We (my 5 yo DD, dressed as Ming-Ming Duckling from the Wonder Pets, 2 yo DD, dressed as Squirt, my sister, dressed in Elizabeth Swann gear and I, in street clothes) went to the Oct 4 Party. We went in 15 minutes before the party officially started and got our treatbags which had Pirates on one side and Ratatouille on the other. They were not the shopping bag size of last year but the same size of the bags we had gotten last year at
MNSSHP at MK. Certain areas eg Condor Flats were roped off until the officially 6:30 start time. We headed over towards the area to meet Mickey and Minnie. We were maybe 4th in line and my DD had their picture taken with them. The lines to meet characters were rather short at the beginning of the party as we kinda hopped around and had pictures with Donald, Goofy, and Co. I don't what the lines were like towards the end of the evening but I know last year when we went it was a tremendously long line to meet Mickey and Minnie and we got to the party late.
The candy selection was nice. I didn't really try to collect any until I saw they were giving out bags of Kissables, the size you normally get at the checkout stand. I couldn't resist and then after that, I couldn't stop.

I'm munching on some Kissables as I type now. Candy that we got: Tootsie Rolls, Lemon Heads, Dots, Laffy Taffy, Clark, Butter finger, Sixlets, Smarties, Tootsie Roll Pops, Toxic Waste (?), Snickers, Now N Laters. Healthy Snacks: Apple slices, carrot sticks, Organic Fruit Leather, Boxes of Raisins with the Cars characters on them. The treat trails were high yield for candy.
The girls played the Pirate games and got a Pirates bookmark and cute tatoos featuring the MM Clubhouse characters in Halloween costumes, a plug for the DVD. They had fun coloring paper masks featuring Mickey Jack O Lantern and Mickey Pirate. Peter Pan and Wendy came by and colored masks as well. They colored with the other kids at the tables. The girls also played a couple of the board walk games and got a few pieces of candy for that.
We didn't go on too many rides but the ones we did were short waits. We went on the Sun wheel and Soarin'. We waited 5 minutes top for both.
Towards the end of the night, 2 yo DD had crashed in the stroller and we decided to watch the parade. That night it was slated to start at 9:30. We sat down at 9:30 at the front of the park and waited for half an hour for it to make its way to us. When we sat down, there were hardly any people waiting for the parade. The parade is much smaller and shorter than MNSSHP's. 5 yo DD kept asking if candy was going to be handed out during the parade like at MNSSHP, but they did not. However, she still had a blast because the float stopped right in front of us, one of the dancers invited DD over to dance with a few other children and they all danced together with Flik. At one point Flik held DD hands and danced with her. She had a blast as she loves character interaction. Last year we spent most of MNSSHP at Cosmic Ray's at the dance party with the characters. When the parade was over, DD received a pin with Mickey's Halloween Treat on it. She had so much fun she wanted to do it again the next night. By the time the parade was over, the party was pretty much over and we decided to go back to our hotel. I think it might have been better to pick a spot earlier on the parade route and then you might have a little time to do a few more things before the party ended. I'm sorry if this is too much in detail. It's the first time I've posted a report but I've always learned a lot reading others post.
