Traci, I totally plan on taking tons of photos! I'm a bit worried how they will turn out though without the flash (so you can see the costumes are lit up). I need to play with my camera settings! You better post photos too! Can't wait to see Mike and Sulley! So cute =)

My two cousins, my niece and I are going to the party on the 25th! My niece is going to be an angel, not sure what my younger cousin will be yet. My older cousin and myself will be in Halloween shirts.

Thanks! I actually bought it off ebay two years ago becasue we were supposed to go to DL for Halloween that year, but didn't make it until November so now I finally get to use it!!!

In the past there have been costume threads, but there are a couple of problems with these (which is why they often don't take off).

One problem is that we have too many October/Halloween-related threads. There's an October Check-In thread. There's an MHP Check-In thread. There is the Halloween Superthread. There is the 'has your MHP date sold out' thread. There are any number of pop-up/offshoot threads with specific questions about one particular facet of the Halloween season.

After a while, all of the threads get to be too much and no one knows where to post...which then leads to people starting even more threads, and then people start posting info that should go in the MHP Check-In thread in the October Check-In, or info that should go in the Halloween Time Superthread, in the MHP Check-In, etc. Everything gets mixed up. At some point people may even begin to confuse "Mickey's Halloween Party" with "Halloween Time," the season, as though they are one and the same.

My suggestion is to post specific costume photos (which will helpful in giving people ideas) in Kiwigirls' MHP Check-In thread for 2013 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3139112. I think that's where the costume photos would be most appropriate since they are directly pertaining to Mickey's Halloween Party.

Just bought our 10/23 tix for DD8, DD4 and I. Our first MHP!

Thinking I'll go as Maleficent... DD8 will wear her Jasmine costume she made last year. DD4... Hmm...She's obsessed with Rajah (Jasmine's tiger) though. She was Rajah last year but I don't think the costume is really suitable for walking around the park. It has feet that will get trashed and a large headpiece. Was thinking about getting her a Cinderella dress but maybe I should look for a more suitable tiger costume instead. I could get her face painted too...hmmm..
