Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

Rebecca...

Funny...I have a nine year old son. He has been communicating with a boy in Seattle...so I know he wouldn't mind emailing your daughter...if she is interested.

Just let me know.

I sent you a PM with my daughter's email if your son is interested.

Hi...
My DD is 14 and would like to email another girl who will be on the cruise. My DD likes the stack, but tends to be a bit shy. She would like to email someone before the cruise and "chat" so they are already know each other before getting on the ship.

You can send me a PM with a contact email or myspace info and I will have my DD respond.

:chat: :thanks:

:dogdance:

I also have a son who is 13....will almost be 14 when we cruise....and he texts and emails more than girls!!! :rotfl: Most mistake him for being older because he is 5'11" - I'm sure he'd love to join in on the emailing.....I'll PM you with his email address as well.

I know you were looking for another girl for your DD but I have a 14 year old son..almost 15. This will be the first time that he will be old enough to go to the stack. It would be nice if he got to know other kids. PM me for those with kids his age and they could chat. He will be gone for two weeks but at least he can try while he is still home:)

Anyone know much about the Stack? I have a feeling that he may spend most of his days with us.

I am getting really excited. We stayed up late last night trying to figure out what we want to do in the ports....still have not desided but we are going to try the dophin and sea lion swims..probably in PV non disney destination at Sea Life Water Park. When we went to Cancun a few years ago I swam with the dophins at a water park style similar to Sea Life and it was a BLAST! So I am hoping it will be close to the same idea.

I'm off ...:moped:

Hi Liz,

My DD just turned 16 and she will be more than happy to chat with your daughter. This is our first cruise so it will be helpful if someone can "show her the ropes" at the Stack as I know my DD will be shy at first. I will PM you her email address.

Thanks :goodvibes
Thanks

My DD is only 13 (barely) but she would love to chat with someone before the cruise. If anyone is interested please send me a PM. With all these kids wanting to get to know each other it's too bad we didn't start a kids thread like some of the other groups.

My DD is a little disappointed that she won't be allowed into the Stack this trip; she was really looking forward to that (me, not so much). But I know she'll have a good time wherever she is.

One month to go!

Hey Kathy, just saw this post, a word of advise. Don't get the reseis for 6:30pm the day of the cruise. Karen & I had that res. back in 2005 and we almost didn't get there. We had to wait for our suitcases to be delivered to our stateroom. And it was 5 minutes before our res when we got them. We rushed...almost ran for dinner. Of course now we laugh about it, but back then it wasn't funny. Thought I'd just put my 2 cents worth in. Vern

Thanks Vern,
We were thinking it would be too hectic....so we let it pass. Thanks for your advise. I hate taking a vacation and then feeling just as "scheduled" as I do at work....would rather skip Palos if that will be our only choice for a time.

Kathy

Hi Vern,

Thanks for the email. I am having construction done in my house and thats all I can think about. I need to start thinking about the cruise because we only have one month. If anyone has a 8 year old girl my daughter would love to talk to them. I will start checking the disboard everyday! Can't wait to meet everyone!!

RebeccaR

You're having construction done on your house :scared1: Is that why we haven't been swimming over there yet. How can you think about anything but the cruise ;) Maybe we should take your tickets for you :duck: Start shopping

We are getting close.....4 weeks from today....28 days.....oooh how exciting. Time to start packing :cool1: :cool1:

Yes Patsy, it is getting closer :woohoo: and I'm working on our fish extender. Hope you don't mind - but I'm using yours as my inspiration. :thumbsup2 We too were in Michael's the other night and...well...for someone who is craft challenged...too many decisions :rotfl2: but I think that we finally picked out something that will work. At least, we'll have some fun trying :yay: :yay: :yay:

Just checking in. I can't believe that we are under 30 days!!:cool1: We just got back from a camping vacation and had a great time. I now have to get to work on our FE. I'm going to see if my DS is interested in making it with his cousin and Grandma (Dustbunny is my sister) It could be a good project for the kids now that school is out. But, we'll fee. i got some pirate fabric but, i have been looking for a second one to mix it up a bit.

I'm counting the days.

Hey I was just checking the main cruise board and wondered how many are going to get dressed up for the Pirate night? One group all got dressed up and then took a picture of their whole group infront of Lumiers. Looks fun. I am not the dress up type too much but I can sport an eye patch, bandanna, and roll up my jeans:)

I also looked into the Sea Life park in PV. It looks really fun and I think our family is going to venture out and do that one. It is a waterpark, swim with dolphins, or sea lion encounter all at the same place. I did something like this in Cancun and it was THE BEST. My son wants to swim with the dophins and the water park looks so fun!

Counting down.....just need to make my FE...:faint: ..I do not sew but I just bought some fabric...:wizard: Maybe that will help:wizard:

We will be dressing for pirate night. DH and DS will be wearing polo shirts from old navy that have skull and crossbones. My DD will be wearing a dress that my mother in law made that is pink with skull and crossbones. I will be wearing either a top or dress that mother in law is making that is burgundy with skull and cross bones. I got material for mine and DD's dresses/shirt from ebay. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone! We just discovered this thread and while we have been on the Magic three times before (once on the Panama crossing in 2005), we are new to disboards! We are travelling with an extended family group but the extended members aren't very gung ho - so we're counting on some disney spirit from you guys. For instance, we love to dress up on pirate night but everyone else in our group are saying "No Way!" They are not planning to dress up for formal night either. Hey we love them tons but they are just not getting into the mood at all! There are four members in our immediate family,
DH (44), DW (41), DD(17), and DS(13 - but as he points out to everyone, turning 14 on the cruise!) The kids are new to the stack -since my DS was too young on previous cruises, my DD just hung around with him instead of checking it out. So, do the teenagers have fun there? What is it like? They would love to email with anyone close to their ages prior to the trip -which is now less than 4 weeks away! Can't wait!!!

:welcome: jthree

This is our first cruise and we can't wait. But, many of the people on here have been on a DCL many times and can offer help with any questions. I have found the DIS sooo helpfull:disrocks:

Welcome to the group, jthree! party: We'll be happy to help get you into that Disney spirit. :goodvibes

We are going to dress up for pirate night. Nothing elaborate, but we have pirate t-shirts and bandannas, and we'll probably add a few accessories (eye patch, earring). I think it'll be fun! :thumbsup2

We will be somewhat dressing for the occassion. My younger DS has a shirt with skull and cross bones. DH and older DS has a bandana with pirate design. We plan on having some eye patches and some other accessories. Haven't figured out yet what I am going to wear, but I'll be dressing for the occassion. It will be fun.....

Welcome Aboard, I'm Vern, nice to have ya with our little family of Disney Nuts. We will try to throw our Disney Magic you way for your fam. Not sure if you have been able to read the whole thread yet, but our first meet on the ship will be right after the "Drill" and before the Sail Away Party. (more info to come to where excatly the spot). Also, will your family be joining us for the Fish Extenders gift giving? If you can, give us your names and stateroom #. If you don't want to give it over the thread, you can send me a PM (private Message) or email me at: vrntnns@verizon.net Thank you for checking in with us. Might I give some advise for your non-Disney family? Try to get them to go to www.disneycruise.com and start looking at web pages and see what will be going on. Vern

Yes, of course, we will be dressing for the pirate's night.(look at our pic below) You gotta have fun... its Disney! Just a thought... (ouch that hurts):lmao:, anyways, what would everyone say about Group pictures at our First meet, Formal Night, and Pirates Night in PV. It would be fun to have everyone bring their cameras and/or video cams to our meets so that we can have pictures of everyone and so we can look back at the great times that will be had by all. Whata Think???

Hello Fellow Cruisers,

I purchased a Pirate costume a few months ago and I'm afraid I've indulged too much on comfort foods and now my costume does not fit as it did before. :faint: If if can't find a costume I will most likely wear something pertaining to the Pirate night theme (since I know I won't lose the extra lbs.) DD princess: is planning on bringing her Pirate Costume. As much $ I forked out last Halloween, she better get another use out of it. My other half :moped: will wear a Pirates of The Carribean Skull T-Shirt.

27 more days to go !! But who's counting ? :rotfl2:

We got our tickets...we got our tickets. yippeee!!!!! I love our UPS man!!!! He loves to bring me such excitement and joy!

By the way, DH, DD, and Mine were in one envelope and DS was in his own envelope with his own tickets, etc. Don't know why, but he was excited to get his own mail - from the UPS man no less

Gotta get busy with FE, gifts, more planning, shopping, blah, blah, blah!!!
