Mickey's Hideaway? Windsor Hills?

Ok, so we MIGHT drive down to WDW and stay off site. I've been looking into our options and I like Mickey's Hideaway Condo and Windsor Hills. Has anyone stayed there? How far is Windsor Hills from the parks? Are there restaurants nearby? Any shuttles or bus lines nearby?
Sorry, I just have so many questions.

We are going to be staying at Mickey's Condo in Windsor Hills in March, which is owned by the same lady who owns Mickey's Hideaway. I am very excited because I have read good reviews of Mickey's Condo, so I'm sure her other condos are just as great!

And she was a pleasure to deal with, so nice and answers your questions very quickly.

We've stayed at Windsor Hills 3 times and love it!! It's convenient to EVERYTHING, the condos are amazing, as is the pool. You will love it there!!

My family and I have stayed at both Mickey's Hideaway and Mickey's Safari (owned by a father daughter combo). They were nice to deal with, prompt and helpful with any questions. It is great to have the space for everyone to relax at the end of the day. We actaully plan to stay in one of these condos again next we go. You should have no problems staying here and will enjoy the space. Have Fun!

We have booked Mickey's Clubhouse, the owners 5bedroom property for October 2009. The owner has been wonderful to work with, their price is reasonable, and the home is decorated very disney. We are very excited!

This morning I reserved Mickeys Safari for a wk in March. Same owners. I will be watching thread to see what everyones opinions and responses. I have only read good things. His condos seem to have the Disney touch that I thought we would miss by not staying on site. Fred has been very prompt in answering questions and I do not think we will be dissappointed.

We had reserved a 2 bd villa on site and cancelled for M Safari - saving over $2000.

WH is about 5 min from Animal Kingdom and up to 15 to the other Disney parks, MK being the longest. There are tons of restaurants in the area. You're less than a mile from 192 and that is lined with loads of restaurants and fast food.
There is a shuttle that stops at WH (you have to pay)but I wouldn't depend on that for getting you to and from the parks. It's essential that you have your own car. Here's a list of restaurants from 1 minute to 10 minutes from WH.

We stayed at Mickey's Safari in Nov, of 2007 and it was great! We also got our groceries delivered to the condo the night we arrived so I didn't have to run right out to the store!
