Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

I haven't had a chance to read everything lately but what a nice surprise to see everyone wish Emilee HAPPY BIRTHDAY:dance3: :cool1:  What a great group!

Vern: We will be celebrating our Anniversery on Saturday July 26th. We have Palo res. that night:lovestruc . I am not sure if we are going to do the romance package...we are not drinkers and not really into the spa too much but I am trying to think of other things we might be able to do to celebrate...

I am busy working on our fish extender gifts. Just an overall question--What is your favorite character? I am sure everyone has a different one but if you had to pick who would it be? Mickey or a Princess, Pooh or tinker bell?

Hope everyone has a great day...the count down is on!

MICKEY!! :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

I love them all but Mickey's always been my favorite. Can't wait to see him on the ship!

Happy weekend everyone!

Hola! Let me introduce myself - I am the "better" half of the guy who worked for the mouse. I've been helping Vern with the organizing of the info that everyone is sending. Last week, I sat down and read through the entire thread. :surfweb: This was so I can learn who everyone is. Thank you for all your info but we still need to hear from a few of you.:tigger: Karen

Thanks so much for doing all this. I love when things are organized. I have found myself re-reading the thread to clear up who is who. I am still confused:confused3 Oh, well...:goodvibes

Had to share with everyone...my DD just turned 18 months and she can tell the difference between Minnie and Mickey. She used to just say Mit Mouse and point but now she notices Min Mouse too!

My friends showed us so video from their Repo cruise and she squeeled when she saw them. She is going to love it in person!  Me too!:yay:

Have a great weekend if I don't get a chance to check in...

pixiedust: HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all our dads out there.:cheer2:

Hey Karma, Thank you for the info, as you all have found out my wife has now joined us on the thread. She is really the one that is orginized.
My favorite Disney character is Mickey Mouse, Karen's is Tigger.
Thank you for the Father's Day wishes. Both of my boys that are in the Marines are home for the weekend, so it's already been a blessed time. Vern

Hi Everyone!

Vern: In our stateroom there aren't any "special" occasions....just very excited to be on the big Mickey Boat.....but we do have a family member cruising with us that'll be celebrating her birthday the day we board the ship...

Dancing Mickeys: My favorite character is Mickey...I'm crazy about Disney in general but that big Mouse will put a smile on my face everytime!:rotfl2:

Thanks Vern and "better half" and Laura for getting us so organized. Now that I have my fish extender I've been working on ideas for our fish extender gifts and realizing we are only 5 weeks aways....

Hello Everyone,

It's great too see some activity on the boards. With just 5 weeks to go I am very excited. :cool1:

I would like to extend my gratitude and say THANKS to all who are pitching in to help make this an extra Magical cruise. :flower3:

Dancing Mickey's: My favorite character is ::MickeyMo
I've gone as far as tatooing ::MickeyMo on me in my early twenties  . Now that I am approaching 35 I feel a bit silly. But I have no regrets.

Anywho, Have a Happy Fathers's to all you Dad's out there ! :yay:

Hi, Thank you for the explanation of the symbols, fish and magnets. My son would like to join the fish game. How do we join so we can participate?

Nora

:) WE'RE Neighbors.....AttilaTheHun. I just checked where you were from and it said walnut Creek, CA. We live their too! Welcome to our cruise. :dance3: :dance3:

If you have any questions this is the best place to ask. Many are repeaters..my family this will be our 4th, there are first timers like yourself and then those experienced on this cruise. You will absolutly love it!

With the fish extender exchange there is someone on this thread that is making a master list of those participating. If you look at the very first post you will see a list with those on this cruise, cabin numbers, who is who, and FE (Fish Exchange). What you do is get little goodies and leave them in everyones Fish extender....there is a link that shows you what these are or if you look a couple pages back you will see a picture of one that someone made...sorry I cannot remember the name but it is so cute!:)

The magnet image is also on this post but if you email Vern he will send it to you. I just went to staples to buy my magnetic paper today and you just print the image right on it. The doors of the cabins are metal so the magnetic paper is great. Many people decorate their door so people know where here having fun:banana:

DID SOMEONE SAY 5 WEEKS?!?!?!:yay: :yay: :yay:

:welcome:

Hi, Nora,
Don't forget to let us know your room number so we can find you to deliver the goodies! We are also having a group get together after the safety drill on Sunday where we will all get a chance to meet each other.

It is so much fun planning this trip with all these other people who are as excited about it as I am! :yay: :yay:

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!

Hi Karma!

I'm not sure what you are up to, but it is fun to hear what everyone's favorite character is.

I LOVE:love: Sorcerer Mickey:smickey: the best of all characters, but am most like Fairy Godmother. My Hubby isn't a huge Disney fan, :( but he really enjoys Monsters Inc, so I'm thinking Sully. He acts most like Donald or Gumpy, however:furious: ! My DD LOVES Cinderella, and DS loves Mickey, probably Jedi Mickey, the best. I can't wait to leave items in the fish extenders and see what creativity others come up with. I think it will be one of the highlights of the trip!:) I just gave our two fish extenders to my SIL so she can embroider our names on them. We have one that is really girly-girl pink and lavender, and one with pirate skulls and the Portland Trailblazers for the guys. I've also been very busy getting different graphics for magnets. I have a feeling our doors are going to have a lot of magnets, since there are so many great ideas out there for super-cute designs.

I hope all of the dads have had a wonderful Father's Day!:cloud9: :woohoo: How wonderul for Vern and Karen to have both their boys home with them on this special day!

Kerri

Hi, Here is our info: Our cabin # is 7567, my son's name is Attila and he just turned 11. My best friend Laurine is coming in my Husbands place because he could not get off work to come and my name is Nora. I am also retired from the US Air Force.:cool1: So what do I do next? You can also e-mail me the info. ;)

Just wanted to bump the question back on top...

Who is you favorite Disney Character?

Mickey is my favorite character.....and the favorite of my son as well.

We were at Tokyo Disneyland last weekend celebrating potty training success (a bribe for my son to get him ready for this cruise.....) when he asked me..."Mommy, can we live here at the Mickey Mouse house?"

Anyway, someday he'll realize that living with Mickey could be pretty costly...but what fun! He's going to have a great time on the cruise.

We are so ready for this vacation -- but have so much to do and so long to travel before we get there. I honestly can't think of all the things we need to do in order to be ready to leave. We start heading to the USA on July 9th....which is coming up really fast!

See you soon,

Kathy

Hi Konichiwa,

Are you stationed overthere in the military or as an English teacher. I was stationed in Okinawa and got to go to Tokyo for the Grand Opening of the Tokyo Disneyland. It was a lot of fun hearing all the Disney charactor speaking and singing in Japanese. That was a number of years ago, but whose counting.::yes::

Konichiwa!

No, I'm not in the military and not an English teacher......working over here for an American company on assignment for 2-3 years.

How fun to see the opening of the park. I think they are celebrating the 25th anniversary this year!! We are much more familiar with the Tokyo park as my son was so young when we lived in California that we did not go.....and my husband and I never grew up going to anything Disney. So, my son will be shocked that anyone speaks English when we go to Disneyland in California before the cruise.

We still have not made it to Okinawa.....maybe some day. It is funny how we had every intent to see a lot of Japan once we got here. Then, when we are living here we just get so busy with work, school, and all the things we'd get busy with in the USA. Vacations are then spent......traveling back to the USA to see our families. Oh well.....living in Tokyo has still been the experience of a lifetime.

Does anyone know when documents arrive? My travel agent indicated we did not need any documents and they sent everything via email?? That seems to be different than what I read on these message boards. Anyway, I printed out all the online paperwork that we need....so perhaps that is all we need when we arrive at the port?

I think we get our "packets" 30 days prior to sailing. That would mean later this week or the beginning of next week we should be seeing them. Although I don't know what the packet consists of because back in 2005 when we went on our last cruise there wasn't online check in and the packet consisted of all the contract stuff....so, I would think we'd at least get our lugagge tags in the packet :confused3 Whatever the packet contains....I am SO excited!!!

I am a little confused:confused3 did we decide for sure how we are doing the FE exchange? I am buying stuff and I just want to make sure I am doing it right. Are we doing it 2-3 times and getting stuff for all 14 or 15 rooms participating? Or am I completely wrong? Just want to make sure I get the right thing because it is getting so close:cloud9:
