Michigan DIS meet next month at HFM

Anyone in the Michigan and surrounding areas is invited to a DIS meet that is going to be held at The Henry Ford Museum on the 24th of September starting at noon.

There is going to be a VERY special exhibit about Disneyland. Keep in mind though that it costs 10 dollars for Henry Ford Museum members/24 dollars for non members to see it.

Im sorry to all those who wanted a later date, but my dh and I are gonna be their opening weekend because all our weekends our booked up this comming fall with a Niagara Fall trip and my some of my college classes I am taking online. If those who can't make it to the opening weekend want to, feel free to make a later DISmeet date for you guys.

So right now, the DISmeet I am scheduling for those who can make it to opening weekend is starting at noon on the 24th of September. :

There is an article in today's Detroit Free Press (9/21/05) that the opening of the exhibit "Behind the Magic - 50 Years of Disneyland" at the Henry Ford Museum has been postponed until September 30, 2005.

It is on page 2C under "Briefly".

I was just going to post this. We were suppose to go to the preview party tonight but it was cancelled as well. They were having problems with mounting some of the artifacts and problems with some of the shipping vendors. It is suppose to be a FANTASTIC EXHIBIT. I can hardly wait to see it.

I will get over to the museum as soon as the weather turns crappy - it's been too nice to be indoors yet and I have so much yard work to get done before I can't go outside again - I'm just lovin' this touch of summer weather that keeps hanging on!
