We plan to spend one day at MK. My children are ages 5 & 7.

We are only visiting the parks two days on our trip. If we have park hoppers would we want to spend part of our other day at MGM and part at Epcot? We have never been to MGM so I don't really know what to expect and whether a full day there is necessary if we do the Early Entry.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hi

If you do early entry at MGM, and leave by 2-3 then you could head over to Epcot. Its doable. You obviously wont get to do every ride at both, but you would have more then enough time to see all the big attractions.

Get to MGM early and get a taste. Of course you will just touch a few highlights. Even though MGM is small, there are a lot of nooks and crannies that really should be discovered at a nice lesiurly pace. I suggest you pick out a few attractions you want to see before hand and go with that game plan.

I think you'll be surprised with MGM! There are lots of neat things for kids... We spent lots of time at both MGM (on a few mornings) and EPcot from late afternoon on!

Have fun!

I think that the only downside to doing MGM in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon is that you wouldn't see Fantasmic!

I think it's doable. We usually have a difficult time staying all day at MGM or Epcot soley. So we usually start in one and finish in another. The best advice I could give you is to decide which night show is more important to see -- Fantasmic (my favorite) or Illuminations. Then decide which attractions are most important to you and your family and have a plan of 'to sees'. This way you won't be disappointed or overwhelmed at each park.

HAVE FUN! :teeth:

I just got back. Travelled with 14, 12 and 5 year old. Three days total. First day all at MK. Second day all at MGM. Third day morning at MK, rest at Epcot.

MK was a hit both times. Didn't have enough time at all.

MGM is very show-intensive, but lacks rides. The 5 year old couldn't ride RNR, didn't like TOT, the GMR didn't mean anything to him, leaving just Star Tours. A half-day at MGM would have been better.

The half day at Epcot was almost enough (not quite though).

Therefore the MGM/Epcot plan is a good one.
