I am staying at Disney Pop Century and would like to go to the nearest Michaels Craft Store. Can anyone advise the best way to get there, by taxi, or lynx bus etc. Thanks

We love Michael's and go there every few trips and always when we have fish extenders to plan!

IMHO the best one to get to is at The Loop, which is on Osceola Parkway at the junction with John Young Parkway (I would think it is the lower one in Wayne's post above). However I don't know about buses as we always have a car - it takes us about 15-20 mins from Windsor Hills. Maybe a taxi would be best?

No idea what Jo-ann is but we sometimes go into Micheals, they sell allsorts to with craft, picture frames, vases, artificial flowers, loads more.

On the stor locater you can link to "This Store's Weekly Ad" voucher there for 40% off any 1 item, we got a similar one last time we visited from Orlando Sentinel for 50% off any 1 item, saved a few $'s.

Amen to that! Both DDs are as into crafts as I am so we just usually leave DH behind doing something he enjoys!! = us = DH

There is a Jo Ann's down on the 192, going east on the 192, its not that far from the old town area, prob about another 2 miles (it says 4785 on google maps, would that be the post code), sorry from the uk, so not sure what that means. There is a Target & a Marshals there too, my husband went to the subway whilst I was shopping here, its also very close to a Sams club.

I went to a Micheal's just opposite the florida mall, so if you're heading up there (and what woman who loves to shop wouldn't be) you could combine it with that trip.

They are both great stores and sell very similar things.

Was just going to say that I usually let DH and the kids go over to the Target and have a look in there - there is also a Starbucks in Target so they can sit and have a coffee while I look round. I have come back to the car before now to find they are all three asleep taking a cheeky nap while I have been shopping!

Yep definately better to get rid of the 'moaners' you know they will be saying why do you have to go down this isle, what you looking at that for. I really think they should have a seating area, airconditioned like a department store I once visited in Norway where they had a bar area & men magazines (not the rude ones, soz, what car, audio equipment & that kind of thing). Then we could shop for hours without them getting board.
