I was wondering I'd I should purchase with Delta or wait for Sw. One way to SNA is under 200 with tax per person. Should I grab it or wait for Sw? Seems like a good deal but I never looked for Ca tickets before.

We are flying from the east coast too, in January. I've seen $349 round trip from providence to sna, but I am curious to see what SW offers.

I would not expect SW to be much cheaper IMHO $200 is an pretty good fare for SNA. It is a smaller airport that tends to be higher priced. SW tends to be a little higher there. Look at the dates already open to see what the fares run

I ended up making the purchase and so glad I did! The rates have been more expensive to fly into SNA than into LAX. While I making the purchase I had expected to pay 555.00 for three one way tickets and during the process the tickets went down to 522.00 a piece. I know I have to pay for the suitcase but I still am quite happy with this rate especially since it went up today to 755.00. I just have to worry about the return flight now. :hippie:

where's SNA?

SNA is the airport code for John Wayne Airport, also known as Orange County Airport, also known as Santa Ana.

It's the closest airport to Disneyland and Newport Beach. It's also has the nicest airport terminal in Southern California and convenient rental car service right in the parking structure (no rental car shuttle for the major rental car brands).

The next closest airport, Long Beach (LBG), is burdened with a historic terminal that's completely inadequate. The region's major airport, Los Angeles International (LAX), is a huge, crowded, busy airport with rental car pickup several miles away.

For anyone traveling to the Disneyland Resort, John Wayne Airport should be the first choice.

thanks!

John Wayne is a great airport. Since I am from so cal, might I also suggest Ontario International airport In Ontario, CA. It's about 35 min east of Disneyland, and is only about 10 years old. Also owned by LAX. But far less crowded. All major carriers go there. code is :ONT. I travel alot for work and always fly out of there. security takes about 5 min, and is very low stress.

One word of warning... the airlines can't decide what to call John Wayne.

One week on the monitor its "Orange County"

The next week it's Santa Ana.

And your boarding pass can be the same thing! Tends to confuse folks! Just remember "orange county" and "santa ana" are the SAME airport!

 I have noticed this when making my booking. For awhile I wasn't sure if I was flying to the right airport.

Well, I just booked the return flights for less money and out of SNA. I am really happy with the price, times and airport. I am so happy that I don't have to worry about this part of my trip.:cool1:

Hooray for SNA!!

It is truly my favorite airport. Clean, easy to navigate, helpful staff and so close to Disneyland.

I'm glad it worked out for you!!
