Ok. You know those scrumptious ice cream bars called mickey bars? do you think they will ever run out of them on the boat? Because on my last cruise i had about 8 servings of strawberry shortcake. Does this have any relationship or connection to the mickey bars??

I know if adults wanted them for dessert the servers are more than willing to supply them. I never heard of them running out on our 7 DCL cruises!!!

Thank you very much MJ! Any1 else having similiar stories of eating a bit too much of the same dessert?

I opted for a Mickey Bar instead of anything on the regular dessert menu several times on our Eastern cruise. I can't wait to get back to the parks for more:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

My DD19 is addicted to the Creme Brulee....she always asks for two!!!

Mickeys are great but at the parks I got addicted to the tollhouse chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwiches and was very disappointed to learn they did not have them on the cruise. Did not stop us from booking our second cruise though!!!!

and can you imagine the size of the freezer that holds all those mickey bars? The boxes and boxes of mickey bars? yummmmmm!

It is so funny that you mention Mickey Bars. My husband has been walking around clamoring for one of them all week!!! He will have to wait until June when we get to the parks. But I'm sure he'll get his fill in November when we are on the Magic!:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Ok, when you just can't hold out for that Mickey bar any longer try a Dove bar with dark chocolate coating. It isn't in the right shape but taste is just about dead on.

DW always gets a mouse bar AND a selection from the dessert menu. Of course I usually get a mouse bar and 2 desserts. LOL. We also get them at OKW (their cheaper here than anywhere else we've had them for some reason)

Each night our server (Nick from Croatia) would bring a "special surprise" dessert for each of the kids at his tables. It was covered with a metal server top and each child had to place his/her napkin over the top so that there was no peeking in the hole. The when everybody was set they all has to yell something like"Hoogly boogly"(?) and then were allowed to uncover their treats. It was always a mickey bar, the featured dessert from the children's menu plus one more dessert. Needless to say, dessert was a hit in our section of the dining room!

Hey Deb!

when you just can't hold out for that Mickey bar any longer try a Dove bar with dark chocolate coating. It isn't in the right shape but taste is just about dead on.

Unfortunately, so are the calories. In order to prevent the need for ADDITIONAL tredmill time, I usually take one bite from each of my son's 2 or 3 Mickey Bar deserts. Oh how I miss those younger days when I could eat 2 or 3 ice cream bars, burp, and then eat 1 or 2 more with no concern about calories. It was as if the burp provided sufficient exercise...

I thought burping WAS an aerorobic exercise?? Doesn't it burn the same amount of calories as applying sunscreen? Thought I read this someplace......:p ;)

A picture is worth a thousand words ~
Our gang definitely had their share!!
Ditto on the Dove bars!!

4nana - what a doll! I've been meaning to look you up. Can you again tell me website address for your tourguide in St. Thomas? My computer crashed and I lost all my info:(

Samsma ~ Thanx bunches!
Ms. Bethany is one of our 7 'Prides and Joys'. :teeth:

I'm sure there are many companies one can use.
The tour company we used is: http://www.godfreytoursvi.com/
Godfrey and brother Tony have earned great reviews on
Cruise Critic board. :D

They are not on the room service menu, but you can order Mickey Bars from room service. Makes for a great treat right before bedtime.

Do they have mickey bars at scoops? Can you get them for dessert at lunch and maybe breakfast?:earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :teeth: :earseek: :earseek:
