately asked "Liberty Tree Tavern, right?"
I had not trouble at all for that day; I could pick and choose the time. I hope I chose wisely.

Just my $0.02 on a few items on the last few pages.....

We chose Tuesday the 12th over Thursday the 14th because 1) hoping Columbus Day crowd gone and 2) some Florida schools are out on Friday the 15th.

pacercolt.....Baloo's flag looks great! ::yes:: to me!

Not getting PS at LTT because our hotel (HIFS) has kids eat free until 5 pm, so we'll eat before being there at 4 and catch a late night snack in the park.

I bought last year's CM t-shirts on ebay for the adults. Solid orange with a ghost trick or treating wearing Mickey ears. They are so cute! The kids are still trying to decide.

Is it time to pack yet?????

:hyper:

I just got my tickets in the mail, 2 Minnies, and one of each, Mickey, Goofy and Donald. I am sooo excited after reading through the WHOLE thread! We are going on the 31st and and really glad we can get in at 4. Once again, the Dis comes through, we would have waited till 7 if I didn't read it here!! Thanks!!!
Franne

Boy, I shudder to think what I'd not have known but for reading this thread... the 4 p.m. thing... the LTT early PS thing... when tickets went on sale... what to expect and how to plan... :faint:

For any of you first timers to MNSSHP... if you are interested, be sure to buy the pins that are sold at the party only. Way cool!

Marcia
