Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Glad you got to meet Rosie. I haven't kept up thoroughly, so is her Janet friend Janet B who does the Pop Century thread on the Resorts board?
Me too.
::yes::

We enjoyed the walk to and from DTD when we stayed at Saratoga, too. Great perk for being there. ::yes::
Yes it is but it will be nicer to walk over the water and not tot he street and safer.

DTD is going to look very different in a few weeks than it did last summer. I am excited about checking out the Co-op and getting some pictures of the construction. When they finish Disney Springs, I think it's going to be very cool.
I saw an aerial view of the construction the other dya on FB. It was really cool and it is changing.

We have a Rainforest café here in Nashville, so that's something we haven't done yet in WDW. There are so many Disney only restaurants we have to check off still. We are thinking about hitting T-Rex one day when we are doing some shopping, if they can get us in w/o a long wait. We're not making an ADR, just if it works out. Our schedule is already packed.
We used to have one in West Nyack by us but never went. T-Rex is good but $37 for a burger fries and drink and tip is PRICEY.

There seems to be more and more talk about Star Wars, and I think Disney will capitalize on it eventually. I'm surprised it didn't come before Avatarland, honestly.
I think they think AK needs something and they are excited to get Avatarland in and then have it open at night.

Scott, I've loved your photo tours of the resorts. And welcome mats... YES! YES! YES!

I really wish I had found time to visit DTD in December. But awesome to have a DISmeet. :goodvibes

Aww bummer about no walkway. Most of the time I'd prefer to walk even if it was longer. I hate standing around waiting.
Thank you.
I usually try to visit once a trip. Love Dismeets.
I hate standing too but I took pics so that helped. :lmao:

What a great DisMeet.

Looks like you had fun in DTD and the pictures are lovely.

Great job on the walking. That's a lot of steps. :thumbsup2
it was.
I did and thank you.
That happens at Disney. lol

I have to remember to reply after reading the updates on FB.

Glad you reported the rude CM. I tend to let those things go and I really shouldn't. Our friend Kristel never does.

I am really sorry I missed all of the resorts. I have to plan another trip in December to see them. Not this year even though we will be in Florida right before Thanksgiving for the cruise Jim can't take Thanksgiving week off. The women all grab that week.

So nice that you got to meet Rosie. I love her TR's, when I remember to read them. I need to make a list of the ones I am following.
U really do need to learn that step.
kristel certainly does not.
maybe try to convince him to go 2 days earlier and stay at POP and see the resorts and no parks.
it was nice to meet her. I bookmark all my reports on Chrome.

A new day has dawned and today is an Epcot day. First let’s get there. Here I am with a selfie.

I LOVE THIS POOL.

Renee helped me out with the clock photo. I couldn’t get it to focus if I took it.

We are getting closer.

You are not allowed in here is what it is saying. LOL.

Hello there my old friend Spaceship Earth.

Decorations were by the entrance.

Looking up through the ceiling. I guess.

And we were let in.

Looks like the one on the left is singing and the other is wishing it to stop. LOL.

Look at that sky.

We went into Starbucks and Vinny and I got coffees. Total was $5.52

We need to go this way for our ride.

The stand by line looked long but we fp+.

Now I present the queue.

I know many like this but I just find it a waste of time. I love the ride itself but the designing is so boring. You should be able to bypass it is you would like to.

Remember we are the little pink car.

Then we met the crowds. The line did move along I believe.

Here is the video of the ride.
http://youtu.be/Lp4e_RMmg20

Then we looked at the cars.

Then we left the building and saw.

Now we had to decide where to go.

Up next,

Shopping and walking

Claire loved designing the car...I could take it or leave it...though I didn't get to do much so it would be nice to try it once on my own. :lmao:

I'm back and caught up. :faint:

I may end up out of order here.

I love your upside down selfie.

The Beach Club was done very nicely.

I was disappointed in the Boardwalk this trip; they did much more the year before if I remember correctly.

As much as I am not a fan of the GF, the decorations there are stunning. Thanks for adding the ones at the Villas.

The Poly has always lacked in decorations; it had nothing to do with the remodel. I am so sad the fountain is gone. I literally wanted to cry when we were there last week.

The Contemporary's decorations seem a little bland to me as well, but do love that outside tree.

I am so glad you FINALLY got to meet the famous Rosie. Isn't she a sweetheart? I got to meet her in December as well and was so happy to finally meet her.

I do not like Test Track at all; I wish they had left it alone.

Obviously you drink just regular coffee at Starbucks if it was only $5.22.

:lmao: You should try it once. Some kids like it and some I heard complaining about it.

I'm back and caught up. :faint:
:thumbsup2

I do that too. :rotfl2:

Thanks.

it really was.

That is too bad. I am still upset about the lights that used to be in Epcot in the walkway up to the fountain and they don't do them anymore.

I do not think I will miss the waterfall too much. The space will seem so much bigger in the end.

The Contemporary's decorations seem a little bland to me as well, but do love that outside tree.
The tree outside did it for me.

I am so glad you FINALLY got to meet the famous Rosie. Isn't she a sweetheart? I got to meet her in December as well and was so happy to finally meet her.
She was fantastic to meet. So happy.

I do not like Test Track at all; I wish they had left it alone.
me too.

Obviously you drink just regular coffee at Starbucks if it was only $5.22.
:rotfl2: I think it was iced decaf. Vinny just a blonde coffee.

I went in single rider side a few times on TT. I seem to recall that you don't have to do the car design on that side.

Nice pictures of Epcot.

Trent and Steve enjoyed making the cars, me not so much. I just watched

Sorry about the CR CM :furious: very unmagical. The Poly decorations are underwhelming I agree, I guess it's tropics right ;)

 I got to meet Rosie too! My kiddos were being very impatient (it was MVMCP night) we were at the Poly :lovestruc

My kids can't wait for Test Track!:woohoo:

I am sure a lot do but you should be able to bypass if you want. I will watch now too.

Tropics can be christmasy. I think. :confused3 :rotfl2:
:cool1: Yeah! She was great in person as she is on here.
I think that is who it is for now is kids. I still like the ride just hate the getting to the ride part.

After our ride around the track we decided to walk a little before our next FP. We saw some cute little duckies.

Looks like a perfect day.

A monorail passing us.

Follow the path in front of you.

Then we went into Mousegears to look around a little.

Here are some air fresheners they sell. Honestly they are cute but the smell hardly lasts.

Christmas merchandise.

This is so pretty.

I love this. Wish I could put on my wall here.

More Christmas stuff.

We left there and started heading towards the other side. I love this fountain.

OOPS! We went to Starbucks now.

Renee stayed outside while we ordered to check her work email. Here is Vinny enjoying his drink.

What a view.

And then we were off to our next destination. I think I will stop[ here.
Up next,

Let’s visit the Land…

Beautiful pictures, Scott.

I love all the Christmas stuff they have. However, my husband and wallet do not.

I love when the fountain is dancing to the music. I could stand there all day watching it.

Haha, ok that is quite the selfie there Scott.

Part of me wants to enter the Cast Member Only area. I mean, how often do you get arrested by Mickey Mouse?

Ahhh I never tire of Epcot photography. I really believe it's the most photogenic park. Beautiful!

Great pictures. Love the one of the ducks with the reflection in the water.

Glad to find out that the air freshner smells don't last. I did consider getting one but for some reason changed my mind at the last minute.

I LOVE THIS POOL.

I DO TOO! such a great pool! I always take a ton of pictures of it. Cynthia & I stayed at OKW in May, but I ran over to SSR several times and had to stop and take pictures of this pool. :rotfl:

yay for Epcot. I like the design part of TT but I wish I could figure out how to make the perfect car. I guess I'm not much of an engineer!

So sorry I have not commented much - too occupied with work. :sad2:

I love to see all the decorations in the resorts. So beautiful. Brings back so many fond memories. :thumbsup2

And I love that you got to meet quite a few DISers. We met Rosie some years ago and she is so much fun. :goodvibes

That was a beautiful day :flower3: It's was so warm down there it felt like Summer and not December. Not that I was complaining at all! It was great to et some swimming in...OOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOhhhh The Land! :cheer2: One of my faves!!!

:lmao: Thank you.
When you do it I want to be there and take photos of it happening.
I love Epcot. It is my favorite park probably now. My most photogenic is AK.

Great pictures. Love the one of the ducks with the reflection in the water.

Thank you.
I do have the mickey head one and do hang that from the mirror just to show off Mickey. :rotfl2:

Beautiful day!

That's good to know about the air fresheners. I had thought about buying one, but I doubt I will now. Thanks for saving me a few bucks. :thumbsup2
it certainly was.
You're welcome.
