Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

Palo looks AMAZING!!!! I'm so looking forward to this meal. I love that they'll bring you smaller portions so you can try more things.

I was on the sideline if we should do dinner or not at Palo, but after reading your TR I'm in!!!

How mush extra was it? Did you make ressies before the cruise or once on board? Did you have a food allergy? I was wondering since you said your appetizer was in on the menu

Love all the Palo pictures. I have always wanted to do dinner in Palo but we never did. Hopefully we will get a chance to do it in the future. Great update.

Wow, that looks and sounds AMAZING! I didn't do the dinner because I didn't want to feel all awkward eating a big fancy dinner by myself :lmao: but I will be trying it on the Dream!

I love your trip report! :goodvibes I've been silently following along but I look forward to your posts every day! :cutie: You've got some great pictures and its so fun to read. You and your hubby are gorgeous together! Cant wait to read about the rest!

And don't forget to update us all when you're finally looking forward to that little souvenir ;)

Hi!! I have been MIA for a while, because SING is in full swing at work! 17 days to go until opening night, and I have been soooooo busy. But, I had to come here and read some of your review! I just made it here, and found your last post with pics from Palo. It looks amazing!!! I love the souffles on cruises also...delicious! Especially the chocolate ones! ;)

I will definitely catch up on your TR as soon as I can...but in the mean time, just wanted to stop by and say hello, I miss reading TRs here on the DIS, and hope you are doing great! :goodvibes

Bonnie HI! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how the production was going :goodvibes Glad to hear it's coming up so soon.

Thanks for stopping by to say hello! Hope your boys are doing well and will talk to you soon! That's if you're still alive and kicking after SING! ;)

Aw shoot, I should go back and edit my post to answer these great questions!

The price is $20 per person and that is with gratuity included in the price. But if you feel inclined to give more tip, there is a space available on the receipt to add more.

I don't have a food allergy and the reason that the appetizer wasn't on the menu is because (this is where I get embarrassed ) there were so many things I wanted to try and he offered to make me a sampler platter  I'm such an oinker! :lmao:

I so wouldn't mind eating there by myself if I had to. I'd probably be talking more to the waiter about the different foods and where he's from etc. I think you'd have a great time solo!

Aw, thank you so much!

I will DEFINITELY update you guys on what's going on with our future family! :goodvibes

Another fantastic update! So, which street taco was better? Did they have chicken? I would be willing to try this on our last day at Cabo. We live in Southern California, so no worries about getting sick on a plane. ;)

I loved all of your palo pictures. You ordered what I had last time, the tenderloin. And it was so good. They also brought out a pasta dish for us and it was to die for.

In Cabo, we just plan on getting a taxi and taking the kids to the glass blowing factory to watch them work and pick up some soveniours. Did you happen to see the factory there? And did the taxis look okay?

Thanks,

Jenni

Hi Jenni!

They did have chicken and lots of other different meats to try. We pretty much just stuck with things we knew we would like and it was amazing.

Mmm, that tenderloin sounds so good right now. We had a healthy meal for dinner of chicken, brown rice, and veggies. Blah:snooty:

There were tons of taxis and tons of tourists getting into them. I would feel completely safe taking a taxi anywhere. I didn't see the glass blowing factory but that sounds really cool.

And just walking around the tourist area of Cabo, I felt completely safe. Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Thanks for another great day! I felt like I was there with you! I am a pretty simple eater, so to me that taco truck is my version of palo. I dont really drink, but eating tacos until I pass out is my idea of a vacation :) I am the same way in Sacramento, if I see a taco truck or dive taqueria with all Mexicans and no white people, I know that is good. I will keep my eyes out for that truck in Cabo!

Daniel was our server in Palo last year and was EXCELLENT! Sadly, we won't be able to have him on our next cruise as he has moved to the Fantasy.

Thanks for all the updates! I've been swamped and haven't had a chance to reply, but I've been following along when I can watch from my computer. I don't ever bother looking at your updates from my phone because they just don't do it justice!

Palo dinner looks as amazing as I remember it, but in 2001 it was only a $5 supplement! :lmao:

I hope that we can do another Wonder Cruise. I even brought the "we can't go to Cabo" part up to Fran with the whole tender issue and she said, "the best part is on the ship, why would I mind?" so now all we have to do is come up with the money and I hope we can book. Hopefully they will have some 2013 itineraries!

I want that chocolate souffle!

Yum!!!! I cannot wait for that chocolate souffle at PALO!!!! Thanks for such great updates... can't wait for more. Your pics are great!

:rotfl:

Hey what ever works, those apps looked great and since you seem to work often no worries... :)

So did I miss it... di you say if you made ressies on or off the boat?

Hi! Everyone here is doing well...just very busy and tired. Monday is the last day of classes for the semester in high school...the rest of next week is Regents Week (state exams for high schools in NY). Instead of being a proctor for exams, I am working next Tuesday through Friday from 12-7pm. The students come in on those days for rehearsal from 9am-7pm. Another one of my advisors is with them in the morning before I get there. Then on Monday the 30th, there is a professional development day...once again I will be working the rehearsal from 12-7, as students will be there from 9-7 again. Then we will begin the new term, and rehearsals will be until 8pm for the 3 days leading up to the show. But I might be working until 10pm on those days, since we will be finishing up the Playbill (1,000 per night, 2 nights!). :scared1:

Eric and the boys are coming to the Saturday evening performance, Feb. 4th. There is a raffle at the end of intermission, and the boys get to pull the 2 winning raffle tickets! They are both very excited about that! ;)

I updated my pre-TR with pics (finally) from the day we left for Foxwoods! So I have finally begun posting food porn! :rotfl2:

I just got my shirt design from Shadowryter not too long ago and here it is

Mexican_Riviera_7_Wonder_mh_Am.jpg

What do you guys think???

I decided on this design, because this is something that is not over-the-top (saving that for the stateroom door lol) and is something DH would be willing to wear.

I love your t-shirt design... just wondering where and how can I find the information to order ours?

Ok I have to ask which was better brunch or dinner at Palo?? I think we are going to try and do both on our cruise, but I had to ask just in case we could only do one :goodvibes

Oh wow, your Palo dinner looks wonderful :cloud9:

I am going to try and grab a ressie for Brunch for our next cruise (don't think we'll have time for dinner as well)

I am loving your TR :goodvibes

Your Palo dinner looked beautiful and yummy. We didn't hit Palo on our Dream cruise last summer (Remy was our big splurge) but I really want to try it on the Magic in June. Your TR is SO selling Palo :rotfl: to me. I don't know what looks better dinner or brunch.

Really enjoying you trip report, can't wait for ours in April.

Two questions: Did you just use american dollars, in Cabo or did you exchange for Pecos? my wife is earing roumors that they don't take american any more:rotfl2:

Also, I have forgotten, when do you leave s tip for Palo servers? is it the same night as service?

thank you, can't wait to see more of your tr.
