Michaels 40% off

I'm not sure how Michaels distributes their coupons but I was told today that there will be a 40% coupon in tomorrow's Orlando Sentinal. You might want to keep an eye out in your local paper. Now if I can only talk DH into the sizzix I will be all set.

There were two color ads in my newspaper this morning with 2 40% coupons. Now to decide what to buy . . . .

Maybe a shape die cut for my sizzix and I' ve been eyeing the sizzix carry bag at A.C. Moore.

beansmom, have you been to any of the new jo-ann superstores yet? They're having their grand opening for them next weekend. I was in one the other day and picked up a few of their flyers with 40% off coupon on it - they had a stack on a table near the door so I couldn't resist.

A few weeks ago I used my 40% coupon on Sizzix lowercase alphabet set. It was something like $62 off! Now...if only they would get the capital letters in!

Was the coupon in this week's paper actually in the paper or was it a separate flyer included with the Sunday Paper?

In my neck of the woods - we don't get the coupon if it is part of a separate flyer. We only get it if the ad is in a section of the paper, like the first section of the paper. This selective advertising by Michaels irritates me to no end, as I pay the same rates as everyone who lives in the city.

The grand opening celebratioin and sale runs Thursday 8/21 - Saturday 8/23. They're giving away prizes and having special events - at least according to the flyer.

I've been to the one in Lewisville and the prices for scrapbook things seemed very high. The store was nice but for example the new Sandylion Sticker packages with the big Disney stickers were $2.99. They are $2.49 at Hobby Lobby and $1.99 or less at the Scrapbook Warehouse across the freeway.

Best is to get them at Hobby Lobby when they do the 1/2 stickers but overall I thought the prices weren't great. Maybe JoAnn's will have good sales.

I'm waiting for Hobby Lobby to have another 1/2 sticker sale, the store in Carrollton now has Tinkerbelle and the embossed Mickey & Minnie stickers

I just got back from Michaels, stopped in on my way home from work. I only had a $20 budget (we're cash strapped right now) and I got a few stickers and stuff.

Boy, they sure have a lot of SB stuff now!!!! I was shocked! It's been a couple of months since I have been but there was so much stuff!!!

The best thing was that they now have the full alphabet set of Fun Serif for Sizzix!!!! They've only ever had the Lolipop set, which I don't care for so now when we get back from WDW in the fall, I am gonna have to save and use a 40 or 50% off coupon! It's $249 CDN, so that's not too bad!!!!

I'm just about ready to start scrapbooking when we get home from our WDW trip in OCT--I've never done a scrapbook before and our budget's low due to the trip.

I don't want to bore y'all with questions about where to begin, but I sure can use a HEADS-UP if y'all see something on sale a beginner could use!

Sure wish we had the JoAnne Superstores down here in the Houston area; I had an awesome time last year with Halloween markdowns
