Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

Wow Alicia that is a lot to have to deal with and ever since you were 19? Fran has a lot of those issues from all the pain meds that she takes. She gets something from Costco, I think it's colace, but not sure. She takes quite a bit every morning and night.

YES! YES! YES!!!

Holy moly i'm SO GLAD you're winning the battle! I'm so excited right now! Do you know when you officially find out and when you can make a reservation???

Escrow is supposed to close by the end of April. The total sale price of the building is something like 84 million, and the buyer is assuming a loan for over half that. I guess when you are dealing with that much money it takes longer than a $250,000 house! :lmao: I will wait until the money is in the bank. That might mean we will have to wait until after our WDW trip to book, but I can live with that.

Excellent news!!! I think it's a perfect place to not feel 100% since they do everything for you. Have you looked at it using points? then you wouldn't have to come up with any extra money.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I barely have enough points for all the trips I want to take to WDW, DLR (especially in F&W comes back in 2013) and Aulani. Besides have you looked at how many points the cruises cost? I could stay for three weeks (or more) at WDW for the price of a one week cruise for two!

For the amount of money we will get, a one week cruise will be a drop in the bucket. Heck Fran has already started spending the money and it hasn't even come in yet! :rotfl:

So looking forward to more TRs! DLR, cruise, whatever! popcorn::

You're definitely right. Cruising takes a hefty amount of points. I don't have enough vacation time right now to use them for long trips so am having to utilize them so they're not lost.

I hope the escrow goes through soon, that'll be wonderful :)

Without hijacking Alicia's TR... :rolleyes1 Being self employed, as long as our vacancies are filled we can takes trips at our leisure, plus being so close to DL we can use our points for overnight or short stays of two nights at a time.

Getting caught up! That view from your room at Paradise Pier was amazing! That's crazy about the bomb scare. Glad to hear that you got something to help you feel better Now you can truly enjoy your pregnancy!

Sorry Alicia, hope you don't mind :)

I dream of the day I have such fabulous flexibility. It's not that bad now, but I would definitely go more often and longer if I could.

I may have missed your answer among the many many pages on this thread. . but the zipline adventure you guys did in Puerto Vallarta did you book that through Disney? We are Doing Mexican Rivera cruise #3 on the wonder in less then two weeks - and we plan on booking the zip line adventure in the next couple days.

Alicia that sounds like torture! Does your OBGYN know your history? I'm sure she would be able to put together a nice cocktail of safe meds.

It is torture! I'll be seeing her in less than 2 weeks so hopefully she'll be able to give me something.

Not many people/women can relate to the stuff i've had to endure with my digestive issues. I got colace and it seems to be working. I'm 'going' every 3 or 4 days...not a lot but it's something.

Luckily for you, this cruise won't be packed so you can wait as long as you need! I'm just so happy that this cruise is even an option for you!

Hey Steph! Yeah it was pretty weird. Glad nothing happened though!

I LOVE the chatter when i'm gone! So keep on chatting ladies!

i love reading these updates!

I can't wait for my cruise!!!!!

Have fun on your cruise!

I did book it through Disney. However, if you go to vallarta-adventures.com, you can book through them directly and save some money. Have a blast!

I'm going to quickly end my Disneyland trip because something important needs to be said so here's the rest of the trip...

Apparently that 'bomb scare' ended up being a Geo-caching game in a backpack. It's like a GPS treasure hunt, I believe. It was hidden up in a tree so it looked suspicious and i'm glad that Disney employees took it seriously, even though it ended up being something ridiculous. You just never know now-a-days.

We ended up getting a lot done, regardless of lost time. But I do want to say that i've tried 3 new things on this trip, and one is Alison's fault.

My mom and I decided to grab some ice cream and take a seat over near IASW and I grabbed this. I know, shame on me for not getting the Mickey bar but this sounded good. We sat down to a very empty, quiet area, when all of a sudden, LOUD music came on (we were right under a speaker) and a small band came and played right in front of us. Then a lot of people crowded around. So much for our nice quiet ice cream spot! :lmao:

I've always loved Pickles and have them on hand at home pretty much at all times. However, i've never wanted to pay $3.01 for one pickle when I can get a jar. But the crave won so I gave in and i'm glad I did. It was just what I needed. Delicious, crisp and satisfying!

Alison had written in her TR about Tigger tails over at Pooh's Corner so I just had to have one. And boy was it delicious. It's marshmallows rolled in caramel and then rolled in a sugar topping! Yummy!

Overall, the trip was lots of fun, even though we didn't see most of my brother or sis-in-law during MY birthday trip. But oh well. HOWEVER, it will be made up for only a few short weeks later....

I thought I would have time to write this next update, but my DH and I have to go get lab work done. It's additional testing for Cystic Fibrosis and other things so i'll be back soon!

Loved catching up on your TR. Sorry you're having a rough go with your pregnancy..I hope you feel better soon. I enjoyed your DL updates..concierge is so addicitive:goodvibes Our last trip to WDW we stayed at the Poly in concierge and it was so great.

So didn't you love it OMG? It's one of the tastiest treats!

I hope everything is OK, Cystic Fibrosis? With all the troubles you have already talked about you don't need any more!!!!!

I hate to follow potential bad new with good news, but even though we don't have closure on our property, we had been checking in with a friend on the DIS newly turned TA. If I could give him our business instead of booking direct I thought it was good to help him in his new business.

He found us a great deal better than the DCL site and reserved us a Cat 3 HA suite for the Cruise we were looking for. When I told Fran about all the CL perks, she decided to go for it and just cross our fingers that the escrow closes! It's "almost" a sure thing and this was the last HA suite and there was only one other HA verandah room on that cruise so we're going for it! Now I have three trips to look forward to as long as surgery goes OK tomorrow!

So I look forward to only good news from you...but if not we'll be there for the bad news too. Best of luck to you on the tests.

Oh man, concierge was very addictive. It was so nice to have some food in the morning with some good coffee. We didn't get to partake in the evening offerings, however, my brother and sis-in-law got to (hence the reason we never saw them) and they loved it so much that they will be doing concierge at Paradise Pier in May for their anniversary.

The lab work we had done on Thursday was elective testing. We did not have to do it and costs extra but we feel it's better to know things than not knowing things. Especially since we don't have DH's family history on his dads side, we really want to prepare ourselves.

I'm trying so hard to think...what is HA?? Oh man, I've been so bad about reading up on others' TR's! Did Fran have surgery yesterday? How did it go?

I hope everything is alright! Sending prayers for you & baby !

My DH and I did some elective testing; it was optional and we didn't have to do it, but we figured it's better to know about everything up front (that is if there is anything to know). We'd be better prepared :thumbsup2

OMG! I can't believe my post from the other night didn't go through here! I started talking to a TA about the cruise I wanted. He looked it up and found that there was only one HA (Handicapped Accessible) stateroom left in the category I wanted. So Fran told me to go ahead and book it!

So we are now going on the 2nd to last DCL MR cruise! :cool1:

Hi Alicia! I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and reading along. I just caught up on your DL mini TR. I hope all the testing went well and that you're feeling even better now! :goodvibes

Hey Heather! I'm feeling much better now thanks for asking!

Yes. You read that right. We made an impromptu trip back to Disneyland only a few short weeks later. Why? Because DH wanted to. <---- this was me when he told me to make ressies. Some of you already know this but for those that don't, DH is NOT a Disneyland fan. That's my fault. I took him too much when we lived in Long Beach and he just got bored of it. So this took me by total surprise when he said he wanted to go to Disneyland just me and my mom with no one else.

I made reservations at Desert Inn and Suites on Harbor Blvd for Saturday March 31 (my actual bday) through Tuesday April 3. We wouldn't be arriving until late on Saturday because DH had some plans for football in Castaic (about 1 1/2 from Anaheim) and would already be down there early Saturday morning with other coaches, so my mom and I would leave town around 3 to pick him up.

About three days before we left, we decided to look up rates at the Paradise Pier Hotel and the rates were pretty decent considering we were going during Spring break, so we changed our last 2 nights to a Theme Park View at the Paradise Pier and kept the first night at Desert Inn.

I don't want to give a complete TR about this trip but here are some highlights:

-Our view from our room. Better than last time I think.

-Since our AP's weren't valid for Sunday, we decided to take a tour of the DVC villas. I'd never been to a timeshare presentation before but it was very low-key and nice. Mostly an information presentation rather than asking you to buy right now. The villas that we got to see were the Aulani Villas that are in Hawaii, and boy are they nice. After the tour we were given 6 Fastpasses to use in the park tomorrow or Tuesday, which was nice.

-I ended up snagging a lunch reservation at Blue Bayou for Monday, April 2. Hadn't been there in so long and it was a nice break from the busy park that day. I must say, I was very impressed with the meal this time around. Last time, DH wasn't too happy with it and was hesitant about eating here again, but it was very good!

And of course the famous Monte Cristo (this is basically the only reason I wanted to eat here.) I LOVED it!

-My mom had actually gotten on a ride that she hadn't been on since the 1970's...

707b514b.jpg

She had only been on it once and didn't like it back then, but she really did enjoy it this time and said she'll continue to ride it from now on. She has vertigo so she was worried about getting dizzy inside the ride and the only part that bothered her was the part where you're going up through that tunnel/hill at the very beginning and it starts to 'turn' on the outside so it feels like your turning. She'll close her eyes on that part from now on.

-We returned to our room one afternoon, to find no replenished shampoo, conditioner, towels, etc. So I called mousekeeping to ask for extra things. We left soon after, returned to our room later to a MOUND of towels and this

A BAG of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, and body wash! Happy birthday to me!

-While waiting for DH and my mom to get off Space Mountain one night, the fireworks started!

Crappy pics with my phone. But it was really neat seeing the fireworks from a different angle in the park. We could even see Tinkerbell flying!

-Something I had never seen before and my DH got it for himself at Marceline's:

A rice krispy turkey leg!

Okay so now for the best news of them all!

Wait for it...

Yep..we did it!

The offer and incentives were way too good to pass up! We are now officially DVC owners! :dance3: And we were given 16 additional Fast passes to use at the parks! What a fine time to be pregnant since the only FP rides i'm able to go on are Soarin' and Roger Rabbit LOL

YAY!!!! Omgosh i'm so excited for you!!!:yay::cheer2: I'm sooo stinking jealous! So what date is that exactly?

We leave on the 25th of November and return on the 2nd of December. I wish my cruise had a meet thread, but none yet. :sad2:
